4. My controller doesn’t charge

4.1

Make sure that the controller is connected correctly to the PS3 with the USB

cable

The PS3 must be turned on for it to be able to charge, otherwise the USB

ports won’t deliver electricity

Should the controller not charge (all 4 LED’s ash simultaneously), even
though you followed the rst steps, try using a dierent USB port, or
optionally a dierent USB device (e.g. PC)

4.2

Should the Premium Bluetooth Controller not be used for a long time, it could
happen that the controller will not charge despite the USB connection. Set the
controller back to the delivery status as seen in chapter 3 and try the steps in

4.1 again

Before using your snakebyte Premium Bluetooth Controller please read

this manual thoroughly. If you comply with all instructions and tips, using
the Premium Bluetooth Controller is easy and comfortable. Please retain this
manual for future reference.

If you don’t want to lose your warranty, please refrain from disassembling

the Premium Bluetooth Controller – there are no user serviceable parts
inside anyway. Inappropriate handling does invalidate the warranty and
leads to malfunctions of the device.

Keep your PlayStation 3 Bluetooth Controller away from liquids and liquid

containers such as vases, bottles, hot baths, jacuzzi tubs, etc. Any damage
occurring from liquids invalidates the warranty.

Operating Instructions

The snakebyte Premium Bluetooth Controller is operated with an integrated
rechargeable battery. Charge your Controller with the USB cable and avoid
declining battery capacity. You should make sure that the battery is only charged
when it is completely drained, otherwise it will suer from the so called “memory
eect”.

Operating instructions for the bonus triggers

The bonus triggers which are included in the delivery are NOT for use with the
Premium Bluetooth Controller. These bonus triggers can only be tted on the
original SIXAXIS or DualShock 3 controller’s L2 and R2 triggers. This changes the
convex trigger shape to a much more soothing concave trigger shape.
Set the bonus triggers on top of the L2/R2 triggers and push them down. These
should latch over them with a little bit of force.

Synchronisation of the Premium Bluetooth Controller

In order to use the snakebyte Premium Bluetooth Controller with your PlayStation
3 it needs to be synchronised with the console.

Registration of the Premium Bluetooth Controller

Plug in the USB cable in one of the USB ports of your PS3
Plug in the other end of this cable in the mini-USB port on the top of the

Premium Bluetooth Controller.

Turn on the PlayStation 3
Press the Home Button (3)

The controller is registered as soon as one of the red LED’s on top of the
controller constantly glows. The position of the LED shows the controller’s
number.

Charging the Premium Bluetooth Controller

With a controller registered to the console:

Fast ashing of the LED shows that the battery is nearly discharged and
charging of the internal battery with the USB cable is required.

Slow ashing of the LED shows that the battery is being charged (with the
USB cable connected)

If the battery is fully charged, the LED will glow constantly.

With a controller not registered to the console:

If the controller LED ashes quickly, it is activated but not registered to
the console. After a minute of scanning for a connection unsuccessfully, the
controller will enter sleep mode.

If the LED ashes slowly and constantly, the controller is being charged.

If the controller is fully charged, the LED will not glow.

Charging with the PS3:

To charge the controller, connect it with the USB cable to the PS3. Is the PS3
turned on, the LED should ash slowly, which indicates charging of the
controller.

If the controller is in charging status and is registered to the PS3, it will not enter
sleep mode, as long as the controller is not fully charged. If the controller is fully
charged (LED glows constantly), it can be operated normally. If it is not used for
some time, the controller enters sleep mode to soothe the battery.

Charging with a dierent USB device:

If you want to charge the controller with a variable USB device (e.g. PC, snakebyte
PS3 Charging Cradle), connect the controller via any USB cable to your PC.

Important:

While charging with the PC, the controller can not be registered to the PS3
To register the controller with the PS3, detach the USB cable from the PC

and press Home (3)

If the controller is registered to the PS3 and is being charged by the PC for
some time, it will enter sleep mode. Even in sleep mode, the controller will
charge continuously.

