Changing your Audio settings…

When the CN-133 USB Internet phone is connected to your PC, Windows redirects all
Audio to the CN-133. This can cause problems if you want to play music or watch a movie
when the Internet Phone is connected to a USB port. A solution to this problem is to
simply remove the Internet Phone from you USB-port, but it’s also possible to change the
‘default soundcard’ in the Windows Control Panel. This way, the Internet Phone can still
be connected to your computer while you watch a movie or listen to music. This Manual
Addendum will show how to change the default sound card setting.
Changing settings in Control Panel
To change you default soundcard, first go to START > (Settings) > Control Panel.
Please open ‘Sounds and Audio Devices’, and open the tab ‘Audio’.

On this page, the default Audio devices are given. Please check ‘Sound Playback
and ‘Sound Recording’; if the ‘USB Audio Device’ is selected, please choose your
own soundcard for both Playback and Recording. After this, click ’OK’.
To make sure Skype is still using the USB Internet Phone, please follow these steps:
Start Skype by double clicking on the icon in the system tray.
Click ‘Tools’ in the menu-bar, and select ‘Options’. In the Skype-Setting screen,
select ‘Sound Devices’, and make sure the ‘USB Audio Device’ is selected.
