Instructions for the installer
If it is necessary to adapt the hob for use with a different type of gas from the factory-set one, adjust it before mounting the hob, according to the instructions in “5. Adaptation to different types of gas”.
The following operation requires building and/or carpentry work and must therefore be carried out by a competent tradesman. Installation can be carried out on various materials such as masonry, metal, solid wood or plastic laminated wood as long as they are heat-resistant (T 90°C).

2.1 Fixing to the supporting structure

Create an opening in the counter top with the dimensions shown in the figure, keeping a minimum distance of 100 mm from the rear edge. This appliance can be installed next to walls which are higher than the hob top, provided that the distance shown in the illustration is maintained in order to avoid damage from overheating. Make sure there is a minimum distance of 750 mm between the hob and any shelf or hood that may be installed directly above it.

2. Positioning in the counter top

If the hob is installed on top of an oven, the latter must be equipped with a cooling fan.
In case of installation on an empty kitchen unit with doors, a separation panel must be placed under the hob. Keep a minimum distance of 10 mm between the bottom of the hob and the surface of the panel, which must be easily extractable to allow sufficient access for any technical assistance.

Instructions for the installer

2.2 Positioning the adhesive sponge

Carefully position the adhesive sponge (provided) on the outside edge of the hob frame. It will separate the frame surface from the unit surface. The figure to the right shows the correct position of the sponge. Pay close attention during positioning to
ensure that it does not extend past the outer edge of the frame.

2.3 Positioning the fastening clips

Insert the fastening clips in each of the positions indicated by the arrows. The clips ensure that the hob will be fixed and centred as accurately as possible.
To install the clips into the hob, all you have to do is insert them horizontally into the appropriate space by applying light pressure (fig. A). Then turn them upwards to fix them in place (fig. B).

2.4 Inserting the hob into the hole in the work surface

Be very careful when inserting the hob. If the process is not followed correctly as described, the hob may be damaged.
Before inserting it, remove the racks (if they are mounted) and burners from the hob.
Insert the hob, resting the frame completely on the back edge of the hole in the work surface. Do not apply pressure to the frame as this part is very fragile and could be damaged. Then lower the front of the hob until it is fully inserted.

3. Electrical connection

Make sure that the voltage and capacity of the power line conform to the data shown on the plate located under the casing. Do not remove this plate for any reason.
The plug at the end of the supply cable and the wall socket must be of the same type and must conform to the applicable legislation on electrical installations. Make sure that the supply line is suitably earthed.
Pass the power supply cable through the back of the unit, taking care that it does not touch the bottom casing of the hob or the oven (if any) installed underneath it.
Fit the power line with an omnipolar circuit-breaker with a contact opening gap equal to or greater than 3 mm, in an easily accessible position close to the appliance.
Avoid the use of adapters and shunts.
If the power cable is replaced, the cross-section of wires in the new cable must be no less than 0.75 mm2 (3 x 0.75 cable), remembering that the end for connection to the appliance must have an earth wire (yellow/green) which is at least 20 mm longer. Only use a H05V2V2-F or similar cable resistant to temperatures of up to 90°C. The replacement must be made by a specialist technician who must implement the connection to the power grid according to the diagram below.
L = brown N = blue
= yellow/green
The power supply cable must be replaced by an authorised service centre to prevent any risks.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for damage to persons or things caused by non-observance of the above directions or by interference with any part of the appliance.
