Greater efficiency is achieved by means of the high, constant capturing rate and up to
2000 exposures with a single battery charge.
Greatest possible mobility thanks to its very low weight.
Perfect exposures by means of three modes: Spot-, center-weighted multi-zones-
and integral metering.
Individual composition made possible by Aperture-Priority,
Shutter-Speed-Priority, or Automatic Program exposure
modes plus metered manual settings.
Optional Revolving Adapter for securely changing
from landscape to portrait format.
The Sinar Hy6 System evolved from the unique combination of the Sinar System Technology with highest performance components made in Germany.

Workflow-oriented. From the Classic to the Innnovative.
As a long established and experienced partner of professional photographers, Sinar is thoroughly aware of the requirements for creative and simultaneously efficient work on a daily basis.
Based on that competent experience, we proudly present the innovative Sinar Hy6 System as a compatible unit for individual integration with components that are optimally tailored to one another. A system that consists of a comprehensive array of lenses, fast high-performance digital backs, software that can readily be used intuitively, as well as worldwide warranties and service performance by Sinar. The new medium-format camera itself is the centerpiece and the heart of the system.
Sinar Hy6 System, this means:
The Best of Two Worlds
The Sinar Hy6 System is a hybrid system that offers the choice of digital or analog imaging, rectangular
4.5 x 6 cm or square 6x 6 cm. By rotating the digital back or the film magazine, portrait or landscape
formats can be set without affecting the camera position.
Optimal Image Quality
The most important criterion in professional photography will always be image quality. In addition to
color fidelity and the natural rendition of skin tones, people- and fashion photography also requires
perfect sharpness in the right place. This is assured by the fast and accurate autofocus system of the
Sinar Hy6 and also by its very low-vibration mirror reflex mechanism and its vibration-free between-
the-lens shutter. With its fastest shutter speed of 1/1000 sec, this shutter is the fastest one in its class.
The fastest flash synch speed of 1/1000 second freezes fast movements
and prevents motion blur.
Practice-oriented Battery Operation
The dual battery concept provides an extraordinarily long period of
operation in the battery-operated mode. Image data can be stored
internally or directly on the hard disk of a computer. With the
Sinar Hy6-e75, for example, up to 500 images can be stored in
the digital back – without a computer connection!
With the Sinar Hy6 System, color fidelity and natural skin tones are taken for granted.

Ready for the Future
The Sinar Hy6 is currently the only digital camera on the market that can be used with formats up to
6x6 cm. It is already equipped to accommodate future sensors with dimensions of up to 56x 56 mm.
Optional Revolving Adapter
The optional Revolving Adapter makes it possible to switch from a landscape to portrait format without
having to remove the back from the camera. This meets the important need of photographers to be ready
for the fast and sometimes hectic moments in mobile photography.
Everything in Clear View
Thanks to the built-in LC display in the adjustable grip with the control panel, camera settings can
always be read very conveniently and at the same angle of view. The menu structure of the new
operating concept was designed with a flat hierarchy and all the main settings can also be made by
means of direct-acting mechanical operating controls. The remarkable new possibilities offered by the
Sinar Hy6 System enable photographers to work much more dynamically: new angles of view and
new perspectives can be set up easily and professionally.
Great Flexibility
In order to view the image of the subject conveniently in every
shooting situation, both a waist-level- and a 90º
reflex viewfinder are available. The camera’s
grip can easily be rotated to the most ergo-
nomic position for either viewing set-up.
Special Highlights for Professional
Photographers
Focus Trap, Focus Bracketing and an Ultra-fast
Mode! The innovative Focus trap automatically
triggers the shutter as soon as there is move-
ment within the pre-focused range. With Focus
Bracketing, 5 exposures are automatically made
in sequence and the plane of sharpness is
shifted before each exposure. And “Ultra-Fast” is
a shutter release mode that allows the photographer to
time the instant of the release of the shutter within milli-
seconds.
The Sinar Hy6 System is a digital medium-format camera system with an ingeniously flexible architecture designed to be compatible with future innovations. That makes the investment in a Sinar Hy6 System all the more attractive and exciting to every serious professional photographer.

Everything Under Control. Perfection Down to the Smallest Detail.
The logical compatibility of all system components is a great advantage for the photographer. The Sinar Hy6 System utilizes all the possibilities that the professional sensor format offers the creative photographer. This system gives photographers much greater versatility, enables them to work faster, more efficiently and more economically than ever before. The remote control and automation capabilities of the Sinar Hy6 System go far beyond the status quo and they constitute the system’s enormous photographic versatility.
System Control Via Computer
Whether a computer is used or the control elements on the camera, the system is completely under
control at all times. Every setting that can be made right on the camera can also be made by means of the
exposure software. Thus the camera system can be controlled completely from a computer. Changes in the
settings are synchronized between the camera and the computer, so that operating errors are prevented.
Thus even difficult reproduction shots can be made quickly and easily.
Sinar eXposureTM– The Tool for Professionals
The Sinar eXposureTMsoftware is a newly developed tool that offers every advantage for a professional
workflow. Sinar eXposure
TM
provides the highest possible efficiency for capturing, processing and export-
ing digital images. In addition, standardized file formats (DNG) allow seamless integration into the
modern realm of professional digital photography.
The Sinar Hy6 System enables the highest resolution for sharp scrutiny of the very smallest details.

Correspondingly, the accessories are also judiciously designed to meet the challenges of daily needs. The flexibility of the Sinar Hy6 System is superbly suited for every photographic task, be it in the studio, in outdoor applications, in reproduction, or in the macro and micro range.
