Introduction
Unpacking: Thank you for purchasing the LED Par 56S/156-5mm. Every LED Par 56S/156-5mm has
been thoroughly tested and has been shipped in perfect operating condition. Carefully check the
shipping carton for damage that may have occurred during shipping. If the carton appears to be
damaged, carefully inspect your fixture for any damage and be sure all accessories necessary to
operate the unit has arrived intact. In the case damage has been found or parts are missing, please
contact the manufacturer or your dealer for further instructions. Do not return this unit to your dealer
without first contacting.
Introduction: The LED Par 56S/156-5mm is a DMX intelligent Par Can. This Par Can is light weight
and compact which makes it a great piece for mobile DJ’s and clubs. This unit can be used as a stand
alone, or a sound-active mode. The unit can also be controlled via DMX controller.
Warning! To prevent or reduce the risk of electrical shock or fire, do not expose this unit to rain or
moisture.
Caution! There are no user serviceable parts inside this unit. Do not attempt any repairs yourself;
doing so will void your manufactures warranty. In the unlikely event your unit may require service
please contact the manufacturer or your dealer.
PLEASE recycle the shipping carton when ever possible.
General Instructions
To optimize the performance of this product, please read these operating instructions carefully to
familiarize you with the basic operations of this unit. These instructions contain important safety
information regarding the use and maintenance of this unit. Please keep this manual with the unit, for
future reference.

Safety Precautions
z To reduce the risk of electrical shock or fire, do not expose this unit to rain or moisture.
z Do not spill water or other liquids into or on to your unit.
z Be sure that the local power outlet match that of the required voltage for your unit.
z Do not attempt to operate this unit if the power cord has been frayed or broken. Do not attempt to
remove or break off the ground prong from the electrical cord. This prong is used to reduce the
risk of electrical shock and fire in case of an internal short.
z Disconnect from main power before making any type of connection.
z Do not remove the cover under any conditions. There are no user serviceable parts inside.
z Never operate this unit when it’s cover is removed.
z Never plug this unit in to a dimmer pack.
z Always be sure to mount this unit in an area that will allow proper ventilation. Allow about 6” (15cm)
between this device and a wall.

z Power-supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by
items placed upon or against them, paying particular attention to the point they exit from the unit.
z Cleaning -The fixture should be cleaned only as recommended by the manufacturer. See
“Cleaning” for details.
z Heat -The appliance should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers,
stoves, or other appliances (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
z The fixture should be serviced by qualified service personnel when:
A. The power-supply cord or the plug has been damaged.
B. Objects have fallen, or liquid has been spilled into the appliance.
C. The appliance has been exposed to rain or water.
D. The appliance does not appear to operate normally or exhibits a marked change in
performance.
Set Up
Power Supply: Before plugging your unit in, be sure the source voltage in your area matches the
required voltage for your LED Par 56S/156-5mm. The LED Par 56S/156-5mm is available in a 120v
and 220v version. Because line voltage may vary from venue to venue, you should be sure your unit
voltage matches the wall outlet voltage before attempting to operate you fixture.
DMX Linking: To ensure proper DMX data transmission, when using several DMX fixtures try to use
the shortest cable path possible. The order in which fixtures are connected in a DMX line does not
influence the DMX addressing. For example; a fixture assigned a DMX address of 1 may be placed
anywhere in a DMX line, at the beginning, at the end, or anywhere in the middle. When a fixture is
assigned a DMX address of 1, the DMX controller knows to send DATA assigned to address 1 to that
unit, no matter where it is located in the DMX chain.
Operating Instructions
Operating Modes: You can use the LED Par 56S/156-5mm in four ways:
z Sound-Active mode - The unit will react to sound, chasing through the built in programs.
z Auto Mode - The unit will automatically chase through the different colors.
z RGB Mode - Choose a single color or colors to stay static.
z DMX control mode - This function will allow you to control each individual fixtures traits with a
standard DMX 512 controller.
DMX Mode: Operating through a DMX controller give the user the freedom to create their own
programs tailored to their own individual needs. This function also allows you to use your fixtures as
spot lights.
1. This function will allow you to control each individual fixture’s traits with a standard DMX 512
controller.
2. The LED Par 56S/156-5mm uses 5 DMX channels to operate. Please see “DMX Values and
Functions” for the DMX traits.

3. To run your fixture in DMX mode, plug in the fixture via the XLR connections to any standard DMX
controller. Set your desired DMX address following the setup specifications that come with your
DMX controller.

Note: “1” means the DIP switch must be ON; “0” means the DIP Switch must be OFF; “X” means the
DIP switch can be either ON or OFF, depending on what function you to set with the par can.

Cleaning
Due to fog residue, smoke, and dust cleaning the internal and external optical lenses must be carried
out periodically to optimize light output.
1. Use normal glass cleaner and a soft cloth to wipe down the outside casing.
2. Clean the external optics with glass cleaner and a soft cloth every 20 days.
3. Always be sure to dry all parts completely before plugging the unit back in.
Cleaning frequency depends on the environment in which the fixture operates (i.e. smoke, fog residue,
dust, dew).
Trouble Shooting
Listed below are a few common problems the user may encounter, with solutions.
Unit not respond to DMX:
1. Check that the DMX cables are connected properly and are wired correctly (pin 3 is “hot”; on some
other DMX devices pin 2 may be ‘hot’). Also, check that all cables are connected to the right
connectors; it does matter which way the inputs and outputs are connected.
Unit does not respond to sound:
1. Quiet or high pitched sounds will not activate the unit. If problems are not resolved, contact your
dealer for service.

