OPERATING CAUTIONS AND WARNINGS

• Prolonged overination may cause congestion, swelling or bruising
in some people

• If you experience any discomfort or an abnormality occurs, stop
using the device immediately; to stop the device during
operation, press the START/STOP button and the cuff will
automatically deate

• Operation outside of stated operating temperature may result in
measurement error or device malfunction; operation environment
temperature is: 50°F – 104°F (10°C – 40°C); Humidity: 90% RH
max

• Never use this unit while operating a vehicle or in the bathtub or
shower

• Storage outside of stated storage temperature may result in

It is recommended that you rst seek the advice and recommendation of
your physician or healthcare professional when using home diagnostic
devices, including blood pressure monitors.

Automatic digital blood pressure monitors use the oscillometric method
to electronically measure your blood pressure. The monitor detects your
blood’s movement through the artery in your arm and converts the
movements into a digital reading. The oscillometric method does not
require a stethoscope, making the monitor ideal for home use.

Blood pressure readings determined with this device are equivalent to
measurements obtained by a trained healthcare professional using the
cuff/stethoscope auscultation method, within the limits prescribed by the
American National Standard for Electronic or Automated
Sphygmomanometers.

Before Taking a Measurement

1. Your readings should only be interpreted by your physician or
healthcare professional with access to your individual medical
history. Regular use of a home blood pressure monitor will allow
you to track and record your readings for discussion with your
physician.

2. Conduct your measurement in a quiet place while seated in a
relaxed position. Rest for 15 minutes before taking your reading. If
an error occurs or you desire to take a second reading, allow 15
minutes between readings for your blood vessels to return to normal.

3. Avoid smoking, eating, taking medication, alcohol, physical activity
or any other stressful activity for 30 minutes prior to taking a
reading.

4. Always remove any jewelry or constrictive clothing that may
interfere with the cuff placement.

5. Keep yourself and the monitor still during measuring; do not talk
during the reading.

6. It is recommended that you take your readings as the same time
each day to better monitor any indications in your results.

7. Record your daily measurement on the included chart or some other
written document to share with your physician.

This unit comes complete with 2 AAA batteries.

It is necessary to replace the batteries when the Low Battery symbol
appears on the display, Fig 1, or when the display does not turn on
after the START/STOP button is pressed.

The battery compartment is
located on the underside of this
monitor.

1. Slide the battery cover off of
the unit.

2. Insert or replace 2 AAA
batteries into the battery
compartment,
ensuring to match
the indicated
polarity symbols, Fig

2. Always use new
batteries.

3. Replace the battery
cover.

4. Dispose of batteries
according to local
disposal and
recycling
regulations.

It is recommended to
remove the batteries if
the unit will not be used
for an extended period
of time.

SETTING DATE/TIME

The date/time feature is on the bottom left of the
display screen, Fig 1. The display will remain in
the ‘time’ mode except during memory review,
when the display will alternate between time and
date to display when the measurement was taken.

1. When the batteries are rst installed, the year
will begin to ash.

2. Press the MEM button to advance the year
until the desired number appears. To scroll
through the numbers quicker, hold down the
MEM button as the numbers advance.

3. Press the SET button to conrm the year
entry.

4. Next, the month will blink. Repeat steps
2 and 3 to set the month, date, hours
and minutes.

5. After setting the minutes, the unit will
automatically exit out of the date/time
setting mode and is ready to take a
measurement.

If at any time you wish to reset the
date/time information, press and hold the
SET button for approximately 3-4 seconds until the
year begins ashing, then repeat steps 2 thru 5.

IT IS NECESSARY TO SET THE DATE AND TIME FOR THE UNIT
EVERY TIME BATTERIES ARE INITIALLY INSTALLED OR REPLACED.

IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO SET THE DATE AND TIME, YOU MAY
PRESS THE START/STOP BUTTON TO FORWARD THROUGH THE
TIME AND DATE FEATURE WITHOUT
SETTING A PREFERENCE.

APPLYING CUFF

Before applying your blood pressure cuff, be
sure your wrist is within the appropriate cuff
range: Wrist Circumference Range Suitable for
5-1/2” – 7-5/8” (14 – 19.5 cm)

Reminder, it is important to avoid smoking,
eating, taking medication, alcohol consumption
or physical activity 30 minutes prior to taking a
reading.

If for any reason you are unable to or should not use your left wrist,
please modify the instructions for cuff application to your right wrist.
Your physician can help you identify which wrist
is best for you to take measurements from.

