Product Overview

The SMC7901BRA5 is a highly-integrated residential broadband access device, which provides one ADSL2+ RJ-11 port and one built-in Ethernet port. The SMC7901BRA5 is fully compliant with ADSL/2/2+ and the Ethernet standards IEEE 802.3/802.3u. It provides high-performance access to the Internet, with downstream speeds up to 24 Mbps and upstream up to 2 Mbps. The SMC7901BRA5 can support high-performance applications for individual users, SOHOs, and small enterprises.

Instant, always-on Internet connectivity for wired computers. The built-in ADSL2/2+ modem gives unrivaled asymmetric high-speed data transport at up to 24 Mbps downstream.

SPI Firewall Protection from Hackers

The NAT firewall with Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI), Intrusion Detection System, and Denial-of-Service protection provides robust security from hackers, while VPN pass-through allows secure connectivity to your office or corporate network. Access Control Lists with URL blocking allows you to control access to Internet services and filter inappropriate web sites.

QoS

The SMC7901BRA5 includes a built-in QoS engine, which allows network administrators to allocate network resources and to prioritize real-time applications such as voice and video. This enables the SMC7901BRA5 to provide smooth Internet phone (VoIP) calls and lag-free online gaming.
