Prima dell'uso

 E' preferibile lasciare l'apparecchio fermo per due ore prima

di eseguire il collegamento elettrico per diminuire la
possibilità di funzionamento irregolare del sistema
refrigerante causato dal trasporto.

 Pulire l'apparecchio, soprattutto l'interno (vedi il capitolo

Pulizia dell'apparecchio).

 Disporre gli accessori interni come dimostrato nelle istruzioni

(il tipo degli accessori dipende dal modello).

L'istruzioni per l'uso servono à l'utente. Oltre la descrizione
dell'apparecchio danno anche istruzioni per l'uso regolare e
sicuro. Si possono usare per diversi tipi/modelli degli
apparecchi perciò è possibile che il vostro apparecchio non ha

L'apparecchio prevvisto per l'installazione nel mobile di cucina
è dotato d'istruzioni per l'incastro.
L'installazione deve essere eseguita da un tecnico specialista.

Nostra cura dell'ambiente

 Per l’imballo degli apparecchi vengono usati materiali non

inquinanti che possono essere riciclati, depositati o distrutti
senza il rischio per l’ambiente. Per tal fine i materiali
d’imballaggio sono adeguatamente contrassegnati.

 Anche il libretto d'istruzioni è stampato alla carta riciclata o

alla carta imbianchiata senza cloro.

 Quando l’apparecchio giunge a fine vita e diventa inutile,

provvedere all’eliminazione adeguata per non causare
l’impatto sull’ambiente. Consegnare l’apparecchio
all’azienda autorizzata di raccolta degli apparecchi
elettrodomestici inutilizzabili (vedi il capitolo Rimozione
dell’apparecchio giunto a fine vita).

Risparmio energia

 Non aprire la porta dell’apparecchio più frequentamente

come necessario, soprattuto durante i periodi caldi ed umidi.
Non lasciare la porta dell’apparecchio aperta troppo lungo ­particolarmente quella dei congelatori verticali.

 Verificare se circola l’aria necessaria per assicurare il

raffreddamento all’apparecchio (le aperture della mascherina

 Ruotare la manopola termostato dalla impostazione alta alla

pià bassa appena che l'utilizzo e le circostanze lo
permettono.

 Raffreddare i cibi alla temperatura ambiente prima di metterli

nell’apparecchio.

 I rivestimenti di brina o ghiaccio aumentano il consumo

d'energia elettrica. E' raccomandabile togliere la brina subito
quando raggiunge uno spessore di 3-5 mm.

 La guarnizione danneggiata causa maggior consumo

d’energia, perciò bisogna provvedere a tempo alla
sostituzione.

 Il condensatore posto sul fondo dell’apparecchio deve

essere sempre pulito e senza polvere (vedi capitolo Pulizia
dell’apparecchio).

 Mancato rispetto delle istruzioni descritte nei capitolati

“Posizionamento e Risparmio energia” può causare un
maggior consumo d’energia.

Istruzioni per l'uso

Avvertenze importanti

 Questo apparecchio è conforme ai standard in vigore.

L’apparecchio non può essere usato senza sorveglianza
dalle persone con ridotte capacità fisiche, movimentali o
mentali oppure dalle persone senza esperienza e
conoscenza. Lo stesso consiglio vale per l’uso
dell’apparecchio dalla parte delle persone minoreni.

 Nel caso in cui questo apparecchio sostituisce uno di

vecchio tipo con chiusura della porta non apribile dall'interno
si deve rendere inservibile la serratura, cerniera, ecc. per
evitare che i bambini giocando possano
rinchiudersi nell'interno metendo a repentaglio la loro vita.

 Collegare correttamente l'apparecchio alla rete elettrica (vedi

il capitolo Collegamento elettrico).

 I cibi di odore o colore sospettoso sono pericolosi ad essere

consumati e devono essere gettati via.

 Disinserire l'apparecchio dalla presa di corrente prima di

procedere alla riparatura (sempre eseguita da un tecnico
specialista), pulizia o sostituzione della lampadina.

 Per lo sbrinamento dell’apparecchio non usare mai

apparecchi elettrici (asciugacapelli o simili) e non rimuovere
la brina o il ghiaccio con oggetti taglienti. Usare solo gli
utensili in dotazione i.e. utensili permessi dal produttore.

 Dedicando massima attenzione all’ambiente sano, essere

attenti di non danneggiare lo schienale dell’apparecchio (il
condensatore o il tubo, per es. al trasporto dell’apparecchio
inutilizzabile) o le parti del circuito refrigerante nell’interno
dell’apparecchio. Perciò non usare gli oggetti taglienti per lo
sbrinamento - usare solo utensili in dotazione oppure utensili
permessi dal produttore.

 L’apparecchio contiene il refrigerante ed olio, perciò bisogna

eliminare l’apparecchio danneggiato in conformità alle
richieste ecologiche di sicurezza (vedi il capitolo “Nostra
cura dell’ambiente”).

