In this user manual, you will find information and advice for using, operating and maintaining
Sit & Shower.
Sit & Shower is designed for homecare and inpatient purposes. Sit & Shower is to be used
exclusively for assistance during showering, bathing or using a toilet. Sit & Shower is not
designed for long periods of sitting.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
READ AND FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
Important Safety Instructions appearing in this manual are not meant to cover all
possible conditions and situations that may occur. Common sense, caution, and
care should be exercised when installing, maintaining, or operating the device.
ALWAYS contact the manufacturer about problems or conditions you do not
understand.
Safety messages will tell you what the potential hazard is, tell you how to reduce the
chance of injury, and tell you what can happen if the instructions are not followed.
“WARNING” indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may
result in death or serious injury.
“CAUTION” indicates a hazardous situation which, if not observed properly, may
result in serious consequences.
1. Use the device only for its intended use as described in this manual.
2. Install and use the shower chair only indoors, on solid, even, level and non-slippery
surfaces.
3. WARNING: Install the device in accordance with these instructions. Use supply wires that
are suitable for 75°C (167°F), including the temperature rating of the supply conductors to
be used. This unit should be electrically grounded and installed by a licensed contractor,
electrician, and plumber. Building materials and wiring should be routed away from the
motor/pump or blower or other heat producing components of this unit. A pressure wire
connector is provided on the exterior of the motor/pump and heater to permit
connection of an No. 8 AWG solid copper bonding conductor between this unit and all
other electric equipment and exposed metal in the vicinity, as needed to comply with
local requirements.
4. Do not use the device on an incline greater than 5°.
5. WARNING: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by
a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.

6. WARNING: Only allow children to use the appliance without supervision when adequate
instructions have been given so that the child is able to use the appliance in a safe way
and understands the hazards of improper use.
7. Never drop or insert any object into any opening of the device.
8. RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK: The device must be connected only to a dedicated electrical
supply circuit that is protected by an Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker (ELCB). The ELCB
should be tested on a routine basis by the homeowner. To test the ELCB push the test
button. The ELCB should interrupt power. Push the RESET button. Power should be restored.
If the ELCB fails to operate in this manner there is a ground current fault, indicating the
possibility of an electric shock. Do not use the device. Disconnect the power and have
the problem corrected by a qualified service electrician. Re-test the ELCB and only when
it is operating properly may the device be used.
9. The appliance should be supplied through a residual current device (RCD) having a rated
residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA.
10. RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK: A terminal is provided on the exterior of the pump. To reduce
the risk of electric shock, connect this terminal to the grounding terminal of your electric
service or supply panel with a conductor equivalent in size to the circuit conductors
supplying this equipment. Save These Instructions.
11. RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK: It is NOT recommended to use the device whilst lightning,
thunderstorm or under any extreme weather conditions.
12. CAUTION: Glowing cigarettes are to be fixed in a conspicuous place beside the toilet.
Glowing cigarettes and other burning materials should not be thrown into the toilet.
13. CAUTION: Water temperature in excess of 106°F (42°C) or less than 96.8°F (36°C) may be
injurious to your health and harmful to your skin. Check and adjust water temperature
before use.
14. CAUTION: Maximum temperature of hot water input should not exceed 55°C.
15. CAUTION: To reduce the risk of infection or injury, please ensure the device is connected
to sanitized hot and cold water supplies. Failure to maintain water quality may lead to
unhealthy conditions for shower and increase risk of contracting waterborne illnesses
and/or respiratory ailments. Poor water quality may also damage the device’s shell and
components and the shower chair, which are not covered under the warranty.
16. CAUTION: Showering for too long may be harmful, especially for seniors. It is
recommended not to shower for more than 10 minutes.
17. CAUTION: To prevent falling, always wear the seat belt while showering. Whilst using the
device the user should remain calmly seated. Excessive movement should be avoided.
18. Sitting down, standing up and moving the patient should be supervised by a qualified
care-worker, as to the health condition of the patient. Always use handlebars as a
precautionary measure when sitting down or standing up.
19. WARNING: To prevent falling, do NOT lean on the side and foot panels which are not
intended to support your body weight. Do NOT lean on the handlebars frame or use them
to support your body weight if you find any moving parts in them. Condition checking of
the handlebars and frame should be done regularly.
20. CAUTION: Bathroom floor may be slippery, to prevent falling, please be careful when
walking in and out of the device. Please make sure the bathroom floor is slip proof.
21. CAUTION: Do not exceed the recommended supporting capacity of the device - 100kg
(220lbs).
22. WARNING: To avoid resident infection and contamination of the device, disinfect the
device and the shower chair after initial set up and ALWAYS disinfect the device and the
shower chair AFTER each use.

