BENEFITS
OVERVIEW
Gigabit Ethernet is 10 times faster than Fast Ethernet.
Provides 2Gbps full duplex network performance and is capable of
automatically detecting the connection speed and auto-negotiating
to the highest possible performance.
Supports remote powering on of the PC
Eliminates CPU bottleneck by offloading a time consuming task.
Boosts bulk data transfers, resulting in more efficient bus transfer
and reduction of server load by increasing the server’s usable bandwidth.
Supports VLANS for increased network performance, improved manageability, and increased security.
Optional bootrom support
Built-in FIFO buffers reduces overhead of memory transfers.
Achieves the most efficient power management possible
Power management for modern operating systems that are capable
of Operating System directed Power Management (OSPM) to achieve
the most efficient power management possible