 Se il cavo di alimentazione é danneggiato, può essere

sostituito dal produttore o da suo centro di assistenza o da
una persona qualificata, per evitare il pericolo.

 Targhetta è posta all'interno o sul retro dell'apparecchio.
 Attenzione! Le aperture per l’areazione d’apparecchio

oppure quelle nel mobile ad incasso devono rimanere libere
e pulite.

 Attenzione! Durante lo sbrinamento non usate gli oggetti

meccanici o altri metodi, tranne quelli che consiglia il
produttore.

 Attenzione! Durante il collocamento, la pulizia e la

rimozione d’apparecchio dovete fare attenzione a non
danneggiare le parti di isolamento e il sistema di
raffreddamento. Eviterete l’inquinamento ambientale.

 Attenzione! All’interno d’apparecchio non potete usare le

apparecchiature elettriche, tranne quelle permesse dal
produttore d’apparecchio frigorifero - congelatore.

 Dopo l’incasso o collocamento la presa della corrente

elettrica deve essere raggiungibile!

Il simbolo sul prodotto o sulla confezione indica
che il prodotto non deve essere considerato come
un normale rifiuto domestico, ma deve essere

portato nel punto di raccolta appropriato per il
riciclaggio di apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche.
Provvedendo a smaltire questo prodotto in modo
appropriato, si contribuisce a evitare potenziali
conseguenze negative per l’ambiente e per la salute, che
potrebbero derivare da uno smaltimento inadeguato del
prodotto. Per informazioni più dettagliate sul riciclaggio di
questo prodotto, contattare l’ufficio comunale, il servizio
locale di smaltimento rifiuti o il negozio in cui è stato
acquistato il prodotto.

Rimozione dell’apparecchio giunto a fine vita

 L’apparecchio giunto a fine vita deve essere

immediatamente eliminato dall’uso.
L’eventuale serratura o chiavistello devono essere resi
inservibili per evitare che i bambini giocando possano
rinchiudersi nell’interno metendo a repentaglio la loro vita.

 I frigoriferi ed i congelatori contengono refrigerante e

componenti d’isolamento che richiedono una degradazione
speciale. Perciò, all’eliminazione dell’apparecchio vecchio,
rivolgersi a casa autorizzata di raccolta degli apparecchi
inutilizzabili oppure consultare l’amministrazione comunale o
il commerciante. A causa del possibile impatto sull’ambiente
essere attenti di non danneggiare il tubo sullo schienale.

 Fare attenzione a non danneggiare il tubo posizionato

posteriormente in basso per non inquinare l’ambiente.

Installazione e collegamento

Scelta luogo

Posizionare l'apparecchio in luogo asciutto con circolazione
regolare. La temperatura d'ambiente permissibile per il
funzionamento normale dipende dalla versione (classe)
d'apparecchio ed è indicata sulla targhetta.
Non posizionare l'apparecchio vicino ai fonti di calore, p.es.
una cucina, radiatore, scaldacqua ecc. e non esporrlo ai raggi
diretti del sole.
L’apparecchio deve essere almeno 3 cm distante dalla cucina
elettrica o cucina gas e almeno 30 cm distante dalla stufa. Se
la distanza è minore, bisogna usare una piastra di isolamento.

Classe Temperatura d’ambiente

SN (subnormale) da + 10°C a + 32°C
N (normale) da + 16°C a + 32°C
ST (subtropicale) da + 16°C a + 38°C
T (tropicale) da + 16°C a + 43°C

Collegamento elettrico

Collegare l'apparecchio alla rete tramite il cavo
d'alimentazione. La presa deve avere il contatto di terra (la
presa di sicurezza). La tensione nominale e la frequenza sono
riportate sulla targhetta.
Il collegamento alla rete e la messa a terra devono essere
eseguiti in conformità alle norme e prescrizioni vigenti.
L'apparecchio può sopportare i brevi sbalzi di tensione che non
superano -6% o +6%.

Regolazione dell’altezza dell’apparecchio

L'apparecchio è dotato di quattro piedini regolabili che possono
variare la sua altezza da 82 cm a 90 cm. Regolare i piedini
prima dell'incasso. L'altezza dell'apparecchio deve essere tale,
che la parte superiore viene collocata sotto il piano di lavoro
(vedi ” Istruzioni d'incastro”).

Mensola (1)

La mensola può essere posizionata all'interno dell'apparecchio
secondo le esigenze. È dotata di protezione contro l'estrazione
accidentale.

Potete posizionare la mensola sulle prime quattro guide,
abbassando la parte frontale e posizionando la parte posteriore
sulla guida e poi inserirla.