23. CAUTION: Do NOT disinfect the device when it is occupied otherwise injury may occur.
24. ALWAYS wear gloves, protective apron, and face shield protection when disinfecting or
cleaning the device.
25. ALWAYS handle disinfectants, cleaning compounds, and powdered sanitizers with
extreme care. Warranty does not cover physical or mechanical damage caused by
improper handling or usage of the device.
26. CAUTION: Do NOT be anywhere near the device during the disinfectant cycle. Doing so
could result in skin or eye contact with the disinfectant, which is corrosive. If contact is
made, rinse IMMEDIATELY with water. If irritation occurs, consult a physician.
27. WARNING: To prevent residue of sanitizer, DO NOT stop the device during autodisinfection cycle and please ensure the disinfection cycle is complete.
28. NEVER use abrasive cleaners like scouring powder or liquid cleaners containing pumice
stone. The use of these types of cleaners may make the finish of the device scratched
and dull. NEVER use cleaners containing concentrated hydrogen peroxide, iodine,
bromine, povidone-iodine or methylene blue. The use of these types of cleaners may
cause the device to stain. Never use cleaners containing concentrated bleach. Use of
these types of cleaners may dry out the rubber seals and gaskets and the tub may not
function properly.
29. During assembly, use or cleaning, be careful not to put your fingers between any moving
parts.
30. Avoid reaching into the hinges areas to prevent body parts or objects from getting
pinched.
31. Do not modify or reconstruct the device or use attachments NOT recommended by the
manufacturer.
32. DANGER: If you are or think you may be pregnant, consult your physician before using the
device.
33. Whilst the device is being adjusted, the user must be kept away from moving parts.
34. The device should be used with care.
35. Do not operate the device if damaged, malfunctioning, partially disassembled, or if it has
missing or broken parts or you suspect it is faulty or broken. Contact your distributor or
Automation for Humanity Ltd. directly.
36. Installation, maintenance, and repair should be performed by a qualified installer. Work
by unqualified persons could be dangerous and may void the warranty.
37. The appliance is only to be used with the power adaptor unit provided with the
appliance.
38. Glowing cigarettes is to be fixed in a conspicuous place beside the toilet. Glowing
cigarettes and other burning materials must not be thrown into the toilet.
39. Separate electrical appliances producing steam or humidity are not to be used inside the
cabinet.
40. CAUTION: Do not exceed the water pressure range 0.2 – 0.6MPa (2.0-6.0 bar).

42. The appliance must only be supplied at safety extra low voltage corresponding to the

45. The device should be installed above a toilet such that the central hole of the device is
aligned with the center of the toilet bowl.
46. To clean the device, please utilize the regular disinfection cycle and follow up with a
gentle wash with a mild detergent or disinfecting cleaner.
47. Regular cleaning of the toilet bowl can be done with an L-shaped or curved brush. For
more extensive cleaning, please disconnect the power source, turn off the water supply
and ensure that the inlet water supply pipes have cooled. Gently pull the device out to
clean the toilet and device. After cleaning, first place the device back into its proper
position before restarting the water supply and connecting the power source

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
SAFETY PRECAUTION
To prevent damage to human body or property loss, please read through the following
instructions before installing Sit & Shower (herein referred as “this product”). Please comply with
the following content as damage will be caused if used incorrectly.
This product should be installed by qualified plumber or service agent.
PRECAUTION BEFORE INSTALLATION
CLAIM
Before finishing the installation, please DO NOT plug in or connect to the power socket,
otherwise damage may be caused.
Please ONLY use the components provided in the package for installation.
This product is suitable for water pressures between 0.2MPa ~ 0.6 MPa and water flow larger
or equal to 7 L/min.
If the ground is not level, the device could wobble and may not be secure

