The adapter is part of the
collector system.
Do not operate unless the adapter and entire
collector are installed. If vacuum collector
is removed,
deflector is In original position.

Shut off tractor engine and
key before
installing or removing the adapter.
1. Refer to figure I to take inventory of required parts.
2. Attach the latch (K, figure 1) to
18 x 1 carriage bolt
washer (N),
16 lockwasher (M) and 5/ 16 nut
7/ 16 x I washer (P),
3. Install the spacer (D,‘figure l), with hardware shown,
in hole (A, figure 2) in mower deck. Remove existing
hardware. For the 42” adapter, use a
carriage bolt. For the48”adapter,
carriage bolt. For the 42” adapter, use a
8 washer (B,
supplied. For the 48” mower, use existing washer and
nut and the

4. In the top hole (B, figure 2) of the mower deck, install
the 3/8-16
washer (I) from bottom. Secure with
7/8 carriage bolt

locknut(H)
on top of deck.
5. Raise the mower
6. Hook the adaptor hold-down (R, figure 1) onto the
stone guard (C, figure 2). Then, lift the adaptor up into
place, hooking onto the spacer (D, figure 1). The
spring latch (K) should snap over the carriage bolt(J)
installed on mower deck in step 4.
Shut off the engine and
removing my part of the
REMOVAL
key before
collector.
To operate without the vacuum collector, remove the
adapter as follows. Unhook spring latch from bolt in
mower housing and then pull off, unhooking from spacer
and stone guard. Be sure mower deflector is down in
original position.