1. Remove any constrictive clothing or jewelry
that may interfere with cuff placement.

2. Be seated at a table or desk with your feet
at on the oor.

3. Hold your left arm in front of you with your
palm facing upward.

4. Apply the preformed cuff to your left wrist so
that the digital display face is positioned on
the inside area of your wrist facing you, Fig.

1.

5. Adjust the cuff 1/4” - 1/2” from the edge of
the head of the ulna bone, Fig. 2.

6. The cuff should t comfortably, yet snugly
around your wrist.

PROPER CUFF FIT AND PLACEMENT IS CRITICAL IN
OBTAINING ACCURATE BLOOD PRESSURE MEASUREMENTS.
PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND
CONSIDER CONSULTING WITH YOUR PHYSICIAN FOR
FURTHER DIRECTION.

TAKING BLOOD PRESSURE READING

Please read the preceding portions of this
manual prior to taking your rst reading.

Reminder, it is important to avoid smoking,
eating, taking medication, alcohol
consumption or physical activity 30 minutes
prior to taking a reading.

1. Rest your elbow on a solid surface with your
palm facing upward. Elevate your arm so
that the cuff is at the same level as your
heart, Fig 1. Be certain that cuff is elevated
to the proper level; you may choose to
support your hand with a folded towel or
book. Relax your left hand.

4. Press the START/STOP button to turn the unit
on; the unit will briey ash a self-test, Fig 2.

5. The display will briey show a ashing ‘0’
before the measurement begins.

6. The cuff will automatically inate to approximately
180mmHg; you will see the numbers go up
on the display screen.

7. When the ination has reached optimum
level, the display will begin to show the
decreasing pressure while you feel the
pressure of the cuff decrease.

8. When the measurement is complete, your
blood pressure measurement and pulse will
display simultaneously on the screen, Fig 3.

9. The Hypertension Indicator will indicate your

reading range in the left side of the
display, Fig 4. See page 15 for a
chart interpreting the Hypertension
Indicator results.

10. If an irregular heartbeat was detected
during the reading, the Irregular
Heartbeat Detector indicator will
appear on the display, Fig 5. See
page 14 for more information on the
Irregular Heartbeat Detector feature.

11.The reading will automatically be
stored in memory, up to 60 readings.

12. Select START/STOP to turn the unit off and
conserve energy and battery life. The unit
will automatically shut-off.

YOU CAN STOP THE INFLATION OR DEFLATION PROCESS
AT ANY TIME BY PRESSING THE START/POWER BUTTON;
PRESSING THE START/ POWER BUTTON WILL
AUTOMATICALLY DEFLATE THE CUFF.

Irregular Heartbeat Detector

An irregular heartbeat is dened as a heartbeat rhythm that is more than
25% slower or 25% faster than the average measurement detected while
the monitor is conducting the measurement. When this device detects an
irregular rhythm two or more times during the reading, the IHB symbol
will appear on the display screen.

This monitor will operate if the icon appears, but the results may be
compromised, especially if this symbol appears often. Please consult with
your physician or trained healthcare professional for further information
regarding an irregular heartbeat and if this symbol appears frequently.

Hypertension Indicator - WHO Classifications

This chart can help you identify where your blood pressure
measurements fall according to WHO classication standards. This
chart should only be considered as a guideline; always consult with
your physician to interpret your individual results. Never adjust your
medication(s) dosage, or severely alter your diet or exercise routine
without consulting with your physician.

MEMORY FUNCTIONS

Recalling Measurements in Memory

This monitor stores and recalls up to 60 measurements,
plus an average of the last three measurements in memory.
These measurements can be shared with your physician or
trained healthcare professional.

1. When the monitor is off, press and release
the MEM button. The average blood
pressure and pulse measurement of the most
recent three readings will show with the M
and AVG icons on the screen, Fig 1.

2. Press the MEM button again to begin
scrolling through all of the measurements
from most current to oldest.

Each measurement will indicate the date and
time taken, the measurement and pulse
reading, Hypertension Indicator results and
Irregular Heartbeat if present, Fig 2.

NOTE: On the lower left of the display, the
date/time will alternate showing what time
and date the measurement was taken.

3. After you’ve scrolled through all the
readings, the display will cycle back to the
rst reading in memory. Press START/STOP
to turn the unit off.

When the number of readings exceeds 60, the
oldest data will be replaced with the new
record.

