DE. S-BOARD
Clip-on front mudguard for racing bikes, cyclocross bikes, hybrid bikes and gravel bikes. For a max. tyre width of 38 mm. The S-BOARD is the ideal companion for our S-BLADE rear mudguard. Its light, double-hinged quick release tting system also ts aero forks.
Mounting instructions: The S-BOARD is to be mounted on the fork so that there is a minimum clearance of 1.5 cm between the mudguard and the tyres all-round. CAUTION! Only tighten the screws with max. 1 NM!
1
Initially position at point A the mudguard on the fork so that the minimum clearance to the tyre of 1.5 cm is ensured. This can be ascer tained by pushing it up or down (Arrow
B). Now tighten the quick release rubber around the fork and hook it into the fastening tabs, so that it is unable to slip on the fork (see 1a.).
1a
Use the enclosed paintwork protection in order to protect the frame. Please see the section entitled »Permanent attachment of the mudguards« for information regarding the
permanent attachment of the mudguard with not enclosed cable ties.
2
Now adjust the angle of the mudguard, by loosening the screws and moving the mudguard, within the elongated eyelets at the end of the plastic stays, so that the clearance
between the mudguards and the tyres is a min. of 1.5 cm all-round. Now retighten the screws (max. 1 NM) so that the mudguard now rmly remains in position.
2a
Where necessary, carefully shorten the clamping rubbers with a scissors so that the ends cannot come into contact with the wheel spokes.
Permanent mounting of the mudguards
In order to fasten with quick release clamping rubbers, the S-BOARD can also be attached with cable ties (C). This type of fastening is only suitable for a permanent mounting and as protection against the S-BOARD being stolen from the bike. In order to assemble the mudguard, use a further 2 cable ties per side in addition to the clamping rubbers. Ensure that the cable ties run precisely in the grooves provided for this purpose. Pull the cable ties as tight as possible in order so that slipping cannot occur. Carefully cut the protruding ends of the cable ties using scissors.
Safety instructions!
Before each journey, check that the mudguard is sitting correctly. If the minimum distance between the mudguard and the tyre is not observed, the mudguard may become damaged and, in the worst case scenario, could lead a crash. Therefore, it is essential that the minimum distance of 1.5cm is observed during assembley. Ensure that the awless function of the brakes is guaranteed and that the mudguard does not come into contact with the moving brake parts. Due to the eect of UV radiation, the clamping rubbers are subject to natural aging. Regularly check the condition of the clamping rubbers and promptly replace them in the event of damage. Please check screws before each ride to insure they are tight to 1NM.
