General Safety
Carefully read and understand this manual and any label attached to
the tool before use. Keep these instructions with the product for future
reference. Ensure all persons who use this product are fully acquainted
with this manual.
Even when used as prescribed it is not possible to eliminate all residual risk
factors. Use with caution. If you are at all unsure of the correct and safe
manner in which to use this tool, do not attempt to use it.
Keep guards in position
• Where guards exist keep them in position, in good working order,
correctly adjusted and aligned. Never attempt to use a tool if any of
the supplied guards are missing. If any guards are damaged, replace
before use
Remove adjusting keys
• Where adjusting keys exist, ensure they are removed prior to using the
tool. Always check to see that keys and adjusting devices are removed
from the tool before use
Clean the work area
• Accidents can occur where benches and work areas are cluttered or
dirty. Keep floors clear and avoid working where the floor is slippery. If
working outdoors, be aware of all potential slip and trip hazards before
using this tool
Trained, competent persons
• This tool should be used by trained, competent persons only
Children and pets
• Keep children and pets at a safe distance from the work area. Lock tools

Keep your balance
• Do not over-reach. Keep secure footing at all times and do not use tools
when standing on an unstable surface
Accessories
• The use of any attachment or accessory, other than those mentioned in
this manual, could be dangerous and result in damage or injury, and may
invalidate your warranty
Never stand on your tool
• Standing on your tool or its stand could cause serious injury if the tool
is tipped or collapses. Do not store materials above or close to the tool
in such a way that a person might stand on the tool to reach the stored
items
Secure work
• Where possible, always secure work. If appropriate, use a clamp or vice
so that both hands are free to operate the tool
Check for damaged or missing parts
• Before each use, check if any part of the tool is damaged or missing.
Carefully check that it will operate properly and perform its intended
function. Check alignment of moving parts for binding. Any guard or other
part that is damaged should be immediately repaired or replaced by an

Electrical Safety
Dangerous environment
• Do not use power tools in damp or wet conditions, or expose them to
rain. Provide adequate surrounding work space and keep the area well
lit. Do not use power tools where there is a risk of explosion or fire from
combustible material, flammable liquids, flammable gases, or dust of
an explosive nature. When using power tools, avoid contact with any
earthed items such as pipes, radiators, cookers, refrigerators, metal
baths and taps
Protect yourself from vibration
• Hand-held power tools may produce vibration. Vibration can cause
disease. Gloves may help to maintain good blood circulation in the
fingers. Hand-held tools should not be used for long periods without a
break
Maintain your power tool
• Ensure all ventilation holes are kept clear at all times, otherwise
overheating and fire may occur
Always disconnect
• Before changing fittings or accessories, always disconnect the tool from
the power source
Switch off before connecting
• Ensure the power tool is switched off before connecting to the power
source. If the power tool stops unexpectedly, turn the power switch to
OFF
Do not abuse the power cable
• Be sure the cable / extension cable is in good condition. Always have
a damaged cable / extension cable replaced at an authorised service
centre before using. Never pull the cable to disconnect it from the power
socket. Never carry the tool by its cable. Keep the cable away from damp,
heat, oil, solvents, and sharp edges
Do not modify the power tool
• Do not modify the power tool in any way as this could result in serious
injury and may invalidate its guarantee
Do not leave the tool running unattended
• Always wait until the tool has completely stopped functioning and has
been unplugged before leaving it unattended
Fitting cutting tools
• Ensure cutting tools are correctly and securely fitted and check that
wrenches / adjusters are removed prior to use
• Only use cutting tools recommended for your machine
• Do not attempt to modify cutting tools
Direction of feed
• Always feed work into the blade or cutter against the direction of
movement of the blade or cutter
Beware of heat
• Be aware that cutting tools and workpieces may become hot in use. Do
not attempt to change tools until they have been allowed to cool fully
Foreign objects
• Fully inspect cutting material for any form of foreign bodies before
cutting.
• Do not attempt to cut material that contains foreign bodies unless you
know that the cutting tool fitted to your machine is suitable for the job
Hidden objects
• Beware of hidden objects. Walls may conceal wiring and piping, car body
panels may conceal fuel lines, and long grass may conceal stones and
glass. Always check the work area thoroughly before proceeding
Control dust / swarf
• Do not allow dust or swarf to build up. Saw dust is a fire hazard, and
some metal swarf is explosive
• Be especially careful with machines used to cut wood and metal. Sparks
from metal cutting are a common cause of wood dust fires
• Where possible, use a dust extraction system to ensure a safer working
environment
Cutting Tool Safety
Use the correct cutting tool
• Ensure the cutting tool is suitable for the job. Do not assume a tool is
suitable without checking the product literature before use.
Protect your eyes
• Always wear proper eye protection when using cutting tools
• Everyday glasses are not designed to offer any protection when using
this product; normal lenses are not impact resistant and could shatter
Protect your breathing
• Ensure that yourself, and others around you, wear suitable dust masks
• It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that other people in the
vicinity of the work area are not exposed to dangerous noise or dust and
are also provided with suitable protective equipment
Beware of projected waste
• In some situations, waste material may be projected at speed from the
cutting tool. Ensure there are no other persons within the work area. If it
is necessary to have other persons nearby, it is the user’s responsibility to
make sure that they are equipped with the correct protective equipment