MEMORY FUNCTIONS

Clearing Measurements from
Memory

1. Press and release the MEM button to access
the memory bank feature. Then, press and
hold the MEM button 4–6 seconds until the
display shows ‘dEL’ for delete, Fig 1.

2. While the display shows ‘dEL’, press and
release the MEM button. The display will
show ‘dEL no’, Fig 2.

3. Press and release the MEM again, and the
display will show ‘dEL YES’, Fig 3.

4. While the display shows ‘dEL YES’, p ress the
START/STOP button to delete all of the
readings in the device memory.

The unit will automatically turn off after the
memory is cleared.

NOTE: You must press the START/STOP button to
erase the readings in memory. If you do not
press the button, the unit will turn itself off and
the memory will not be cleared.

Proper care and maintenance of your blood pressure monitor will help
ensure long life for the product; improper use of the monitor may void
the included warranty.

• Do not use any liquids on the monitor; use a soft, dry cloth to clean
the monitor as needed

• Storage outside of stated storage temperature may result in
measurement error or device malfunction; storage environment
temperature is: -4°F – 131°F (-20°C – 55°C); Humidity: 95%

• Always keep the unit unplugged while not in use; remove the
batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period of time

• Do not attempt to disassemble your monitor; disassembling your
monitor may void the manufacturers warranty

• Do not subject the monitor to strong shocks; take care not to drop
the monitor

Cuff Care and Maintenance

• Do not attempt to remove the cuff from the monitor housing for any
reason

• The cuff should not be submerged or washed in a washing machine,
but may be spot cleaned with a mild-detergent as needed

• Never attempt to iron or dry the cuff; if the cuff becomes wet, allow
the cuff to air dry completely before use or storage

Congratulations on your purchase of a Digital Blood Pressure Monitor. Your Digital Blood Pressure Monitor is
covered by the following limited warranty commencing upon the date of purchase, and subject to the
following terms and conditions:

The Warrantor warrants that its Digital Blood Pressure Monitor will be free from defects in materials and
workmanship under normal consumer usage for a period of one year for the original purchaser of the product.

Periodic maintenance, repair and replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear are excluded from
coverage. Defects or damage that result from: (a) improper operation, storage, misuse or abuse, accident or
neglect, such as physical damage (cracks, scratches, etc.) to the surface of the product resulting from
misuse; (b) contact with liquid, water, rain, extreme humidity or heavy perspiration, sand, dirt or the like,
extreme heat, or food; (c) use of the Digital Blood Pressure Monitor for commercial purposes or subjecting
the Digital Blood Pressure Monitor to abnormal usage or conditions; or (d) other acts which are not the fault
of the Warrantor, are excluded from coverage. This warranty does not cover batteries or other power sources
that may be provided with, or used with the Digital Blood Pressure Monitor.

If the Digital Blood Pressure Monitor fails to conform to this limited warranty, return the Digital Blood
Pressure Monitor postage prepaid along with $5.00 for return shipping, handling and insurance to: Attn:
Repair Department, 1465 S. Lakeside Drive, Waukegan, IL, 60085. When returning a product, please also
include: (i) a copy of your receipt, bill of sale or other comparable proof of purchase; (ii) a written
description of the problem; and (iii) your name, address and telephone number. Carefully package the
product to avoid any damage that may occur while in transit; shipping insurance with returned receipt is
recommended. At our option, the Warrantor will repair or replace the unit found to be defective in materials
or workmanship under normal consumer usage. The purchaser will be notified of any additional repairs
required prior to completing the repair, and will be responsible for parts charges, if any, and repair charges
not covered by this limited warranty.

EXCEPT AS PROVIDED FOR IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND
CONDITIONS ARE DISCLAIMED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF

INTRODUCCIÓN E INDICACIONES DE USO

SÍRVASE LEER TODA ESTA GUÍA ANTES
DE OPERAR LA UNIDAD.

Se recomienda que usted primero busca el consejo y la recomendación
de su médico o profesional de cuidados médicos cuando utilice
dispositivos de diagnóstico en el hogar, incluidos monitores de presión
arterial.

Los monitores automáticos digitales de presión arterial emplean el
método oscilométrico para medir la presión arterial electrónicamente.
El monitor detecta el movimiento de la sangre por la arteria de su
brazo y convierte dichos movimientos en una lectura digital. El método
oscilométrico no requiere de un estetoscopio; con lo cual, el equipo
resulta ideal para uso doméstico.