Per inserirla sulle tre guide inferiori bisogna invece, alzare la
parte frontale della mensola e posizionare la parte posteriore
sulla guida e poi inserirla.
Quando volete estrarre la mensola, alzate la parte posteriore
ed estraetela in senso contrario all'inserimento.
Le mensole di vetro sono protette con cornici di plastica.

Conservare i cibi, che si guastano presto, alla parte posteriore
del ripiano dove è il pià freddo.

Apertura per scarico acqua di sbrinamento (2)

Sotto la piastra refrigerante che serve al raffreddamento
dell'interno frigorifero (montata nella parete posteriore) si
trovano la scanalatua ed il foro dove si raccoglie l'acqua
sbrinata.
La scanalatura ed il foro non devono essere tappati (p.es con
resti dei cibi). Si consiglia perciò di controllarli e pulirli secondo
il bisogno (p.es. con una cannuccia).

Cassetto per frutta e verdura e vassoio (3)

Il cassetto è posizionato in fondo al frigorifero coperto con il
vassoio. Il vassoio serve per proteggere la frutta e la verdura
(si conserva meglio) e per poterla servire.

Controporta

La controporta è dotata dei balconcini o vaschette che servono
alla conservazione del formaggio, burro, uova, iogurt o altri
picoli pacchetti, tubetti, conserve ecc.
Il posto pe le bottiglie si trova nella parte inferiore della
controporta.

Illuminazione interna

Aprendo la porta del frigorifero la lampada si accende e rimane
accesa irrispetto alla posizione della manopola termostato.

Regolazione

La manopola, posizionata nella parte destra in alto
dell'apparecchio serve alla regolazione della temperatura
(girandola dalla posizione STOP (0) alla 7 e vice versa).

Scelta temperatura

 Le posizioni pià alte della manopola (verso 7) significano le

temperature pià basse (pià freddo) in tutte le parti
dell'apparecchio. La temperatura nell'interno del frigorifero
può scendere anche sotto 0°C. Impostare le posizioni pià
alte soltanto nei casi che si vuole ed è raccomandata la
temperatura di raffreddamento pià bassa.
Per la temperatura d'ambiente normale si raccomanda
impostare la posizione media della manopola.

 Il cambio della temperatura d'ambiente influisce alla

temperatura nell'apparecchio. Regolare conformemente la
manopola termostato.

Uso

Conservazione cibi in frigorifero

La qualità della conservazione dei cibi dipende dall’uso corretto
dell’apparecchio, dall’imballaggio idoneo dei cibi, dal
mantenimento della temperatura adeguata e dalla
considerazione dell’igiene dei cibi.
 I cibi conservati in frigorifero devono essere raffreddati alla

temperatura ambiente e bene imballati mantenendo cosi il
sapore e l'umidità inalterate (imballati nei sacchetti di
polietilene, in fogli di alluminio, carta cerata ecc. o negli
appositi contenitori con coperchio o nelle bottiglie).

 Alla posizione STOP (0) l'apparecchio non funziona (il

sistema refrigerante inoperativo), tuttavia sotto la tensione
(aprendo la porta del frigorifero la lampada si accende).

 La temperatura nel frigorifero dipende anche dalla frequenza

d'apertura porta.

 Rimuovere la confezione prima di mettere i cibi nel frigorifero

(per es. la confezione dei yogurt).

 Non conservare le sostanze infiammabili o esplosive.
 Le bottiglie ad alto contenuto d'alcol devono essere chiuse

bene e stare nella posizione verticale.

 I cibi non devono stare in contatto con la parete posteriore

del frigorifero.

 Raffreddare il più possibile i cibi prima di conservarli.
 Conservare i cibi fragili e delicati nei luoghi più freddi

dell’apparecchio.

 Si raccomanda di limitare la frequenza d’apertura della

porta.

 Impostare il termostato alla posizione per ottenimento delle

)

temperature più basse. Eseguire l’impostazione
gradualmente ma in modo tale di impedire la congelazione
dei cibi. Misurare la temperatura di ogni singolo scomparto
con il termometro immerso nel contenitore di vetro riempito
di acqua. La lettura della temperatura è affidabile dopo
alcune ore di riposo.

 Alcuni solventi organici ed anche gli oli eterici contenuti nella

scorza di limoni o aranci e acido buttirico provocano i guasti
e l'invecchiamento del materiale plastico e delle guarnizioni.

 Un cattivo odore significa la putrefazione dei cibi.

Per eliminare questi odori è consigliabile il lavaggio con
l'acqua con l'aggiunta dell'aceto.
E' consigliabile anche l'uso dei filtri a carbone dolce per la
purificazione e la neutralizzazione degli odori sgradevoli.

 In assenza di alcuni giorni si raccomanda prendere dal

frigorifero i cibi che si guastano in breve tempo.

