1.1Safety Information
When using any electrical appliance, safety precautions should
always be observed. Read these instructions carefully and retain for
future reference.
When used by, or near, young
children or infirm persons, close
supervision is necessary. Young
children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
Only use this appliance with voltage
specified on the rating label.
Regulations require that all
electrical work be carried out by
authorised persons. For your own
safety and that of others, ensure
this is done.
Disconnect the cabinet from the
power supply before cleaning the
cabinet.
Ensure adequate ventilation of the
refrigeration system.
Do NOT cover the grilles or block
the entry or exhaust of airflow by
placing objects up against the
refrigeration unit.

Be careful not to touch moving parts
or hot surfaces.
Do NOT probe any opening.
If the supply cord becomes
damaged, it must be replaced by a
SKOPE authorised service agent,
or similarly qualified person.

The content with this ‘Warning’ symbol is in association
with product safety and user’s personal safety.
Operation should be strictly in accordance with the
warning material.
The content with this ‘Forbid’ symbol is operation that is

1.2Positioning of Machine
The cooler must be positioned on a
level surface to ensure the cabinet is
stable, as well as to prevent the
condensate tray from overflowing.
When being moved the cabinet
should not be angled more than 45°.
When installing the cooler, avoid
direct sunlight, hot surfaces and
warm drafts etc.
Normal maximum operating
conditions are 40°C at 75% RH.
For efficient operation of the cooler, it
is essential that adequate ventilation
be provided around the refrigeration
unit.
A gap of at least 50mm should be
kept between the back and wall.
Never store cardboard cartons or
other items in front of the
refrigeration unit. The ventilation
slots in the front and rear of the
cabinet must be kept clear at all
times.

1.Unpack all the packing
material from the cabinet,
including the foam base.
2.Ensure both the front
stabiliser feet are screwed
firmly down to floor level.
3.Clean the cooler before
using, by wiping both the
interior and exterior of the
cabinet with a damp cloth.
4.After moving the cooler, allow
the cabinet to stand for at
least 30 minutes before
connecting to the power
supply.
5.Connect the cabinet to the
mains power supply and
check operation of the
refrigeration unit and cabinet
lighting.

2.1Cabinet Operation
Connect the cabinet to the mains power supply and check operation
of the refrigeration unit and cabinet lighting.
Refrigeration Unit
The refrigeration unit evaporator and condenser fans should all
operate continuously from the time the cabinet is plugged in. This
may be verified by checking air movement inside the cabinet and out
of the top of the front kick panel.
Lighting
The sign light and cabinet interior light will both go on when the
cabinet is plugged in, and will stay on permanently. The fluorescent
lights will require a period of time to stabilise following initial start up.

2.2Loading
When loading the cabinet shelves with product:
•Allow air space around all the product, for even cooling and
efficient operation of the cooler.
•Do not exceed a maximum of 195 kg/m
2
•Leave an air space of at least 50mm above product on the top
shelf.
•Do not allow products to overhang the front or rear of the
shelves, as this will effect air flow.
The cooler should be
left running for 30
minutes before loading
with product.
Ensure the shelves are securely
fitted, using all four of the supplied
shelf clips on each shelf.

2.3Temperature Adjustment
The storage temperature of the cooler can be regulated to suit
different ambient temperature by turning the temperature controller
knob, located on the back of the cabinet.
The knob is graduated from 0 through to 6, with 1 being the warmest
and 6 being the coldest. The normal temperature controller setting
is between 3 and 5.
•To make colder - turn the controller knob clockwise.
•To make warmer - turn the controller knob anti-clockwise.
Note: Turning the knob to 0 will switch the refrigeration unit OFF.

3.1Lighting
Cabinet Light
The cabinet interior light is fitted with a 15 Watt T8 fluorescent tube
(Ø26mm x 435mm). To replace the fluorescent tube:
1.Disconnect the cabinet from the
mains power supply.
2.Reach inside the cabinet and
undo the two screws from behind
the light cover.
3.Remove the light cover by pulling
the cover forward and down.
4.Revolve the fluorescent tube until
the pin position allows withdrawal.
Replace the fluorescent tube with
SKOPE part no. ELL9386.

Sign Light
The illuminated top sign is fitted with a 15 Watt T8 fluorescent tube
(Ø26mm x 435mm). To replace the fluorescent tube:
1.Disconnect the cabinet from the
mains power supply.
2.Undo the two screws from each
side of the sign light cover.
3.Carefully remove the sign light
cover from the cabinet.
4.Revolve the fluorescent tube until
the pin position allows withdrawal.
Replace the fluorescent tube with
SKOPE part no. ELL9386.

3.2Cleaning
Disconnect the cabinet from the
mains power supply before
cleaning.
When necessary, wipe both the
interior and exterior of the cabinet
with a damp cloth.
Do NOT use abrasive or corrosive
cleaning agents or boiling water to
clean the cabinet.
Do NOT flush the cabinet with
water.
The condenser coil MUST be kept
clean for efficient and reliable
operation.
To clean the condenser, remove
the intake filter from the rear of the
cabinet and use a soft brush to
clean the filter and the fins of the
condenser coil.

3.3Servicing
For ease of servicing, the refrigeration condensing unit pulls out
from the refrigeration unit bottom compartment.
1.Disconnect the cabinet from the
mains power supply.
2.Undo the two fixing screws
clamping the power cord to the
rear of the cabinet.
3.Undo the two fixing screws holding
the front grille.
Lift the grille up and pull forward to
remove from the cabinet.
4.Remove the fixing screws from the
front and rear left hand corners of
the unit base. Remove the panel
from the rear of the cabinet to
access the rear fixing screw.
5.The condensing unit base can now
be partially pulled out from the
cabinet.
