Overview
CO Alarm (SWM816A) adopts electrochemical sensors, is used to detect
carbon monoxide gas generated when fuels such as coal are not fully burned, and
inform users in time to avoid the occurrence of poisoning caused by the
accumulation of carbon monoxide.
If a CO Alarm which is added to BASE intelligent security system (gateway) has
detected carbon monoxide, its own will be issued a high-decibel alarm tone, the
intelligent gateway will also send out alarm immediately and push this message to a
smart terminal such as a smart phone in time.
If a CO Alarm which is added to ganged alarm system has detected carbon
monoxideits own will be issued a high-decibel alarm tone and the alarm devices in the same system will also send out alarm.

Installation instruction
4.1 Installation location
• Recommended to locate 1~3 meter away from fuel burning appliances.
• Install in a bedroom or hallway located close to the sleeping area. Take special care
to verify the alarm can be heard in sleeping areas
• Placing at eye level allows you for optimum monitoring of the red and green indicator.
• Insure that all vents of the unit are unobstructed.
• Place out of the reach of children. Under no circumstance should children be allowed
to handle the CO alarm.
• CO alarm is recommended to be installed on each level of a multilevel home.
4.2 Inadmissible installation location
• Do not install in dead air spaces such as peaks of vaulted ceilings, or gabled roofs.
• Do not install in turbulent air from ceiling fans.
• Do not place near fresh air vents or close to doors and windows.
• Keep the CO alarm away from excessively dusty, dirty, or greasy areas such as
kitchens, garages and furnace rooms.
• Do not place behind curtains or furniture.
• Do not place near metal objects, otherwise it will affect the distance of wireless signal
transmission.
4.3 Installation method

Select a suitable installation location and ensure that no hidden objects such as
wires or water pipes in the wall.
Drill two holes of 5mm in diameter in the mounting position referring to the screw
holes spacing on the bracket, see Figure 1.
Plug the 2 plastic plugs in the kit into the hole.
Fix the bracket to the wall with 2 screws in the kit, taking care to tighten the screws.
Connect the alarm on the bracket.
