Automatic leveling laser 510 INTRODUCTION
This tool is intended for the defining and checking of
exact horizontal, vertical and crossed lines by projecting self-leveling laser beams
Carefully read this instruction manual as well as the
warning label on the tool, before you use the tool 1
Pay special attention to the safety instructions and
warnings; failure to follow these may result in serious (eye) injury
Save this instruction manual for future reference

SAFETY
Do not look into the laser beam (laser radiation) 2
Do not point the laser beam at persons or animals
Do not place the tool in a position that may cause
anyone to look into the laser beam intentionally or unintentionally
Do not use any magnifying optical tools (such as
magnifying glasses, telescopes, or binoculars) to view the laser beam
Do not remove or damage the warning label on the tool
Do not operate the tool in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases or dust
Do not operate the tool with children around
This tool should not be used by people under the age of
16 years
Do not use the tool for any purpose other than those
mentioned in this instruction manual
Only use the original accessories which are intended for
this tool

USE
Mounting of batteries 4
- open cover D
- insert 2 x AA (LR6) / 1,5V batteries (pay attention to correct polarisation)
- close cover D and ensure it is in place securely
- always remove the batteries from the tool, if the tool is not used for a long period
- always replace the complete set of batteries
On/off 5
- switch on/off the tool by pressing button A or button B
! do not look into the laser beam ! do not point the laser beam at persons or animals ! always switch off the tool after use ! always lock the self-leveling system after use and
during transportation by sliding switch C in the lock-position
Operating the tool 6
- position the tool on a horizontal surface
- switch on the tool
! if the surface inclines more than 4°, the tool is out
of its self-leveling range
- level the tool by turning adjustment knobs E in such a way that the bubbles in levels F are centered
- only use the bubble levels as a first rough indication for leveling
! before projecting a line shake the tool somewhat
in order to activate the self-leveling system
- project a horizontal line by pressing button A
- project a vertical line by pressing button B
- project a crossed line by pressing button A and B one after the other
- obstructions in front of the tool will not affect the line projection 7
- use the tool manually for quick reference of a straight line or alignment of two points of reference (lock the self-leveling system) 8
- make measurements using the projected line as reference 9

- rotate tool manually for easy projection of horizontal lines across a room
- use graduation scale G 3 for making accurate alignments across a room

- for improving the view of the laser line

Tripod $
- unfold the tripod
- lock the tripod with ring K

- adjust length of 3 legs with clips L
- adjust length of rod M with handle N
- lock rod M with knob P
- mount tool directly on tripod, or use extension rod Q
! ensure that the tool is firmly fixed to the tripod
MAINTENANCE
Always lock the self-leveling system after use and
during transportation by sliding switch C in the lock­position 5
Do not expose the tool to continuous vibration or
extremely hot or cold temperatures
Always store the tool indoors in its protective carton/case
Always keep the tool free of dust, moisture and direct
sunlight
Clean the tool with a soft cotton cloth and glass cleaner
! always remove the batteries before cleaning the
lens
Do not disassemble or modify the tool in any way
Do not attempt to change any part of the laser lens

statutory/country-specific regulations; damage due to normal wear and tear, overload or improper handling will be excluded from the guarantee
In case of a complaint, send the tool undismantled
together with proof of purchase to your dealer or the nearest Skil service-station (addresses as well as the service diagram of the tool are listed on www.skileurope.com)

UTILISATION
Installation des piles 4
- ouvrez le couvercle D
- insérez 2 piles AA (LR6) /1,5 V (respectez les polarités)
- fermez le couvercle D et vérifiez qu’il est bien enclenché
