of the most important components of the Ruby
family is the Ruby Touchscreen.

The Ruby Touchscreen is the central device that
controls the entire Ruby SMA platform. This device
enhances the Ruby SMA family and enables you to
offer superior Security, Monitoring, and Automation
services.

Ruby Touchscreen

SMCRB5701-Z Ruby Touchscreen
is the central device that controls the
entire Ruby SMA platform.

The Ruby Touchscreen is focused
on creating a 4th screen interface in
the home to provide Home Security,
Monitoring, Automation, Energy
Management, Home Healthcare,
and possibly other future
applications.

The Ruby TouchScreen includes
Ethernet, Wi-Fi (802.11g), and GSM/
GPRS communication Channels by
default. It also has room for up to
two (2) add-in modules that can
augment the base functionality with
additional communication channels
or connections to other external
systems.

Modules will include Zigbee, and
Bosch radios, a legacy alarm
system takeover module, and may
include Z-Wave, DECT (base or
client radios), or other modules in
the future.

The Ruby Touchscreen will allow
Broadband Service Providers to
offer value-added SMA services
through a stylish and consumer­friendly central device.
