INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing SkyRC's LiPoPal (SK-500007). Please read this entire operating
manual completely and attentively as it contains important information and safety notes.
LiPoPal is a very sophisticated electronic device that controlled by high performance
microprocessor and precise resistors.

FUNTIONS
There are two functions of this compact device:
Battery Checker
1.
The LiPoPal can check the voltage of each cell of a lithium battery pack and remaining
capacity in percentage %.
Self Voltage Balancer
2.
This program can equalize the individual voltages to their lowest one. Balance operation
automatically starts about 5 seconds after the battery pack is connected. When the voltage
difference between cells over 0.02V, the balancer will start to work. The corresponding “V”
will be blinking when it is balancing. When the voltage difference between cells reaches
0.01V or less, balance operation ends and the device enters the sleep mode and “SLP” will
be displayed on the LCD.

HOW TO USE
Simply connect the battery pack to 7 pins connector (XH type). Please note the negative lead or
pin of the LiPo connector should match the “Negative” marked on the shell of LiPoPal. After the
LiPo is connected, the LCD display the voltage of each cell and the built in balance will check
the voltage. If the pack is not balanced, the balancer will start working.
For TP/FP batteries, please use conversion adaptor which is included in this package.

SAFETY NOTE AND CAUTION
The LiPoPal battery checker can only be used with the lithium polymer battery packs up to 6
cells. It cannot handle batteries of other cell sizes and types. During the measurement, the
voltage of each cell may change time to time due to the battery itself and the ambient
temperature, etc.
The remaining capacity (Battery Fuel Gauge) display is based on voltage at no load. Since it
may differ largely from actual remaining capacity according to the battery type, use it as a
reference only.
For the safety issue, the device will enter sleep mode after 180 minutes even the battery pack is
not finished the balancing.
To protect the battery from the over-discharge, there are minimum voltages to be balanced. If
the any individual voltage is lower than the 3.0V, there shows “Err” message on the LCD screen.

Never connect the battery in reverse. Reverse connection may damage the inside of the
device.
Never get the LiPoPal wet. The LiPoPal houses precision electronic circuits which may
malfunction if water or other solution enters the case.
Do not use the LiPoPal by placing it on a combustible material. There is the danger of
abnormal heating of the battery for some reason.
Be careful not to cause a short circuit by pinching the cord of the battery pack. Shorting may
cause abnormal heating or sparking of the battery.
Disconnect the battery pack after use.

WARRANTY AND SERVICE
We guarantee this product to be free of manufacturing and assembly defects for a period of one
year from the time of purchase. The warranty only applies to material or operational defects,
which are present at the time of purchase. During that period, we will repair or replace free of
service charge for products deemed defective due to those causes.
You will be required to produce proof of purchase (invoice or receipt). This warranty is not valid
for any damage or subsequent damage arising as a result of misuse, modification or as a result
of failure to observe the procedures outlined in this manual.