Manutenzione e pulizia

Sbrinamento automatico del frigorifero

Il frigorifero non deve essere sbrinato perché il ghiaccio si
scioglie automaticamente sulla parete posteriore. Il ghiaccio,
formattosi durante il funzionamento del compressore, si
scioglie quando il compressore non funziona e sotto forma di
gocce scende sulla parete posteriore fino alla vaschetta per la
condensa, che si trova dietro la mascherina dell'apparecchio.

Pulizia dell'apparecchio

Prima di procedere alla pulizia staccare la spina dalla rete
elettrica. Non usare degli abrasivi per non danneggiare la

superficie.
Durante la pulizia fare l’attenzione di eliminare tutte le tracce
dei detersivi!
 Pulire l'esterno dell'apparecchio con l'acqua e detergente

liquido.
Le superfici laccate pulire con un strofinaccio morbido e con
un detersivo a base d’alcol (per esempio il detersivo per la
pulizia dei vetri). Potete usare anche puro alcol (alcool
etilico).

 Non usare i prodotti abrasivi o aggresivi (come detersivi per

l'acciaio inox) per la pulizia di parti laccate e di plastica.

 Rimuovere gli accessori estraibili dell'interno e pulirgli con

l'acqua e detergente liquido. Non lavare le parti plastiche
nella lavastoviglie.

 Pulire l'interno con l'acqua tiepida alla quale viene aggiunto

un po d'aceto.

 Aspirare periodicamente le aperture per la circolazione d'aria

nella mascherina.

Pulizia del condensatore

La polvere sul condensatore deve essere aspirata come
segue:

 Inserire le dita nelle aperture della mascherina e

staccarla dalla sede,

 Tirare la mascherina e toglierla,
 Togliere lo zoccolo del mobile,
 Estrarre la vaschetta per la condensa,
 Aspirare il condensatore con un'aspirapolvere,
 Ripetere i passi sopra descritti in senso contrario.

A pulizia ultimata ricollegare l'apparecchio alla rete elettrica,
rimettetelo in funzionamento e riporre i cibi nell'apparecchio.

Pulizia periodica del condensatore

Per un funzionamento ottimale dell’apparecchio e un
consumo minore di energia elettrica si consiglia una
pulizia periodica del condensatore dalla polvere anche
nella parte posteriore dell’apparecchio.

Prima di effettuare la pulizia dell’apparecchio, togliere la spina
dalla rete d’alimentazione elettrica!

 Svuotare l’interno dell’apparecchio.
 Togliere la mascherina dell’apparecchio.
 Svitare le viti che fissano l’apparecchio alla superficie di

lavoro del mobile.

 Estrarre l’apparecchio fino al punto dove è possibile

eseguire la pulizia delle parti posteriori del condensatore.

 Svitare le viti del coperchio del condensatore e toglierlo.
 Pulire la polvere e la sporcizia dal condensatore.

Dopo la pulizia effettuata, inserire la spina nella rete
d’alimentazione e rimettere gli alimenti all’interno
dell’apparecchio.

Eliminazione difetti

Disinserimento dell'apparechio

Qualora il frigorifero dovesse rimanere fuori uso per lungo
tempo posizionare la manopola del termostato a STOP (0).
L'apparecchio deve essere disinserito dall'alimentazione
elettrica, vuotato, sbrinato e pulito. Lasciare la porta socchiusa.

Durante il funzionamento regolare dell'apparecchio si possono
verificare l'irregolarita del funzionamento. Qui di seguito sono
indicati alcuni difetti causati per lo pià da un impiego errato che
si possono eliminare facilmente.

L'apparecchio non funziona benchè collegato alla rete
elettrica

 Controllare se la presa di corrente sia sotto tensione e che

l'apparecchio sia inserito (manopola termostato alla
posizione di funzionamento).

Il sistema refrigerante funziona in modo continuo per un
periodo pià lungo

 L'apertura porta troppo frequente o porta aperta per un

periodo troppo lungo.

 La porta chiusa in modo irregolare (un ostacolo, porta

abbassata, guarnizione danneggiata, ...).

 Caricata una quantità troppo grande dei cibi freschi.
 Il raffreddamento del compresore e del condensatore non è

sufficente.

Verificare la circolazione d'aria attraverso le aperture della
mascherina e pulire/aspirare la polvere dal condensatore. Vedi
capitolo “Manutenzione e pulizia”.

Accumulazione del ghiaccio sulla piastra refrigerante del
frigorifero

Il normale funzionamento del frigorifero è assicurato, fino a
quando l'acqua scende attraverso l'apertura nell'apposita
vaschetta per la condensa.
Nel caso che si forma uno strato eccessivo del ghiaccio sulla
piastra refrigerante (3-5 mm) sbrinare il frigorifero in modo
manuale. Ruotare la manopola termostato alla posizione STOP
(0) e lasciare aperta la porta del frigorifero. Non sbirinare il
ghiaccio con gli apparecchi elettrici (asciugacapelli o simili) e
non rimuoverlo con oggetti taglienti.
A sbrinamento ultimato ruotare la manopola alla posizione
voluta e chiudere la porta del frigorifero.
La formazione eccessiva del ghiaccio è la conseguenza:

 della tenuta cattiva della porta (pulire o cambiare la

guarnizione sporca o danneggiata).

 della apertura troppo frequente della porta o porta aperta

troppo lungo,

 d'introduzione dei cibi caldi nel frigorifero.
 I cibi o il contenitore in contatto con la parete posteriore

nell'interno del frigorifero.

