The center channel is considered to be the most important in
any surround sound system. The CR7 is a compact center,
tuned and built like all Snell speakers — with smooth tonal
balance, excellent dispersion, and high power handling. This is
essential, since the center has the critical task of reproducing
the dialogue found on movie soundtracks.

We made the CR7 as small as possible without compromising
performance by extruding the cabinet from solid aluminum —
saving 1.5-inches from each dimension.

As a D’Appolito Array, named for our chief engineer Dr. Joe
D’Appolito Ph.D., the CR7 has great articulation and a wide
dispersion angle, making it perfect to handle its center channel
responsibilities. This elegant design serves equally well as an
LCR for the left and right main channels. When three CR7s are
used across the front of a multichannel system, the result is a
seamless, timbre matched soundstage.