PREPARATION BEFORE INSTALLATION
CONFIRM THE POWER SOURCE

Before installation, please ensure the power socket in your place can fulfill this product’s
requirement and ‘ground’ it correctly. If it cannot be ensured, please find a qualified
electrician to confirm. Switch of the power supply before connecting the transformer.
The transformer should be installed on the ceiling or away from any source of water and at
least 2 meters above floor or put on top of the false ceiling.
This appliance must only be supplied by safety extra low voltage corresponding to the marking
on the appliance.
This appliance must only be connected and installed by the power connector provided by
the qualified plumber or service agent.
CHECK THE DIMENSIONS OF THE TOILET AND THE SPACE OF INSTALLING THE
PRODUCT
Make sure the installation site has at least 880 mm width and 1200 mm depth for installation
and maintenance.

INSTALLATION OF PRODUCT
CONNECTION OF WATER SUPPLY
● Before installing the water inlet pipe, make sure the original water faucets are
uninstalled and the water inlet valves are closed.
● From the back view of the device, the pipe on the left hand side is hot water inlet pipe,
the pipe on the right hand side is cold water inlet pipe. Connect them with the
corresponding water supply using wrench. DO NOT connect the hot water pipe to the
right side or the cold to the left, otherwise this product will not function normally.
INSTALLATION OF ELECTRICAL PART
(PLEASE PREPARE ACCESSORIES B AND C)
1. CONNECT THE REMOTE CONTROL ON THE MACHINE
a. Connect the socket of remote control according to the picture shown below and
place the remote control to the remote control stand.

2. CONNECT THE 13A 220V POWER SOCKET
Reminder: Before connecting power to the power socket, it is highly recommended that all
electricity supply is shut off and that an independent switch for the power socket is installed
beforehand

DEVICE TESTING
1. TURN ON THE MAIN POWER SUPPLY AND THE WATER INLET VALVES
2. TURN ON THE DEVICE
When the device is turned on, you can hear two long beeps and two short beeps sound. And
the display on remote control will be blinking.
3. PRESS “STANDBY” BUTTON TO CHECK IF ALL NOZZLES HAVE WATER COMING OUT
This process will finish within 1 minute.
4. PRESS “START/TIME+” BUTTON TO CONFIRM THE BATHING PROGRAM CAN
FUNCTION NORMALLY
After pressing the stated buttons, the bathing program will start after 5 seconds.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
PREPARATION
Open hot and cold water supplies and water heater, ensure they operate properly. Please
allow enough time for heating up water before using Sit & Shower if you are using storage
tank water heater.
Warm up the device every time before showering or if the device has not been used for a
while. The warm up process takes approximately 30 -60 seconds. If device is beeping after 1
minute, it is an indication that the warm up function cannot finish as the temperature of
incoming hot water supply is lower than the temperature you set. Please check if your water
heater is functioning normally.
CAUTION: Maximum temperature of hot water input allowed is 55°C.
WARNING: To prevent temperature shock, the device should be warmed up before using the
handheld shower or before a user sits on it. WARNING: To avoid resident infection and
contamination of the device, disinfect the device and the shower chair after initial set up and
ALWAYS disinfect the device and the shower chair AFTER each use.
SHOWER GEL & SHAMPOO
Clear bottles are provided with the device for storing shower gel and shampoo. Please do not
fill up the bottle with exfoliating shower gel, or body scrub.
REMOTE CONTROL
When pressing button, please hold for 0.5 second with a bit of force until you hear 1
short beep, it is designed in this way to prevent user accidently pressing any button.
If you press the button too shortly or with not enough force, the remote is not be
able receive the signal.