Segnale acustico

Ad ogni apertura della porta dell'apparecchio, un segnale
acustico vi avvertirà della polvere formattasi sul condensatore,
fino quando non sarà eliminata.

Verificare la circolazione d'aria attraverso le aperture della
mascherina e pulire/aspirare la polvere dal condensatore. Vedi
capitolo “Manutenzione e pulizia”.

L'acqua scende nel fondo del frigorifero

L'acqua può accumularsi sul fondo del frigorifero, se l'apertura
per la vascheta della condensa è otturata o se le gocce
scendono fuori dal canale per la raccolta dell'acqua.
 Pulire il foro otturato con una cannuccia, per esempio. (vedi

il capitolo Accumulazione del ghiaccio sulla piastra
refrigerante del frigorifero).

Rumore

Il raffreddamento negli apparecchi frigoriferi e congelatori
avviene tramite il sistema refrigerante e compressore e ciò
provoca la generazione di un certo rumore. Il livello del rumore
dipende dalla posizione, dall'impiego regolare e dal tempo
d'utilizzo dell'apparecchio.
 Al funzionamento del compressore può essere sentito il

rumore del liquido e durante il riposo il flusso del
refrigerante. Questi suoni sono normali e non influiscono alla
vita dell'apparecchio.

 Alla messa in funzione il funzionamento del compressore o

il flusso del refrigerante può essere pià forte, tuttavia non
significa il difetto e non influisce alla vita dell'apparecchio. Il
rumore diminuisce col tempo e funzionamento
dell'apparecchio.

 Talvolta si verifica il rumore straordinario o pià forte nel

funzionamento dell'apparecchio che è generalmente la
conseguenza del posizionamento inopportuno.

 L'apparecchio deve essere posizionato su un

fondamento stabile e orizzontale.

 Non deve essere posizionato in contatto con il muro o

mobili di cucina.

 Controllare il posizionamento regolare degli accessori

dell'interno del frigorifero. Le bottiglie, i flaconi o altri
recipienti contigui possono provocare un acciottolio.

Cambio lampadina d'illuminazione interna

Prima di procedere al cambio della lampadina togliere la spina
dalla presa.
Comprimere con le dita il coperchio (nella direzione della
freccia 1), per farlo scattar fuori dalla sua posizione. Rimuovere
poi il coperchio (nella direzione della freccia 2) e sostituire la
lampadina difettosa con una nuova (E14, max. 15 W).
Non gettare la lampadina tra i rifiuti organici.

La lampadina è il materiale di consumo per il quale non
diamo la garanzia.

Le lampadine utilizzate in questo apparecchio sono lampade
speciali esclusivamente progettate per l'uso negli
elettrodomestici. Queste lampadine non sono adatte per
l'illuminazione di ambienti della casa.

Before putting into use

 Before connecting the appliance to the power mains, leave it

stand for about 2 hours. This will reduce the probability of
malfunctions in the cooling system due to transport and
handling.

 Clean the appliance thoroughly, especially the interior (see

Cleaning and Maintenance).

 If the interior accessories are not correctly placed, rearrange

them as described in the chapter Description of the
Appliance.

the environment with it; call your nearest authorized service
agent (see Disposing of the worn out appliance).

Energy savings tips

 Do not open the door too often, especially when the weather

is wet and hot. Once you open the door, close it as soon as
possible. This is especially important if you have an upright
model.

 Check periodically if adequate ventilation is allowed

(undisturbed circulation of air through the bottom rail
openings).

 Turn the thermostat knob from higher to lower setting as

soon as possible (depending on how loaded the appliance
is, ambient temperature etc.).

 Before putting fresh food into the appliance, let the food cool

down to room temperature.

 A layer of ice and frost will increase energy consumption.

Therefore, clean the appliance as soon as the layer is 3-5
mm thick.

 If the gasket is damaged or if it does not provide a tight seal,

the energy consumption will be substantially higher. To
restore efficiency, replace the gasket.

 Condenser at the bottom of the appliance must always be

clean and free of dust (see section Cleaning of the
Appliance).

 Always comply with the instructions in sections Positioning

and Energy Saving Tips; otherwise the energy consumption
may be substantially higher.

Instructions for Use

Important

 This appliance is manufactured in compliance with relevant

safety standards. However, it is still advisable it is not used
without due supervision by persons with diminished physical,
motoric, or mental capabilities or persons with inadequate
experience or knowledge. The same recommendation
applies to minors using the appliance.

