two-compartment design
The smeg SWC120X-1 has two separate compartments, each having a capacity of 60 litres.
Each compartment has its own door and separate control panel, allowing operation of one
side only or both compartments simultaneously. Individual controls also enable the setting of
different temperatures for each compartment. Each control panel also displays the current
temperature, temperature adjustments and interior lights on and off independently of each
other.
automatic defrost
Because of the lower temperatures within the beverage side (right-hand compartment)
an automatic defrost cycle is incorporated to eliminate any frost or ice built-up. During
the defrost cycle, the fans run and the ice melts and drains to a removable drip tray.
When defrosting is in progress, the LCD display shows the average temperature within the
compartment, the fan icon in action and the word STOP ashes. Normal defrosting takes
thirty minutes. Remember, this is an automatic program — it does not have to be initiated by
you.