beeping after 1 minute, it is an indication that the warm up function cannot finish. Please
check if your water heater is functioning normally.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
The device requires regular inspection. Check the device frequently for rips or tearing,
breakage, holes or lost parts and/or non-functioning parts. Check all nuts and bolts are
present and secured and any straps are in a good state of repair. Remove dirt and grease
from the castors and check that the brakes are working effectively. We recommend that a
competent person who is familiar with the product undertakes the regular checks and the
device and the shower chair is removed from normal use when it is clear they are not
functioning correctly or safely. The device should be cleaned regularly and as required. To
clean the device, simply use a mild, nonabrasive liquid detergent solution, and turn on the
self-cleaning function of the device. Do not use a bleach solution. To do so invalidates your
guarantee. Use a recommended disinfection solution with the chair. Follow the instructions
on the bottle for the correct dilution. The device should be rinsed in plain water after
cleaning and disinfection. Advice: Do not use any aggressive cleaning materials or hard
brushes. To do so may invalidate your guarantee.
WATER MAINTENANCE
To reduce the risk of contracting a waterborne illness (e.g. an infection, bacteria or virus)
and/or respiratory ailments, maintain water quality within specified limits. This will enhance
your enjoyment and prolong the life of the device.
Water maintenance requires regular attention on balancing several factors regarding water
chemistry.
WATER pH CONTROL
it is important to maintain the input shower water at a slightly alkaline condition of 7.4 to 7.6
pH. Problems become proportionately severe the further outside of this range the water gets.
A low pH may be corrosive to metals in the device. A high pH may cause minerals to deposit
on the interior surface (scaling).
DEVICE SANITIZATION & AUTO-DISINFECTION FUNCTION
To destroy bacteria and organic compounds on the device surface and in the water pipes,
device disinfection should be done regularly. Device should be sanitized before using for the
first time and after every use.
Failure to clean the device can cause cross contamination. User can manually sanitize the
device or use the automatic disinfection function of the device.
To use the automatic disinfection function, first add sanitizer to the sanitizer bottle on the
device and activate the disinfection function, device will automatically:

3. Rinse off sanitizer with water
During the auto-disinfection cycle, device will keep beeping for warning user the disinfection
function is on. WARNING: To avoid eye or skin irritation, Do NOT be anywhere near the device
during auto-disinfection cycle.
User should always check the sanitizer bottle to make sure there’s enough sanitizer. The user is
responsible for selecting the correct sanitizer and employing the correct concentration to the
sanitizer.
WARNING: To prevent residue of sanitizer, DO NOT stop the device during auto-disinfection
cycle and please ensure the disinfection cycle is complete.
WARNING: User should check frequently and use their best judgement to ensure the device is
clean for use and free from cross-contamination. Automatic disinfection function alone
cannot guarantee good device hygiene. It also depends on the sanitizer used, sanitizer
concentration and other factors all affect the device hygiene level. A clean environment
and good hygiene practice are also essential.

LIMITED WARRANTY
Automation for Humanity Limited (the “Company”) provides limited warranty to the original
purchaser of this Product against defects in material or workmanship for a period of 365 days
from the initial date of delivery. If this Product is determined to be defective, the Company
will repair or replace the Product, at its sole discretion, at no additional charge. This same
Warranty Period applies to all replacement or repaired Products. After the Warranty Period,
you must pay for all Product servicing including parts, labour and shipping charges.
This limited warranty does not cover defects, damage or failure caused by user, installer, or
other persons, pets, or rodents, or resulting from, without limitation, any of the following:
careless handling including its own negligence; modification of any type for any reason
(including modification to meet local codes); improper installation; connections supplied by
the installer of the equipment; improper voltage supply or unauthorized electrical
modification; unreasonable or improper use, falls from a height; incorrect operation, or lack
of proper routine maintenance; operation of the unit without specified minimum amount of
water or at inappropriate water temperature; use of abrasive or improper cleaners; or
natural disasters, such as lightning, floods, earthquakes, etc. this limited warranty does not
apply to the Product surfaces( i.e., discoloration, scratches or wear and tear arising from
use).
In addition, the company will not be responsible for incidental or consequential damages or
losses arising from any cause (e.g., water damage to carpet, ceiling, tiles, marble, loss of use,
etc.) including its own negligence; damages to, respecting, or resulting from: optional bath
equipment not manufactured by the Company but supplied by dealer, installer or the
Company; the unit's prior usage as an operational display; or defects that should have been
discovered before installation.
This limited warranty does not include: labor, transportation, or other costs incurred in the
removal and/or reinstallation of the original unit and/or installation of a replacement unit;
any costs relating to obtaining access for repair; or loss of use damage, including loss of
sales, profit or business advantage of any kind under any circumstances. Units are excluded
from any warranty coverage if any addition, deletion, or modification of any kind
whatsoever has been made to the unit (or to any component). The warranty is void if the
ownership or original installation location is changed (device is relocated). Warranty
coverage is provided in Hong Kong or its territory of purchase.