 If you bought this appliance to replace an old one that was

equipped with a lock that cannot be opened from inside of
the appliance (lock, bolt), make sure that the lock is broken.
This will make it impossible for children to lock themselves
inside the refrigerator and suffocate.

 The appliance must be correctly connected to the power

mains (see: Connecting to the Power Mains).

 If the food has strange smell or colour, throw it away,

because it is very likely that it is spoiled and therefore
dangerous to eat.

 Disconnect the appliance from the power supply before

repairing it (only a qualified technician should repair it),
before cleaning and before replacing the light bulb.

 Do not defrost the appliance with other electric appliances

(as for example with hair dryer) and never scrape the frost
layer with sharp objects. Use only enclosed tools or tools
recommended by the manufacturer.

 To protect the environment, be careful not to damage the

rear wall of the appliance (the condenser unit or the tubes,
for example when moving the appliance) or any part of the
refrigeration system inside the appliance.

 The refrigeration system of the appliance is filled with

refrigerant and oil. When the appliance is damaged, handle
it with care and dispose it of in compliance with environment­protection regulations (see We Care for the Environment).

 If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the

manufacturer, a service agent or other qualified person in
order to avoid hazard.

 The rating plate is located inside the appliance or outside on

the rear wall.

 Warning! Ventilation slots on the appliance or a built-in

element must always be clean and unobstructed.

 Warning! Do not use mechanical devices or tools to defrost

the refrigerator, nor any other methods except for those
recommended by the manufacturer.

 Warning! When installing, cleaning, or removing the

appliance, make sure the insulation on the refrigeration
system parts is not damaged. Thus you will also prevent
damage to the environment.

 Warning! Do not use electric appliances in the refrigerator

or freezer interior, except for those expressly allowed by the
refrigerator-freezer manufacturer.

 After the installation, the appliance mains plug should be

accessible!

The symbol on the product or on its packaging
indicates that this product may not be treated as
household waste. Instead it shall be handed over

to the applicable collection point for the recycling
of electrical and electronic equipment. By ensuring this
product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent
potential negative consequences for the environment and
human health, which could otherwise be caused by
inappropriate waste handling of thisproduct. For more
detailed information about recycling of this product,
please contact your local city office, your household waste
disposal service or the shop where you purchased the
product.

Disposing of the worn out appliance

 When your appliance finally wears out, dispose of it. If the

appliance has a lock, break it to prevent any accidents
(danger of children getting locked inside the appliance).

 The refrigeration system of the appliance is filled with

refrigerant and insulating substances which should be
treated and processed separately. Call your nearest
authorized service agent or specialized servicing centre. If
you cannot find one, contact your local authorities or your
distributor. Be careful not to damage the tubes on the rear
wall of the appliance (danger of pollution).

 To avoid pollution of the environment make sure not to

damage the hose at the bottom of the appliance.

Placing and installation

Choosing the right place

Place the appliance in a dry and regularly ventilated room.
Allowed ambient temperature depends on the model (class) of
the appliance and it is stated on the rating plate of the
appliance.
Never place the appliance near heat emitting devices (e.g.
cooker, radiator, water heater or similar devices) and do not
expose it to direct sunlight.
The appliance should be positioned at least 3 cm away from
the electric or gas cooker and at least 30 cm away from the oil
or coal stove. If this is not possible, use appropriate insulation.

Class Ambient temparature

SN (subnormal) from + 10°C to + 32°C
N (normal) from + 16°C to + 32°C
ST (sub-tropical) from + 16°C to + 38°C
T (tropical) from + 16°C to + 43°C

Connection to power supply

Use the cable and plug to connect the appliance to the power
supply socket with a ground terminal (safety socket).
Required nominal voltage and frequency are indicated on the
rating plate.
The connections to the mains supply and earthing have to be
made according to currently relevant standards and
regulations. The appliance resists temporary voltage
fluctuations of up to +/- 6%.

Adjusting the height of the appliance

The appliance is equipped with four adjustable legs which allow
adjusting the height from 82 to 90 cm. The height must be
adjusted prior to building the appliance into the opening slot,
and it should be set at such height that the top panel of the
appliance fits exactly below the kitchen worktop (see Mounting
Instructions).

Shelf (1)

The shelf may be placed randomly on any of the guide slots in
the interior of the appliance. It is protected against sliding out.

The shelf is placed on the top 4 guides by lowering the front
edge of the shelf downwards, placing the rear of the shelf onto
the guide slot and inserting the shelf in the guide in the inclined
position.

The shelf is placed on the lower 3 guides by lifting the front part
of the shelf upwards, placing the rear of the shelf onto the
guide slot and inserting the shelf in the guide in the inclined
position.
In case you wish to remove the shelf from the appliance lift the
shelf by hand at the rear and pull it out by following the
opposite procedure.
Glass shelves are protected with plastic edge frames.
Quickly perishable food should be stored closer to the back
wall, i.e. in the coldest part of the shelves.