Sleep mode

The sleep mode allows the controller to switch o to save battery capacity. The
controller enters sleep mode when:

it can‘t connect to the PS3 after the Home Button (3) of the Premium
Bluetooth Controller has been pressed

the controller is connected to the PS3, but there hasn‘t been a button
pressed or the analogue stick moved for ten minutes.
To exit sleep mode, please press the Home Button (3) of your Premium Bluetooth
Controller.

Change of the controller number

In the PS3’s main menu:

Go to the menu „settings“

Under „peripheral-settings“ choose the option „reassign controller“

Pick the controller number of your choice

While in-game:

Hold down the Home button (3) until the PS3 menu appears
Choose the option „controller settings“
Conrm the function „assign controller“ with the X button
Pick the chosen controller number

How to use the turbo function of the Premium PS3 Bluetooth Controller

The Premium PS3 Bluetooth Controller has a convenient function, it can assign a
turbo function to each independent button. If the turbo function is activated for
one of the buttons, it will do 15 button presses every second as long as it is held.
This function is very useful in action games which have no continuous re.

Activating and Deactivating the turbo function of the Premium PS3
Bluetooth Controller

To activate the turbo function:

Hold down the turbo button (1)
Hold down the button, which you want to assign the turbo function to

(e.g. X)

Let go of the turbo button
The turbo function is active if you hold down the button you assigned the

turbo function to and the turbo-LED (4) ashes

To deactivate the turbo function:

Hold down the clear button (2)
Press the button which was previously assigned to the turbo function
You can spot that the turbo function is deactivated, when the turbo-LED (4)

doesnt glow any longer

TROUBLESHOOTING

If you encounter any problems using the snakebyte Premium PS3 Bluetooth
Controller please read this section carefully before contacting our customer
support or your dealer.

1. My Premium Bluetooth Controller doesn‘t work

Ensure that the controller is registered properly with the console (cf. to the

chapter „Registration of the Premium Bluetooth Controller“)

Connect the controller with the USB cable to the PS3, turn it on and let the

controller charge for a while (all 4 LED’s must ash properly). Try again.

2. My controller doesn’t vibrate / motion control doesn’t react

Make sure that the respective function of the respective game is activated

and the game supports the SIXAXIS and DualShock functions.

Make sure your PlayStation console has been updated to rmware v2.0 or
even later versions. Older PlayStation 3 rmware does not support vibration
feedback.

3. My controller cannot be registered

Make sure that all of the steps in the chapter „Registration of the Premium
Bluetooth Controller“ were followed correctly

Take a long, sharp object (e.g. xing pin) and press it into the reset button
holder at the back of the controller to set it back to the delivery status. This
should reset the controller

Register the controller anew

TERMS OF GUARANTEE

We issue a guarantee of t wo years after purchase of the snakebyte Premium
Bluetooth Controller. Therefore, please preserve your invoice, e.g. together with
this manual.
In order not to invalidate the warranty and to protect your health never try
to repair and/or disassemble the device. There are no user serviceable parts
inside anyway. On top, the danger of electric shock or even re is reduced
considerably.
The guarantee is limited to defective parts or faulty assembly of the Controller
exclusively, i.e. it only covers manufacturing defects.
Amongst others the following defects can not be asserted:

basically all defects resulting from violation of this manual
defects resulting from improper use or cleaning
mechanical and optical aws (e.g. scratches, broken casing caused by brute

force or carelessness)

defects caused by force majeure
any defects caused by components that are not themselves parts of or the

DISPOSAL OF OLD APPLIANCES

Please dispose of defect old appliances through a recycling machine, which is

Instrucciones sobre el funcionamiento

El control Bluetooth Premium Snakebyte funciona con una batería recargable
integrada. Cargue su control con el cable USB y evite deteriorar la capacidad de
la batería. Asegúrese de solamente cargar la batería cuando esté completamente
agotada, pues de lo contrario sufrirá el “efecto memoria”.