Las lecturas de la presión arterial determinadas con este dispositivo son
equivalentes a las mediciones obtenidas por un profesional de
cuidados médicos capacitado mediante el método de auscultación con
brazalete/estetoscopio, dentro de los límites prescritos por la norma
nacional estadounidense para esgmomanómetros electrónicos o
automatizados (American National Standard for Electronic or
automated Sphygmomanometers).

Antes de tomarse la presión

1. Sus lecturas sólo deben ser interpretadas por su médico o
profesional de cuidados médicos con acceso a su historia clínica
individual. El uso periódico de un monitor en el hogar le permitirá
rastrear y registrar sus lecturas para comentarlas con su médico.

2. Tómese la presión en un lugar tranquilo y sentado en una posición
relajada. Descanse durante 15 minutos antes de tomarse la presión.
Si se produce un error o si desea tomar una segunda lectura, deje
transcurrir 15 minutos entre lecturas para que sus vasos sanguíneos
se normalicen.

3. Evite fumar, comer, tomar medicación, beber alcohol, hacer
actividad física o cualquier otra actividad estresante 30 minutos
antes de tomarse la presión.

4. Quítese siempre las joyas o indumentaria apretada que pudiere
interferir en la colocación del brazalete.

5. Manténgase quieto usted y el monitor durante la medición; no
hable durante la lectura.

6. Se recomienda tomarse la presión a la misma hora todos los días
para controlar mejor las indicaciones en sus resultados.

7. Registre su medición diaria en la planilla que se incluye o en algún
otro documento escrito para compartirla con su médico.

COLOCACIÓN Y REEMPLAZO DE LA BATERÍA

Esta unidad viene completa con 2 baterías tipo AAA.

Es necesario reemplazar las baterías cuando aparece el símbolo de
“batería baja" en la pantalla (Fig. 1) o cuando ésta no enciende
después de presionar el botón de inicio y alto (START/STOP).

El compartimiento de la batería se lo­caliza en el costado inferior de este
monitor.

1. Suelte el seguro en la tapa del
compartimiento de la batería y
retire la tapa.

2. Inserte o reemplace las 4 baterías
AA en el compartimiento de las
baterías, vericando que las coloca de manera correspondiente con
los símbolos de polaridad (Fig. 2). Siempre use baterías nuevas.

3. Coloque nuevamente la tapa de las
baterías.

4. Deseche las baterías de
conformidad con los reglamentos
locales de desecho y reciclaje.

Se recomienda retirar las baterías si la
unidad no está en uso durante un
periodo prolongado.

AJUSTE DE FECHA Y HORA

La característica de fecha/hora aparece en la
parte inferior izquierda de la pantalla del
monitor, Fig. 1. La pantalla permanecerá en
modo “tiempo” (“time”) excepto mientras se
revisa la memoria. En ese momento, alternará
entre la hora y la fecha cuando se realiza la
medición.

1. La primera vez que se instalan las baterías,
el año comenzará a parpadear.

2. Presione el botón MEM para avanzar el año
hasta que aparezca el número deseado.
Para navegar por los números más rápido,
mantenga presionado el botón MEM
mientras avanzan los números.

3. Presione el botón SET para conrmar el año.

4. En seguida comenzará a parpadear el
mes. Repita los pasos 2 y 3 para ajustar
el mes, día, horas y minutos.

5. Después de congurar los minutos, la
unidad saldrá automáticamente del modo de
conguración de fecha/hora y estará lista
para realizar mediciones.

Si en algún momento desea restaurar la in­formación de la fecha/hora, presione y
mantenga oprimido el botón de ajustes SET
durante aproximadamente 3-4 segundos
hasta que el año comience a parpadear. En
seguida, repita los pasos 2 a 5.

ES NECESARIO QUE CONFIGURE LA FECHA Y LA HORA EN LA
UNIDAD CADA VEZ QUE INSTALE O REEMPLACE LAS BATERÍAS.

SI PREFIERE NO CONFIGURAR LA FECHA NI LA HORA, PUEDE
OPRIMIR EL BOTÓN DE INICIO Y ALTO (START/STOP) PARA CONTIN­UAR SIN AJUSTAR ESTOS PARÁMETROS.

