Sitecom USB2.0 to VGA adapter CN-105
Thank you very much for purchasing this USB 2.0 VGA Adapter The USB 2.0 VGA Adapter is an external VGA adapter which can be connected to a PC or Notebook via a USB 2.0-port. This makes it possible to connect two monitors to the same PC, or use a normal monitor with your Notebook.

1. Software and Hardware Installation
NOTE: Install the software before you connect
the VGA Adapter to the USB 2.0-port!
1.1 Software-installation for Windows 2000 & XP
Insert the installation CD in the CD-ROM station and double-click on "My Computer", then on the pictogram of the CD-ROM station and then on the file CN105_4.00.040317.exe.
The InstallShield Wizard is started.
Select the language for this installation.
Click on "Next" to continue.
Make sure that the USB 2.0 VGA Adapter is not connected to the PC. Click on
"Next" to continue.

For Windows XP, a message about a missing digital signature (logo-test) will appear twice. Click on "Continue Anyway" to continue the installation.
Select the option to restart the computer and click on "Finish"
Click on "Finish" to complete the software-installation. The computer is restarted.

1.2 Hardware-installation for Windows 2000
During the installation, the screen could flash a number of times. This is normal.
Once the computer has restarted, you should connect the USB 2.0 VGA Adapter to
a free USB 2.0 port. Windows will then detect new hardware.
The hardware is installed automatically.
Click on "Finish" to continue.
Select “Yes” to restart the computer
See chapter 2 for instructions on how to use the CN-105.

1.3 Hardware-installation for Windows XP
During the installation, the screen could flash a number of times. This is normal.
Once the computer has restarted, connect the USB 2.0 VGA Adapter to a free USB
2.0 port. Windows will then detect new hardware.
Once the USB 2.0 to VGA adapter CN-105 has been found, select the option to "Install the software automatically (Recommended)" and click on "Next".
Click on "Continue Anyway"
Click on "Finish" to continue.

The USB2.0 to VGA adapter CN-105 will be found again. Select "Install the software automatically (Recommended)" and click on "Next".
Click on "Continue Anyway"
Click on "Finish" to continue.

2. Using the adapter
After you have successfully installed the adapter an icon will appear in the toolbar on which you can click with the right mouse button.
There are four options in the first menu:
o USB-VGA (Primary) The monitor which is connected to the Sitecom USB
2.0 to VGA adapter CN-105 is the primary monitor. The Desktop is extended to the second monitor. If you only wish to use the monitor which is on the Sitecom USB 2.0 to VGA adapter CN-105, you must switch your original VGA adapter off in the Screen properties.
o USB-VGA (Extend) In this mode, the original monitor is the primary
monitor and the desktop is extended to the monitor which is connected to the Sitecom USB 2.0 to VGA adapter CN-105
o USB-VGA (Off) In this mode, the monitor which is connected to the
Sitecom USB 2.0 to VGA adapter CN-105 is switched off and only the original monitor works.
o Pixels This enables you to set the resolution and the colour depth of the
monitor which is connected to the Sitecom USB 2.0 to VGA adapter CN-
105. The maximum resolution and colour depth is 1024*768 for 16 bits colour. This is determined by the maximum bandwidth of the USB 2.0 port (480 Mbps)
