4 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
GENERAL WARNINGS FOR THE INSTALLATION
Carefully read both warnings and indications on safety for thermal disinfection devices where
this cart is used, as well as the warnings indicated by the manufacturer of the instruments or
any other component which is meant to be processed with this cart.
Badly positioned objects or potential breaking of glassware during the wash cycle might affect
the efficiency of the process and cause serious injury.
If needed, the washing performance may be verified through both visual and other kind of
tests, on the basis of the cycle used, the load processed, and the supports used.
FREE SPACE: It is necessary to have a free space of about 1m2 in front of the machine to be able
to correctly work on it.
PROTECTION DEVICES: Use personal protective equipment, if necessary.

6 CART START UP
6.1 CART’S SPRAY ARMS
After inserting the instruments, it is important to make sure that the spray arms are able to
rotate freely. Failing that, a correct washing performance is not guaranteed and the machine
cannot report this fault.
Opposite is a schematic example of how a
surgical instrument can block the correct
rotation of the spray arm and, consequently,
reduce the washing performance of all
instruments.
The figure opposite shows that the
instruments, if correctly positioned in the
basket, do not interfere with the spray arm.
Every time the cart is loaded, it is necessary to manually test the spray arms to check that ALL are able to rotate freely
(see photo below).

6.2 CART’S WATER SUPPLY
For the correct use of the CSK6B, another important step is to check the perfect contact between the
nozzle supply trolley and that of the machine. If necessary, adjust the height by screwing / unscrewing
ONLY the nozzle trolley.
In the next picture you can see how to raise the nozzle trolley.

6.3 DRYING OF THE INSTRUMENTS
Some models of thermal disinfection devices are equipped with a drying system, which can be distinguished by
the central hole placed inside, on the back of the tank (see photo).
It is extremely important that the air inlet is neither fully nor partially obstructed by any instruments at the
moment of loading. This may result in an improper drying of the instruments.
7 PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
For a correct washing performance, particular attention should be paid to the following aspects:
An efficient washing performance is given by the correct loading of the baskets, inserts, supports etc. Jointed
instruments must be positioned open.
Baskets must not be overloaded, in order to allow a proper rinsing of the instruments.
Large instruments must be placed in the baskets so that “grey areas” are avoided and the cleaning of other
instruments is not impeded.
Instruments must be placed and arranged taking into account their mechanical sensitivity so as to prevent
any damage.
CSK6B is a cart designed to clean surgical instruments through thermal disinfection; it is therefore necessary to make
sure that the instruments inserted in the machine are suitable for the thermal disinfection treatment.

8 TROUBLE SHOOTING
In the case of poor quality wash performance:
1. Verify the cleanliness of the nozzles / sprayers – according to the described procedure.
2. Check the instructions for the correct procedure, as supplied by the manufacturer of the instruments.
3. Verify that the correct cycle has been selected.
4. Verify the functioning of the machine, check the manual.
5. Check the quantity and quality of the available detergent.
