NOTE: Please read this information before installing. Check components received with components listed above. NO DRILLING IS REQUIRED for installation of these Sure-Steps side bars. To obtain correct installation we recommend
you follow these step by step installation instructions carefully. Please take care when installing this product to protect the finish and your investment.
Step One: Locate hardware kit and check contents with the list below.

4 Mounting Brackets 4 12mm x 50mm hex bolts, zinc plated 4 12mm flat washers, zinc plated 4 12mm split lock washers, zinc plated 8 10mm clip nuts 16 10mm x 40mm hex bolts, zinc plated 24 10mm flat washers, zinc plated 16 10mm lock washers, zinc plated 8 10mm hex nuts, zinc plated 4 3” (75mm) plastic rings

Step Two: Locate the factory front and rear mounting points under the vehicle on the pinch weld. As per the illustration, install the 10mm clip nuts. (NOTE: the rear mount will require two clip nuts and the front only one. Drilling to mount a second clip nut on the front mount is optional but not required.)
Step Three: Loosely fasten the mounting brackets to the body using the 10mm hardware provided. Step Four: Place the side bars into position and loosely attach with the 12mm hardware.
Step Five: After checking to make sure the side bars are level and square with the side of the vehicle, completely tighten all
hardware.
Step Six: Periodically check and retighten the hardware as necessary.
IMPORTANT: Sure-Step side bars have a 300 lb. weight capacity. To protect your investment, wax this product after
installing. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer over the finish.
Cleaning Instructions
For stainless steel – mild soap, window or glass cleaner may be used. Aluminum polish may be used to polish small
scratches and scuffs on the finish.
For gloss black and chrome finishes - mild soap, window or glass cleaner may be used. Do not use any type of polish or wax that contains abrasive that could damage the finish.