COLOCACIÓN Y REEMPLAZO DE LA BATERÍA

Antes de colocarse el brazalete de presión
arterial, asegúrese de que la muñeca esté
dentro del rango de brazalete
correspondiente. Rango de circunferencia de
muñeca adecuado para: 5-1/2” – 7-5/8” (14
– 19.5 cm).

Recuerde: es importante evitar fumar, comer,
tomar medicación, beber alcohol o realizar
actividad física 30 minutos antes de tomarse la
presión.

Si, por cualquier motivo, usted no puede o no debe usar la muñeca
izquierda, modique las instrucciones para colocación del brazalete en
la muñeca derecha. Su médico puede ayudarlo a identicar la muñeca
que le resulte mejor para tomarse la presión.

1. Quítese cualquier indumentaria apretada o
joya que pudiere interferir con la colocación
del brazalete.

2. Permanezca sentado a una mesa o escritorio,
con los pies planos sobre el suelo.

3. Sosténgase el brazo izquierdo frente a
usted, con la palma hacia arriba.

4. Colóquese el brazalete preformado en la
muñeca izquierda de manera tal que la cara
del visor digital quede posicionada del lado
interior de la muñeca, mirando hacia usted,
Fig. 1.

5. Ajuste el brazalete 1/4”-1/2” desde el borde
de la cabeza del hueso cúbito, Fig. 2.

6. El brazalete debe sentirse cómodo, aunque
ajustado, alrededor de la muñeca.

ES MUY IMPORTANTE EL AJUSTE Y LA COLOCACIÓN ADECUADA
DEL BRAZALETE PARA OBTENER MEDICIONES PRECISAS DE LA
PRESIÓN ARTERIAL. LEA CUIDADOSAMENTE ESTAS INDICACIONES Y
CONSULTE CON SU MÉDICO PARA MÁS INSTRUCCIONES.

TOMA DE LECTURAS DE PRESIÓN ARTERIAL

Por favor lea las secciones anteriores de este
manual antes de tomar la primera lectura.

Recuerde que es importante que evite fumar,
comer, tomar medicamentos, consumir
alcohol o realizar actividades físicas 30
minutos antes de cada lectura.

1. Descanse su codo en una supercie sólida
con la palma de la mano viendo hacia arriba. Eleve su
brazo de manera que el brazalete esté al mismo nivel que su
corazón, Fig. 1. Asegúrese de que el brazalete está elevado
al nivel adecuado; puede apoyar su mano
sobre una toalla doblada o un libro. Relaje
su mano izquierda.

4. Presione el botón de inicio y alto
(START/STOP) para encender la unidad.
Ésta parpadeará por un instante indicando
que conduce una vericación (Fig. 2).

5. La pantalla mostrará un número "0"
parpadeante por unos momentos antes de
iniciar la medición.

6. El brazalete se inará de manera automática hasta
aproximadamente 180 mmHg. Verá que los
números van aumentando en la pantalla.

7. Cuando el inado haya alcanzado un nivel
óptimo, la pantalla mostrará la presión
decreciente mientras usted siente que la
presión disminuye en el brazalete.

8. Una vez completada la medición, en la
pantalla se mostrarán al mismo tiempo la
lectura de su presión arterial y su pulso (Fig. 3).

TOMA DE LECTURAS DE PRESIÓN ARTERIAL

PUEDE DETENER EL PROCESO DE INFLADO O DESINFLADO
EN CUALQUIER MOMENTO SI PRESIONA EL BOTÓN DE
INICIO Y ALTO (START/STOP). SI PRESIONA ESTE BOTÓN, EL
BRAZALETE SE DESINFLARÁ DE MANERA AUTOMÁTICA.

9. El indicador de hipertensión indicará
el rango de su lectura en el lado
izquierdo de la pantalla (Fig. 4).
Consulte la página 39 para ver una
tabla para interpretar los resultados
del indicador de hipertensión.

10.Si se detectó un ritmo cardíaco
irregular durante la lectura, el
indicador “detector de ritmo cardíaco
irregular” se mostrará en la pantalla
(Fig. 5). Consulte la página 38 para
ver más información sobre la
característica del “detector de ritmo
cardíaco irregular”.

11.La lectura se almacenará de manera
automática en la memoria (hasta 60
lecturas).

