NOTE: Please read this information before installing. Check components received with components listed
above.
SOME DRILLING REQUIRED for installation of these Side Bars. To obtain correct installation, we
recommend you to follow these step by step installation instructions carefully. Please take care when

Step One

4 12mm x 50mm Hex Bolt-zinc plated
8 12mm Lockwasher-zinc plated
8 12mm Flatwasher-zinc plated
2 10mm Hex Nut-zinc plated
4 10mm Flatwasher-zinc plated
2 10mm Lockwasher-zinc plated
2 10mm x 32mm Hex Bolt-zinc plated
4 12mm x 110mm Hex Bolts-zinc plated
4 3” Plastic Rings

Step Two: Remove the four body mount bolts.
Step Three

flatwashers, and 12mm lockwashers as shown in the drawing and hand tighten.
Step Four: Place the side bars into position. (NOTE: To determine which side bar is the left or right, check the
number on the welded insert at the end of the tube.)

Step Five
Step Six: Remove the 12mm x 50mm bolts holding the end of the side bar to the rear mounting br acket. Put the

short end of the support bracket up to the backside of the rear mounting bracket and attach it with the 12mm
hardware previously removed.. Orient the bracket so that the long end touches the bottom of the frame. Using the
hole in the long end of the bracket as a guide, drill a 7/16” hole in the bottom of the frame and attach it with the
10mm hardware provided.

Step Seven

completely tighten all hardware.
Step Eight: Periodically check and retighten the hardware as necessary.

: Locate hardware kit. Check contents with the hardware listed below.

: Attach the front and rear mounting brackets to the body mounts with the 12mm bolts, 12mm

: Attach the side bars to the mounting brackets with the 12mm hardware and 3” plastic rings provided.

: After checking to make sure the side bars are level and square with the side of the vehicle

Cleaning and Maintenance

To protect your investment, wax this product after installing. Regular waxing is recommended to add a
protective layer over the finish. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives that could
damage the finish.
For stainless steel: Aluminum polish may be used to polish small scratches and scuffs on the finish. Mild soap,
window or glass cleaner may be used also.

For gloss black finishes: Mild soap, window and glass cleaner may be used.

LIMITED WARRANTY

Smittybilt (The Company) warrants to the original purchaser of this product that should the product or any part thereof, unde r
normal use and conditions, be proven defective in material or workmanship within the warranty period of 5 years from the date of
purchase, such defect(s) will be repaired or replaced (At the Company’s option) without charge for parts or labor. To obtain repair
or replacement within the terms of the warranty, the product is to be delivered with proof of warranty coverage ( e.g. dated bill of
sale, receipt), specification of defect, freight pre-paid with Returns Good Authorization Number from Smittybilt to place of
purchase. Items returned to Smittybilt without a Returns Authorization Number will be refused and returned to sender at the
senders’ expense.

This warranty does not apply to any product or part thereof which, in the opinion of the Company, has suffered or been damaged
through altercation, improper installation, mishandling, misuse, neglect accident or acts of nature. THE EXTENT OF THE

COMPANY’S LIABILITY UNDER THIS WARRANTY IS LIMITED TO THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT
PROVIDED ABOVE AND, IN NO EVENT, SHALL THE COMPANY’S LIABILITY EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE
PAID BY THE PURCHASER FOR THIS PRODUCT.

This warranty is in lieu of all expressed warranties and liabilities. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY

IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS WRITTEN
WARRANTY. ANY ACTION FOR BREACH OF ANY WARRANTY HEREUNDER INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED
WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY MUST BE BROUGHTH WITHIN A PERIOD OF 90 DA YS FROM D A TE OF
ORIGINAL PURCHASE.IN NO CASE SHALL THE COMPANY BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL OR
INCIDENTAL DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF THIS OR ANY OTHER WARR AN TY, EXPR ESSE D OR
IMPLIED,WHATSOEVER. No person or representative is authorized to assume for the company any liability other than expressed
herein in connection with the sale of this product. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the