Instrucciones sobre el funcionamiento de los detonadores adicionales

Los detonadores adicionales incluidos en la entrega NO son para usar con el
control Bluetooth Premium. Estos detonadores solamente se pueden colocar
en los detonadores L2 y R2 de los controles SIXAXIS o DualShock originales.
Estos detonadores hacen que cambie la forma convexa de los detonadores a
una forma cóncava mucho más confortable. Coloque estos detonadores encima
de los detonadores L2 y R2 y presiónelos hacia abajo con algo de fuer za hasta
que calcen.

Sincronización del control Bluetooth Premium

Para poder usar el control Bluetooth Premium con su PlayStation 3, debe
sincronizarlo con la consola.

Registro del control Bluetooth Premium

Conecte el cable USB a uno de los puertos de su PS3.
Conecte el otro extremo del cable al puerto para mini-USB que se encuentra

en la parte superior del control Bluetooth Premium.
Encienda la PlayStation 3.
Presione el Botón de Inicio (3).
Una vez que el control se haya registrado, se encenderá y brillará en forma

constante la luz LED roja que se encuentra en la parte superior del control. La

posición de la luz LED indica el número del control.

Cómo cargar el control Bluetooth Premium

Cuando el control está registrado en la consola:

Una luz LED que destella rápidamente indica que la batería está casi

descargada y que se debe cargar la batería interna con el cable USB.
Si la luz LED emite destellos lentamente, indica que se está cargando la

batería (con el cable USB conectado).
Si la batería está totalmente cargada, la luz LED estará encendida en forma

permanente.

Cuando el control no está registrado en la consola:

Si la luz LED emite destellos rápidos, el control está activado pero no está

registrado en la consola. Después de un minuto de buscar una conexión

infructuosamente, el control pasará al modo stand-by.
Si la luz LED emite destellos lentos y constantes, el control se está cargando.
Si el control está totalmente cargado, la luz LED no emitirá destellos.

Cómo cargar el control con la PS3

Para cargar el control, conéctelo con el cable USB a la PS3. Si la PS3 está
encendida, la luz LED debería emitir destellos lentamente, lo que indica que se
está cargando el control.

Si el control se está cargando y está registrado en la PS3, no pasará al modo
stand-by en tanto no se haya cargado totalmente. Si el control está totalmente
cargado (la luz LED brilla en forma constante), puede funcionar normalmente. Si
no se usa durante algún tiempo, el control pasa a modo stand-by para ahorrar
la carga de la batería.

Cómo cargar el control con un dispositivo USB diferente

Si desea cargar el control con un dispositivo USB diferente (por ejemplo una PC,
un cargador Snakebyte de la PS3), conecte el control a su PC con el cable USB.

Advertencia

Mientras se carga el control en la PC, el control no puede estar registrado en

la PS3.

Para registrar el control en la PS3, desconecte el cable USB de la PC y presione

el Botón de Inicio (3).

Si el control está registrado en la PS3 y se está cargando en la PC durante

algún tiempo, pasa a modo stand-by. Sin embargo, aun cuando haya pasado
a modo stand-by se seguirá cargando en forma continuada.

Modo stand-by

La modalidad stand-by permite que el control se desactive para ahorrar batería.
El control pasa al modo stand-by cuando:

no puede conectarse a la PS3 después que se ha presionado el Botón de

Inicio (3) del control Bluetooth Premium;

el control está conectado a la PS3 pero no se ha presionado ningún botón ni

se ha movido ninguna palanca durante diez minutos.
Para salir de la modalidad stand-by, presione el Botón de Inicio (3) de su control
Bluetooth Premium.

Cambio de número del control

En el menú principal de la PS3:

Vaya al menú de “Conguración” [Settings]
Dentro de la opción “Conguración de Periféricos” [Peripheral Settings] elija

la opción “Reasignar Control” [Reassign Controller].