12.Seleccione el botón de inicio y alto
(START/STOP) para apagar la unidad y
así conservar energía y batería. La unidad
se apagará de manera automática

INTERPRETACIÓN DE LECTURAS DE PRESIÓN ARTERIAL

Detector de Ritmo Cardíaco Irregular

Un ritmo cardíaco irregular se dene como un ritmo cardíaco 25% más
lento o 25% más rápido que la medición promedio detectada mientras
el monitor lleva a cabo la medición. Cuando este dispositivo detecta un
ritmo cardíaco irregular en dos o más ocasiones durante la lectura,
aparecerá el símbolo IHB en la pantalla.

Este monitor operará si aparece el icono, pero los resultados podrían
verse afectados, especialmente si dicho símbolo aparece con mucha
frecuencia. Por favor, consulte con su médico o profesional de la salud
capacitado si este símbolo aparece con frecuencia, a n de obtener
más información acerca de un ritmo cardíaco irregular.

INTERPRETACIÓN DE LECTURAS DE PRESIÓN ARTERIAL

El indicador de
hipertensión es
localizado en el sector
derecho del visor

Indicador de hipertensión - Clasificaciones según la
OMS (WHO)

Esta tabla puede ayudarle a identicar si las mediciones de su presión
arterial se encuentran dentro de los estándares de la clasicación de la
Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS). Esta tabla sólo debe
utilizarse como una guía; siempre consulte a su médico para interpretar
sus resultados personales. Nunca ajuste la dosis de su(s) medicamento(s)
ni haga modicaciones importantes en su dieta o su rutina de ejercicio

FUNCIÓN DE MEMORIA

Consultar mediciones previas en su
memoria

Este monitor almacena y muestra hasta 60
mediciones previas, más un promedio de las
últimas 3 mediciones que tiene en la memoria.
Usted puede compartir estas mediciones con su
médico o su profesional de la salud capacitado.

1. Cuando el monitor esté apagado, presione y
libere el botón de memoria (MEM). En la
pantalla se mostrarán la presión arterial
promedio y el pulso promedio de las últimas
tres lecturas junto con los iconos M y AVG,
Fig 1.

2. Presione de nuevo el botón de memoria
(MEM) para comenzar a navegar por todas
las mediciones, desde las más recientes
hasta las más antiguas.

Cada medición indicará la fecha y la hora
en la que fue tomada, así como la lectura
del pulso, los resultados del Indicador de
hipertensión y de ritmo cardíaco irregular, si
los hubiera, Fig 2.

NOTA: En la parte inferior izquierda de la pantalla, se mostrarán
de manera alternada la fecha y la hora a la que fueron tomadas las
mediciones.

3. Una vez que haya navegado por todas las lecturas, la pantalla
volverá a mostrar la primera lectura que tiene en la memoria.
Presione el botón de inicio y alto (START/STOP) para apagar la
unidad.

A partir de la lectura número 61, el registro más viejo se eliminará de
la memoria y en su lugar se guardará el registro nuevo.

Borrar las mediciones de la memoria

1. Presione y libere el botón MEM para
acceder al banco de la memoria. A
continuación, presione y sostenga el botón
MEM durante 4 a 6 segundos, hasta que la
pantalla muestre "borrar" (dEL), Fig 1.

2. Cuando la pantalla muestre "borrar" (dEL),
presione y libere el botón MEM. Entonces, la
pantalla mostrará "dEL no" (borrar no), Fig

2.

3. Presione y libere de nuevo el botón MEM, y
la pantalla mostrará "dEL YES" (borrar sí),
Fig 3.

4. Cuando la pantalla muestre "dEL YES",
presione el botón de inicio y alto
(START/STOP) para borrar todas las lecturas
en la memoria del dispositivo.

Entonces, la unidad se apagará de manera
automática cuando termine de borrar la
memoria.

El buen cuidado y mantenimiento de su medidor de presión ayudará a
asegurar la larga vida útil del producto. El uso inadecuado del medidor
puede invalidar la garantía incluida.

CUIDADO Y MANTENIMIENTO DEL MEDIDOR

• No use ningún líquido para limpiar el medidor. Use un paño suave
y seco para limpiarlo según sea necesario.

• Almacenar el medidor a temperaturas de almacenamiento que
excedan las establecidas puede ocasionar errores o mal
funcionamiento. La temperatura de almacenamiento recomendada
es: -4°F – 131°F (-20°C – 55°C); Humedad: 95%.

• Mantenga siempre la unidad desconectada cuando no esté en uso.
Retire las baterías si no planea usar el medidor durante un lapso
prolongado.

• No trate de desarmar su medidor, ya que ello podría invalidar la
garantía del fabricante.

