SAFETY INTRODUCTION
- Keep the manual for further reference.
- This device is a lighting effect for creating decorative effects. It is only allowed to be operated with a voltage of 230V, 50Hz and was designed for indoor used only.
- During use, these lamps get very hot. Therefore the light effect must be placed at least 1m away from inflammable materials such as curtains, books, etc. Make sure that the housing cannot be touched by accident.
- Any installation, operation and maintenance of this device should be carried out by a qualified person.
- If the device is damaged by transportation, do not use it and consult your dealer.
- Never let the power-cord come into contact with other cables. Handle the power-cord and all connections with the mains with particular caution.
- Do not turn on the device for 5 minutes after switching off.
- The device is not a toy. Keep it away from children.
- Prior to the first use, have the unit checked by a qualified person.
- The unit contains voltage carrying parts. DO NOT open the light effect.
- Never plug or unplug the unit with wet hands.
- Disconnect the unit from the mains prior to replacing the fuse.
- If the plug or mains lead are damaged, they need to be repaired by a qualified technician.
- If the unit is damaged to an extent that you can see internal parts, do not plug the unit into a mains outlet.
- Always unplug the unit during a thunderstorm or when it is not in use.
- If the unit has not been used for a longer period of time, condensation can occur inside
- When you unplug the unit from the mains always pull the plug, never the lead.
- The supplied bracket is the main fixing and must be used to solidly mount the light effect.
- In order to avoid accidents in public premises, the local legal requirements and safety regulations/warnings must be fulfilled.
OPERATION INSTRUCTION
- Do not shake the device. Avoid brute force when installing or operating the device.
- The symbol
determines the minimum distance from lighted objects. The minimum
distance between light-output and the illuminated surface must be more than 0.5m.
- When rigging, derigging or servicing the fixture, please make sure that the area below the installation place is blocked.
- The maximum ambient temperature must never be exceeded 45°C.
INSTALLATION
CAUTION:
- The device must be installed out of reach of people.
- The installation must only be carried out by an authorized dealer.
RIGGING
- Before rigging, make sure that the installation area can hold a minimum point load of 10 times the weight of the device.
- The super strobe may cause severe injuries when crashing down! If you have doubts concerning the safety of a possible installation, do NOT install the projector.
- When installing the device, make sure there is no highly-inflammable material within min.
0.5m.
- When rigging, the screws must be fixed tightly.
- The installation of this device must be approved by a skilled person once a year in the course of an acceptance test.
DMX CONNECTION
The two 3-pin connectors (as following: figures1-2) are for the DMX system. The device needs two channels to control it.
ADDRESS SETTING
The following tables show the address setting on the fixtures (1-128). (figure 3)
Procedure:
CAUTION:
The switch"#10" is for testing. During the address setting, "#10" must be turned “OFF".
1. Search the figure of your fixture.
2. Search the corresponding number horizontally among the address switch (#1-#5);
Search the corresponding number vertically among the address switch (#6-#9).
IMPORTANT: The number "0" indicates the switch is turned "OFF". The number "1" indicates the switch is turned "ON'.
EXAMPLE: To search the 50th fixture address.
1. Find out the figure"50" in the table "ADDRESS SETTING ";
2. Search the number among the switches (#1-#5) horizontally; they are 1, 0, 1, 0, 0;
3. Search the number among the switches (#6-#9) vertically; they are 0, 1, 1, 0;
4. The way to set the 50th fixture address is : TURN ON: 1, 3, 7, 8; TURN OFF: 2,
4, 5, 6,9.
CAUTION: Before connecting the strobe with the controller, all channels have to be set to
minimum position.

REPLACING THE FLASH-TUBE
CAUTION: Before replacing the flash-tube, unplug the device and let the lamp cool down.
(approx. 5 minutes)
1.Make sure the unit is not plugged into any
power outlet. Unscrew 4 screws and take down the protective glass (figure 4).
2.Unscrew the screws on the PCB plate at both
sides and take the plate out of the casing (figure 5).
3. Press the tube-holder (the two steel plates inside
the super strobe), take the old flash-tube out of the tube-holder. Then, place the new flash-tube into the tube-holder (figure 6).
4. Connect the tube wires and trigger wire
with the PCB plate. Screw them tightly. Note: The trigger wire is tiny, please do not damage it when screw in (figure 7).
5. Place the PCB plate into the casing;
Place the protective glass. Screw tightly (figure 8).
- For the installation, you need one the right Xenon bulb for it.
- The flash tube has to be replaced when it is damaged or deformed due to the heat.
- A frequent cleaning of the device is recommended. Please use a moist, lint-free cloth. Never use alcohol or solvents!