Elija el número que preera para su control.

Mientras está jugando:

Presione el Botón de Inicio (3) hasta que aparezca el menú de la PS3.
Elija la opción “Conguración del Control” [Controller Settings].
Conrme la función “Asignar Control” [Assign Controller”] con el botón X.
Seleccione el número que haya elegido.

Cómo usar las turbofunciones del control Bluetooth Premium PS3

El control Bluetooth Premium tiene una función muy conveniente: puede asignar
una turbofunción a cada botón independiente. Si se activan las turbofunciones
de uno de los botones, el jugador podrá presionarlo 15 veces por segundo
mientras no lo suelte. Esta función es muy útil en los juegos de acción que no
tienen disparador continuo.

Cómo activar y desactivar la turbofunción del control Bluetooth Premium

Para activar la turbofunción:

Mantenga presionado el Botón Turbo (1).
Mantenga presionado el botón al que desea asignar la turbofunción (por

ejemplo, X).
Suelte el Botón Turbo.
La turbofunción estará activa si, cuando usted mantiene presionado el

botón al que asignó la turbofunción, la luz LED de la turbofunción (4) emite

destellos.

Para desactivar la turbofunción:

Mantenga presionado el Botón de Borrar (2).
Presione el botón al que asignó previamente la turbofunción.
Una vez que haya desactivado la turbofunción, se apagará la luz LED de la

turbofunción (4).

SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS

Si al usar el control Bluetooth Premium Snakebyte para la PS3 encuentra algún
problema, consulte esta sección cuidadosamente antes de comunicarse con
nuestro servicio de atención al cliente o con el distribuidor de su zona.

1. El control Bluetooth Premium no funciona.

Asegúrese de que el control se haya registrado correctamente en la consola

(Consulte el capítulo “Registro del control Bluetooth Premium”).

Conecte el control a la PS3 con el cable USB, enciéndalo y deje que se

cargue durante algún tiempo (las cuatro luces LED deben emitir destellos
apropiadamente). Intente nuevamente usar el control.

2. El control no vibra; el control de movimientos no reacciona.

Asegúrese de que esté ac tivada la función correspondiente del juego que

está usando y que el juego soporte las funciones SIXAXIS y DualShock.

Asegúrese de que la consola de su PlayStation tenga el programa actualizado

v2.0 o posterior. Los programas más antiguos de la PlayStation 3 no soportan
la retroalimentación de vibraciones.

3. El control no se registra.

Asegúrese de haber realizado correctamente todos los pasos del capítulo

“Registro del control Bluetooth Premium”.

Tome un objeto largo y con punta (por ejemplo un aller) y presiónelo en

el oricio del Botón de Reinicio en la parte inferior del control para llevarlo
nuevamente a las condiciones en que lo adquir ió. Esto debería hacer que el
control vuelva a funcionar.

Registre nuevamente el control.

4. El control no se carga.

4.1

Asegúrese de que el control esté conectado correctamente a la PS3 con el

cable USB.

Para que el control se cargue, la PS3 debe estar encendida; de lo contrario, los

Entre otras, no se podrán invocar las siguientes razones para utilizar la garantía:

básicamente ninguna falla que resulte de una violación de este manual;
ninguna falla que resulten de uso o limpieza inapropiados;
ningún defecto mecánico o visual (por ejemplo rayones, rotura de la carcasa

causada por fuerza bruta o descuidos);
ningún desperfecto causado por fuerza mayor;
ninguna falla causada por componentes que no forman parte del propio

control.

CÓMO ELIMINAR LAS UNIDADES USADAS

Cuando desee eliminar una unidad usada, hágalo en una máquina de reciclaje
que no afecte al medio ambiente y cumpla la directiva 2002/96/EG de la Unión
Europea aprobada por el Parlamento Europeo. No la tire a la basura como
cualquier otro desperdicio normal de su hogar.