• No someta el medidor a golpes fuertes y no lo deje caer.

CUIDADO Y MANTENIMIENTO DE LA MANGA

• No sumerja la manga ni la lave en lavadora. Limpie las manchas
con un detergente suave según sea necesario.

• No trate de planchar o secar la manga. Si se humedece, deje que
se seque con el aire completamente antes de usarla o almacenarla.

• No trate de retirar el tubo y la bolsa de aire de la manga de nylon,
ya que esto podría dañarla.

de: (a) la operación incorrecta, el almacenamiento incorrecto, el uso inadecuado o
abuso, accidente o negligencia, como el daño físico (grietas, raspones, etc.) en la
supercie del producto resultado del uso inadecuado; (b) el contacto con líquidos,
agua, lluvia, humedad extrema o transpiración abundante, arena, polvo o suciedad
en general, calor extremo, o alimentos; (c) el uso del Monitor de Muñeca Para la
Presión Arterial Automático Digital con propósitos comerciales o someter al Monitor
de Muñeca Para la Presión Arterial Automático Digital a un uso o condiciones
anormales; u (d) otros actos que no son culpa de Veridian, se excluyen de la
cobertura. Esta garantía no cubre baterías ni otras fuentes de energía que se puedan
suministrar o usar con el Producto.

Si el Producto no cumple con esta garantía limitada, devuelva el Monitor de Muñeca
Para la Presión Arterial Automático Digital con franqueo prepagado junto con $5.00
para su envío de regreso, manejo y seguro a: Veridian Healthcare, Attn: Repair
Department, 1465 S. Lakeside Drive, Waukegan, IL, 60085. Cuando devuelva un
producto, por favor incluya además: (i) una copia de su recibo, factura u otro
comprobante de compra; (ii) una descripción por escrito del problema; y (iii) su
nombre, dirección y número telefónico. Embale cuidadosamente el producto para
evitar daños mientras está en tránsito; se recomienda contratar un seguro de envío con
acuse de recibo. Según lo que elija, Veridian Healthcare reparará o reemplazará la
unidad que se considere defectuosa en materiales o mano de obra bajo el uso normal
del consumidor. Al comprador se le noticará cualquier reparación adicional
requerida antes de completar la reparación, y será responsable de pagar el cargo por
las piezas, si lo hubiese, y los cargos de reparación que no estén cubiertos por esta
garantía limitada.

EXCEPTO COMO LO DISPONE ESTA GARANTÍA LIMITADA, NO SE ACEPTA
RESPONSABILIDAD ALGUNA POR TODAS LAS GARANTÍAS Y CONDICIONES
EXPRESAS E IMPLÍCITAS, INCLUIDAS EN FORMA NO RESTRICTIVA, LAS GARANTÍAS
IMPLÍCITAS DE COMERCIABILIDAD Y APTITUD PARA UN PROPÓSITO EN
PARTICULAR. LA REPARACIÓN O REEMPLAZO, COMO SE ESTIPULA EN ESTA
GARANTÍA LIMITADA, ES EL ÚNICO RECURSO EXCLUSIVO DEL CONSUMIDOR Y SE
PROPORCIONA EN LUGAR DE TODAS LAS DEMÁS GARANTÍAS, EXPRESAS O
IMPLÍCITAS. EN NINGÚN CASO VERIDIAN HEALTHCARE SERÁ RESPONSABLE,
CON BASE EN OBLIGACIONES CONTRACTUALES O CULPA EXTRACONTRACTUAL
(INCLUIDA LA NEGLIGENCIA), POR DAÑOS Y PERJUICIOS QUE SUPEREN EL
PRECIO DE COMPRA DEL PRODUCTO, O POR CUALQUIER DAÑO INDIRECTO,
INCIDENTAL, ESPECIAL O CONSECUENTE DE CUALQUIER TIPO, O POR DAÑOS A
OTRA PROPIEDAD O EQUIPO, O PÉRDIDA DE PROPIEDAD O EQUIPO O LESIONES
PERSONALES, EN LAS MÁS AMPLIAS EXTENSIÓN EN QUE LA LEY PERMITA EL
DESCARGO DE LA RESPONSABILIDAD POR DICHOS DAÑOS.

Algunos estados y jurisdicciones no permiten la limitación o exclusión de daños
incidentales o consecuentes, o la limitación en la duración de una garantía implícita,
de modo tal que las limitaciones o exclusiones podrían no aplicarse a usted. Esta
