The Smart Sense™ Motion sensor lets yo u

know when mov ement is detected in a

certain ar ea and can trigger dif ferent

actions in resp onse to that movement (or

lack of movement).

Installation Tips

SmartSe nse Motion works best if i t’s within 15
feet (4.5 meters) of the Sm artThings Hub whe n
you connect it.

Hold the Conn ect button for six sec onds or
until the LED lig ht turns off. Tap ‘+’ in the
SmartThin gs mobile app, and then p ress the
Connect but ton (shown below) once.

any water or liqui d.

• Clean only w ith a dry cloth.

• Do not instal l near any heat

period of ONE (1) YE AR from the date of p urchase by
the origina l purchaser (“War ranty Period” ). If a defect
arises and a va lid claim is receiv ed within the Warr anty
Period, then a s your sole remed y (and SmartThin gs’
sole liabili ty), SmartThin gs will at its option e ither 1)
repair the def ect at no charge, usi ng new or
refurbishe d replacement pa rts, or 2) replace t he
Product wit h a new product that i s functionally
equivalen t to the original, in ea ch case within 30 d ays
following re ceipt of the return ed Product. A
replaceme nt product or par t, assumes the rem aining
warranty of t he original Prod uct. When a Produc t or
part is excha nged, any replac ement item becom es
your proper ty and the repla ced Product or pa rt
becomes SmartThings’ property.