Introduction

appareil a été testé soigneusement et expédié en parfait état de fonctionnement. Vérifiez si l’emballage
est resté intact pendant le transport. Si le carton présente des dommages, vérifiez l’appareil ainsi que
tous les accessoires. Si l’appareil a été endommagé ou des pièces sont manquantes, contactez
immédiatement votre revendeur.
Introduction: Le projecteur à LED Par 56S/156-5mm est un appareil intelligent, léger et compact qui
convient à la perfection aux DJs mobiles et aux clubs. L’appareil peut être utilisé seul, en mode audio
(activé par la musique) ou commandé par DMX.

pluie ou à l’humidité.

familiariser avec son fonctionnement. Le manuel contient des informations importantes concernant
l’utilisation et la maintenance de cet appareil. Conservez le mode d’emploi à portée de la main.

z Ne pas ouvrir le boîtier. Il ne contient aucune pièce remplaçable par l’utilisateur.
z Ne jamais faire fonctionner l’appareil lorsque le boîtier est ouvert.
z Ne jamais brancher cet appareil sur un dimmer pack.
z Installez l’appareil dans un endroit suffisamment ventilé. Laissez au moins 15cm entre l’appareil et
un mur
z Ne pas utiliser cet appareil lorsqu’il est endommagé
z L’appareil convient uniquement pour une utilisation à l’intérieur. L’utilisation à l’extérieur invalide la

z En cas de non-utilisation prolongée, débranchez l’appareil du secteur.
z Installez l’appareil de façon à ce qu’il ne puisse pas tomber.
z Passez le cordon d’alimentation de façon à ce que personne ne puisse marcher dessus ni qu’il
puisse être écrasé par un objet.
z Nettoyez l’appareil uniquement de la façon préconisée par le fabricant (voir chapitre
« Nettoyage »)
z Tenir à l’abri des sources de chaleur telles que des radiateurs, fours, poêles et autres appareils
générant de la chaleur (y compris des amplificateurs).
z Faire réparer l’appareil par une personne qualifié si
A. Le cordon d’alimentation ou la fiche ont été endommagés
B. Un objet ou un liquide a pénétré dans l’appareil.
C. L’appareil a été exposé à la pluie ou l’humidité.
D. L’appareil ne fonctionne pas correctement ou présente un changement notable dans sa façon
de fonctionner.
Installation
Alimentation: Avant de brancher l’appareil, assurez-vous que votre tension secteur correspond à la
tension d’alimentation du projecteur. Le projecteur est disponible en 120V et 220V. Puisque la tension
secteur peut varier d’un pays à l’autre, vérifiez que l’appareil convient bien à votre tension secteur
avant de l’utiliser.
Chaînage DMX: Afin d’assurer une bonne transmission des données DMX lorsque vous utilisez
plusieurs appareils, essayez de maintenir la longueur de câble aussi courte que possible. L’ordre dans
lequel les appareils sont connectés dans une chaîne DMX n’a aucune incidence sur l’adresse DMX.
P.ex. un appareil dont l’adresse DMX est le 1 peut être placé n’importe où dans la chaîne DMX, aussi
bien au début qu’à la fin ou quelque part au milieu. Si l’adresse affectée à l’appareil est le 1, la
commande DMX sait qu’il doit envoyer les données affectées à l’adresse 1 à cet appareil, peu importe
où il se trouve dans la chaine.
Utilisation
Modes de fonctionnement : Vous pouvez utiliser le projecteur à LED PAR56S/156-5mm de quatre
façons :
z Mode audio : L’appareil réagit à la musique en passant les programmes intégrés.
z Mode Auto – L’appareil passera automatiquement les différentes couleurs
z Mode RVB – Choisissez une couleur et la couleur reste statique.
z Mode DMX – Cette fonction vous permet de commander chaque appareil individuellement à l’aide
d’une commande DMX 512 standard.
Mode DMX: Une commande DMX confère à l’utilisateur la liberté de créer son propre programme sur
mesure. Cette fonction vous permet également d’utiliser vos appareils comme des projecteurs.
1. Cette fonction vous permet de commander chaque appareil individuellement à l’aide d’une
commande DMX512 standard.
2. Le projecteur à LED PAR56S/156-5mm offre 5 canaux DMX. Voir « Valeurs et Fonctions DMX ».
3. Pour utiliser l’appareil en mode DMX, branchez l’appareil via les fiches XLR sur une commande
DMX standard. Réglez l’adresse DMX en suivant les instructions livrées avec la commande DMX.

Celui qui est branché sur la source du signal DMX
est le maître et tous les autres sont des esclaves
dans la chaîne.
Note: “1” signifie que le commutateur DIP doit être placé sur ON. « 0 » signifie que le commutateur DIP
doit être sur OFF. « X » signifie que le commutateur DIP peut être dans l’une ou l’autre position. Cela
dépend de la fonction que vous souhaiter régler.
