2. General

With the addition of the 2-S ide T r immer STR to the SDD product range, a cost eff ective f ull-bleed s olutio n is available which has a sm all f ootprint and is eas il y to operate. T his m achine is de signe d with high r eliab ilit y in mind resulting in cost effective operation due to long production with minimal service requirements.
The 2-Side T rimm er, further referred to as STR, is us ed for tr imm ing the bleed of f a booklet. Booklets w ith a maximum thicknes s of 5 mm can be trimmed from 2mm to 35mm on each short edge of the booklet, to a minimum of 200mm and a maximum of 320mm finished size. It is also possible to trim asymmetrical. Operating the STR and adjusting the trim settings is achieved via the User Interface (UI) on the STR.
In the schedule below some results are shown which are possibl e with the STR by using a different Cent re Offset (symmetrical or asymmetrical):

If required, connect wire to the appropriate line voltage terminal. (Fig. 4.7.2)

4.7 Electrica l Installatio n

The STR and SFM should only be connected to an approved electrical system which is rated at a
maximum of 16A and protected by circuit breakers
Make sure the STR and SFM power cords are disconnected from a power source.