Defrosting water outlet (2)

The interior of the refrigerator is cooled with a cooling plate
incorporated in the rear wall. Under the plate there are a
channel and an outlet for defrosting water.
Regularly check the defrosting water outlet and the channel
because they should never be clogged (as for example with
food residues). If clogged, use a plastic straw to clean it.

Crisp tray and serving tray (3)

The tray at the bottom of the refrigerator is covered with the
serving tray. This cover protects the stored fruit and vegetables
from excessive drying.

Door liner

The door liner consists of various shelves or holders used for
storing eggs, cheese, butter and yogurt as well as other
smaller packages, tubes, cans etc.
The lower shelf is used for storing bottles.

Illumination in the interior of the refrigerator

The light for illuminating the interior of the appliance is
switched on when the door is opened. Operation of the light
does not depend on the position of the thermostat knob.

Operation control

Appliance operation is controlled with the thermostat knob
located in the upper right part inside the appliance.
Turn the knob from the STOP (0) position towards 7 and
backwards.

Temperature selection

 Higher settings on the knob (towards 7) mean lower

temperatures (colder) in all three compartments of the
appliance. Temperature in the interior of the appliance may
even drop below 0°C. Higher settings should only be used
when higher temperature is recommended or required.

 When the ambient temperature is normal, we recommend a

medium setting.

 Changes of the ambient temperature affect the temperature

in the interior of the appliance (choose the correct setting of
the thermostat knob).

Use

Storing fresh food

Proper use of the appliance, adequately packed food, correct
temperature and hygienic precautions will substantially affect
the quality of the food stored.
 Foods to be stored in the refrigerator should be properly

packed to prevent mixing various moisture degrees and
odours (in polyethylene bags or sheet, aluminium foil, wax
paper, or stored in covered containers or bottles).

 Before storing food in the refrigerator, remove excessive

packaging (like cardboard in yoghurt multi-packs).

 In the STOP (0) position the appliance does not operate (the

cooling system is switched off), yet power supply is not cut
off (the light is on when you open the refrigerator door).

 Temperature in the refrigerator also depends on how often

the door is opened.

 Pack systematically and make sure that the items do not

touch each other (various odours may mix). Allow for
adequate air circulation around packages.

 Never store inflammable, volatile or explosive substances.
 Beverages with high alcohol content should be stored in

tightly sealed bottles in upright position.

 Food should not touch the rear wall of the refrigerator!
 Food should be cooled down before storing.
 Crispy and delicate food should be stored in the coldest

parts of the refrigerator.

 Try not to open the door too often.

Instructions for Use

 Set the thermostat to the lowest temperature setting. Set the

)

thermostat gradually to avoid freezing of the food.
Use a thermometer to measure the temperature in the
individual compartments. Place the thermometer in a glass
vessel filled with water. Temperature readings are most
reliable a few hours after a steady state is reached.

 Some organic solutions like volatile oils in lemon or orange

peel, acid in butter etc. could cause damage; when in
prolonged contact with plastic surfaces or gaskets they can
even cause accelerated ageing of the plastic material.

 Unpleasant odour inside the refrigerator is a sign that

something is wrong with the food or that your refrigerator
needs cleaning. Unpleasant odour can be eliminated or

reduced by washing the interior of the refrigerator with a mild
solution of water and vinegar.

 We also recommend using activated carbon filters to clean

the air or to neutralize the odours.

 If you plan a longer journey, make sure to remove quickly

perishable articles of food from the appliance before you
leave.

Maintenance and cleaning

Automatic defrosting of the refrigerator

The refrigerator requires no defrosting since the ice at the rear
wall melts automatically. Ice formed at the rear during the
operation of the compressor melts when the compressor is off
and water drops slide downwards through the hole in the rear
wall into the condensate receptacle placed at the bottom of the
appliance.

Cleaning the appliance

Disconnect the power supply before cleaning the
appliance.

Do not use coarse or aggressive cleaning agents as you may
damage the surface. Be careful to remove any cleaner agent
remaining after cleaning.

 Clean the exterior with water and detergent.
 Varnished surfaces are cleaned with a soft cloth and an

alcohol-based cleaning agent (for example glass cleaners).
You may also use alcohol (ethanol or isopropyl alcohol).

 The application of abrasive and especially aggressive

cleaners such as stainless steel cleaners is not appropriate
for cleaning of plastic and coated parts.

 Remove the detachable accessories in the interior of the

appliance and clean them with water and liquid detergent.
Plastic parts cannot be washed in washing machine.

 Wash the interior of the appliance with lukewarm water to

which you have added one or two spoonfuls of vinegar.

 The air openings in the bottom rail should be cleaned or

vacuumed periodically.

