Introduction
Designed for easy installation, your SKOPE 977EA Bathroom Fan Heater incorporates a unique wall-mounting hinged chassis, making installation faster and easier. Safety Information
When using any electrical appliance, safety precautions should always be observed. Read these instructions carefully, and retain for future reference. For service, contact your nearest authorised service agent.
Under no circumstances should an una uthorised person open the heater, in order to adjust the thermostat.
When used by, or near, youn g children or infirm persons, close supervision is necessary. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Do NOT use this appliance other than for its intended use.
Use this appliance with the voltage specified on the rating label.
Be very careful not to touch hot surfaces or moving p arts.
Do NOT cover the grilles or place any object or material up against the unit, as this may block entry or exhaus t of airflo w.
Do NOT probe any opening to remove fluf f. To ensure trouble-free performance it is recommended that on a regu lar ba sis the unit b e isolated from the power supply and a vacuum cleaner used to remove dust and fluff from the inlet and outlet grilles.
Regulations require that electrical work be carried out b y authorised persons. For your own safety and that of others, en sure this is done.
Do NOT allow the supply cord to come into contact with heated surfaces during operation.
If the supply cord becomes damaged, it must be replaced by a SKOPE authorised service agent, or similarly qualified person, in order to avoid a hazard.

Safety Cutout
Your SKOPE 977EA Bathroom Fan Heater is fitted with a n auto- reset thermal cutout and a fusible link. Either of these devices will automatically switch off the elements, should the unit reach an abnormal temperature. Should this occur:
1. Disconnect heater from powe r sup p l y
2. Check for blockage of the air inlet and outlet
3. Use a vacuum cleaner to clean if necessary
If the heater still fails to operate, contact your nearest authorised service agent.
Operation
Air is drawn through the slots in the cover of the heater by an axial fan, blown over heating elements and then blown out through the bottom louvred grille into the room. The heater is controlled by the pull-cord switch.
The heat output is regulated by an internal, step-do wn thermostat which will reduce the output from 2200-2400 Watts to 1100-1200 Watts when a comfortable room temperature is reached.
Care
The heater is best wiped down from time to time with a damp cloth. Do not use any abrasive cleaners.
