Step 2: Choose your radio-specic dock adapter
The Xpress dock adapter is already installed in the Compact Sound System for use with the following radios: Xpress, XpressEZ, XpressR, XpressRC, and your MiRGE™ radio.
If later you wish to use another radio, you must replace the Xpress dock adapter with the appropriate one for your satellite radio. The name of each dock adapter is molded into the bottom surface of each one; turn the dock adapter over to see the name.

3 In major metropolitan areas, it may be possible to receive both the SIRIUS and XM
signals on your radio with the home antenna indoors. Just set the antenna on a at surface near a south facing-window and open the antenna clamshell so that it is half way between the horizontal and vertical positions (see Figure 1 below).

4 In most parts of the country, however, to get both the SIRIUS and XM signals on your
MiRGE™ radio, you will need to place the home antenna outdoors, with a clear unobstructed view of the sky in all directions. This means that there should not be any buildings, shrubs, trees, roof overhangs, or anything else obstructing the antenna’s view of the sky.
You can place the home antenna on a at surface with the antenna looking straight up (A, in Figure 2), or you can attach it to a at surface using four screws (sold separately) and the mounting points on the base with the antenna having a straight up view of the sky (B, in Figure 2).
The durable, weather-resistant antenna comes with a hinged base and 20 feet of cable to allow you to place and mount it in various outdoor locations. If additional cable length is needed, you can use the included 50 ft. home antenna extension cable to extend the reach of the antenna.

2 Plug the other end into any 110 - 120V wall outlet or power outlet.
Step 6: Turn it on
1 Press the power button on the Sound System.
2 Turn on your radio.
TIP! For some radio models, you can enable the Auto-ON
feature for ease of use. Refer to your radio’s menu settings and User Guide for instructions. The Helix, inno and XMp3
need to be powered down manually.

Step 7: Listen
1 This Sound System was designed to work with a wide range of radios. You may need to adjust the audio “Line Out Level” in the menu options of your radio to achieve optimal performance from this sound system. Please see your radio user guide for additional information on this adjustment.
2 Use the volume buttons on the Sound System or remote control to adjust the sound level.
3 To control both your radio and Sound System use the remote that is included with your sound system. (see page 13)
If desired, plug in headphones to the phones jack. Use the volume buttons on the Sound System to control the headphone volume.
Your Sound System has an aux in jack for connecting CD or MP3 players using a Aux In cable (sold separately). Once you have a device plugged in, press the aux button to switch from satellite radio mode to aux in mode. The LED on the button will be on when in aux in mode.

Placement
Do not place the Sound System or satellite radio near heat sources or in direct sunlight. Do not place the Sound System on an inclined or unstable surface, in areas of excessive dust, or areas prone to mechanical shock. Do not block the speakers or ventilation ports.
Because the speakers contain powerful magnets, keep credit cards, mechanical watches, and other devices that might be aected away from the Sound System.
Cleaning
DANGER! Unplug the AC power adapter during the cleaning to avoid any electrical shock hazard.
Clean the hard surfaces of the Sound System with a soft cloth slightly moistened with a mild detergent solution.
Clean the soft surfaces of the speakers with a dry lint brush.
Do not use any type of abrasive pad, scouring powder, or solvent, such as alcohol or benzene.