Cleaning of the condenser

Dust from the condenser should be vacuumed in the
following manner:

 push the finger through the opening in the bottom rail

and release the fastener;

 pull the rail towards you and remove it;
 remove the bottom board of the kitchen cabinet;
 pull the condenser dish out;
 use the vacuum cleaner to clean the dust from the

condenser;

 replace the condenser dish and the bottom rail in the

opposite order.

After cleaning, connect the appliance to power supply and
reload it.

Periodical cleaning of the condenser

In order to optimize the operation of the appliance and save
energy, it is recommended to periodically clean the dust from
the condenser at the back of the appliance.

Disconnect the appliance from the power mains prior to the
commencement of cleaning!

 Empty the contents of the appliance.
 Remove the supporting panel from the bottom of the kitchen

cabinet.

 Remove the screws fixing the appliance to the kitchen

worktop.

 Pull the appliance out to expose the condenser at the back

of the appliance.

 Unscrew the screws from the condenser bonnet and remove

the bonnet.

 Clean the dust and dirt from the condenser.

After cleaning return the appliance to its place, plug in the
power mains cord and fill with food.

Troubleshooting guide

During the service, you can come across some problems that
in most cases result from improper handling of the appliance
and can easy be eliminated.

The appliance fails to operate after connecting to the
mains supply

 Check the supply in the outlet socket and make sure the

appliance is switched on (thermostat knob in operating
position).

Continuous operation of the cooling system

 The door was frequently opened or it was left opened for too

long.

 The door is not properly closed (the door may sag; the

gasket may be polluted or damaged).

 Perhaps you have overloaded the appliance with fresh food.
 Insufficient cooling of compressor and condenser.
 Check the air circulation through the bottom rail openings

and clean or vacuum the dust from the condenser if
necessary. See section Cleaning and maintenance.

Ice Formation on the inner rear wall

As long as water is drained through the hole in the rear and
into the receptacle at the bottom of the appliance, normal
automatic defrosting of the appliance is guaranteed.
If ice formation on the inner back wall is increased (3-5 mm),
ice should be manually defrosted.
Set the thermostat knob to STOP (0) position and leave the
door open. Never use electric devices for defrosting and do not
scrape the ice or frost layer with sharp objects.
After completed defrosting turn the knob to desired position
and close the refrigerator door.
The cause of increased ice formation may be one of the
following:

 the door does not seal well (clean the gasket if it is

contaminated or replace it if it is damaged);

 the door was frequently opened or it was left opened for

too long;

 the food stored in the refrigerator was warm;
 an item is touching the inner back wall.

Sound alarm

Excessive dust on the condenser unit is signalled by a sound
alarm heard whenever appliance door is opened until the
default is removed.
Check the air circulation through the bottom rail openings and
clean or vacuum the dust from the condenser if necessary.
See section Cleaning and maintenance.

Switch off the appliance when not in use

If you do not intend to use the appliance for a longer period, set
the thermostat knob to the STOP (0) position, disconnect the
power supply, take out the food and defrost and clean the
appliance. Leave the door slightly open.

Water drains into the bottom compartment of the
appliance

Water will leak from the refrigerator if the drain hole is clogged
or if the water is dripping past the collection gutter.

 Clean the clogged outlet, for example with a plastic straw.
 Manually defrost the increased ice layer. See Ice formation

on the inner rear wall.

Noise

Cooling in refrigerating-freezing appliances is enabled by the
cooling system with a compressor which produces some noise.
How noisy the appliance is depends on where it is placed, how
it is used and how old the appliance is.
 During the operation of the compressor the noise of liquid

is heard and when the compressor is not operating, the
refrigerant flow is heard. This is a normal condition and it
has no influence whatsoever on the lifetime of the appliance.

 After starting the appliance, the operation of the

compressor and the refrigerant flow may be louder, which
does not mean that something is wrong with the appliance
and which has no effect on the useful life of the appliance.
Gradually the noise is reduced.

 Sometimes unusual and stronger noise is heard, which is

rather unusual for the appliance. This noise is often a
consequence of inadequate placing.

 The appliance shall be placed and levelled firmly on a

solid base.

 It should not touch the wall or kitchen units standing next

to it.

 Check the accessories in the interior of the appliance;

they should be placed correctly in their positions. Also
check the bottles, tins and other vessels that might
touch each other and rattle.

Bulb Replacement

Before replacing the light bulb, disconnect the appliance form
the power supply.
Press the cover at the rear side (in the direction of arrow 1) and
remove the plastic cover (in the direction of arrow 2). Replace
the bulb with a new one (E14, max. 15 W).
Don't forget: the old bulb does not belong in organic waste.

Light bulb is a consumable part that is not covered by our
warranty.

Bulb lamps used in this appliance are special purpose lamps
selected for household appliances use only. They are not
suitable for household room illumination.
