2-Port ADSL Bridge Router
As y m m e t ri cal Digital Su b s c ri ber Li n e (ADSL) broadband WAN technology is ideal for residential or SOHO environments. Data and voice transmissions can be made simultaneously. Data is transmitted at 8 Mbps over distances up to 18,000 feet (more than 3 miles.)
The new SMC7003ADSL dual-po rt bridge router brings instant voice, data, and video access to your desktop up to 150 times faster than a 56k modem. This router provides unsurpassed asymm e t ric high-speed data tra n s m i s s i o n over a single copper pair, linking business and home offices and individual s u b s c ri bers to their netwo rk serv i ce providers.

This SMC7003ADSL is a full router and b ridge that scales as the netwo rk ex p a n d s. The flex i b i l i ty deri ved fro m Ethernet and USB ports enables simultaneous sharing of the ADSL line and l ocal re s o u rce s. This flex i b i l i ty allows multiple PCs to share office resources, access the Internet simultaneously, and keep network users connected at all times. The SMC7003ADSL also functions as a home gateway which enables simultaneous Internet access for up to 253 users with one IP addre s s. Th e m odem also suppo rts both full-rate DMT connection (with 8 Mbps downstream and 640 Kbps upstream), and the more economical G.lite connection (with 1.5 Mbps downstream and 512 Kbps upstream).

Incorporated firewall technology prote cts inte rnal netwo rks from outside i nt ruders and hacke r s. Pl u g - a n d - p l ay installation allows instant connection. Remote management capabilities and firmware upgrades provide increased co nve n i e n ce and pro te ction of yo u r investment as your networking needs evolve.
With this new ADSL bridge ro u te r, investments are protected through the support of popular xDSL connection models, including PPP over Ethernet, PPP over ATM,bridging and routing.