• Carefully unpack and inspect your tool. Fully familiarise yourself with all
its features and functions
• Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If
any parts are missing or damaged, have such parts replaced before
attempting to use this tool
Assembling your tile cutter
1. Attach the Feet (16) by pushing into fixing holes at each corner of the
base of the Main Body (1)
2. Attach Guard Support Bracket (3) to the Main Body (1), using the Guard
Support Retaining Screws (4). (See Fig B)
3. Fit the Disc Assembly
WARNING: Wear safety gloves at all times when handling the Cutting
Disc (8)
a) Thread the Spacer (6) over the Spindle (7) as shown in Fig C
b) Thread the Cutting Disc (8) over the Spindle (7) onto the central
raised profile on the Spacer (6)
c) Ensure the cutting disc rotates in the same direction as the arrow
printed on the disc
d) Thread the Large Washer (9) over the Spindle (7); ensure the flat
side is facing towards the disc
e) Thread the Nut (10) onto the Spindle (7) and tighten so that the disc
is held firmly in place. Use the Nut Spanner (11) and Spindle Spanner
(12) as shown in Fig. D, to tighten the Nut (10), but do not overtighten.
(The rotation of the disc and cutting action will further tighten the nut
over time, and you will eventually need to be able to loosen it in order
to replace the disc)
4. Attach the Disc Cover (14) using the small Disc Cover Screws and
Washers (15)
a) The disc cover flanges allow for adjustment of fixing position
b) When fixed in place, ensure that no part of the disc cover touches
the edge of the cutting disc, and that the disc rotates freely
5. Attach the Table (17)
a) Thread table over the Guard Support Bracket (3) and the edge of the
Cutting Disc (8) and onto the locating lugs (see Fig A & E)
b) Place Washers (21) onto the threads of the Adjustment Knobs (20)
and screw into the locating holes to fasten the table
6. Attach the Guard (2)
a) Place the fixing point of the guard (see Fig A) over the Guard Support
Bracket (3) so that the fixing holes are aligned
b) Insert the thread of the Guard Adjustment Knob (5) and screw
clockwise through the fixing holes to fasten
7. Attach the Fence (19)
a) Place the Fence (19) onto the Table (17), parallel to the Cutting Disc
(8), so that the fixing flanges hang over either end of the table (17)
b) One at a time, fit the Fixing/Adjustment Knobs (20) to fasten the
fence (see Fig F). To do this place the Washer (21) onto the thread of
the Adjustment Knob (20). Then hold the Fixing Plate (22) in place on
the inside of the fence fixing flange, ensuring that the curved edge
is at the top, facing inwards, so that the flat side of the fixing plate is
against the fixing flange. Align the fixing holes and inser the thread
of the Adjustment Knob (20). Screw clockwise to fasten.
8. Position Water Tray (13)
a) With the Table (17) securely fixed to the Main Body (1), lift the unit to
position the Water Tray (13) so that it is under the Disc Cover (14),
as shown in Fig A.

Using your tile cutter
Preparation
1. Place the machine on a flat level surface
2. Before you connect the machine to the power supply, ensure that it is
turned off. Press the red ‘Off’ button marked ‘O’ (18)
3. Check that the disc assembly is secure, and properly adjusted (see
Assembling your tile cutter)
4. Ensure the Cutting Disc (8) is correctly screened by the Guard (2)
WARNING: Never operate the tile cutter without the Guard (2) in place
5. Pour water into the Water Tray (13) to a level that ensures the lower
edge of the Cutting Disc (8) is immersed in the water
Adjusting the Guard
1. Adjust the Guard (2) so that it is just above the surface of the tile
2. Loosen the Guard Adjustment Knob (5)
3. Position Guard (2) as needed
4. Retighten the Guard Adjustment Knob (5)
Adjusting the Fence
1. Slacken the two Adjustment Knobs (20) and slide the Fence (19) to the
required position. Use the rulers on the face of the table to align both
sides of the fence
2. Retighten the two Adjustment Knobs (20)
Switching on and off
1. To switch the machine on: Press the green button marked ‘I’ (18)
2. To switch the machine off: Press the red button marked ‘O’ (18)
NOTE: The cutting disc will start turning immediately you press the green
button. When you press the red button the machine will switch off, but the
cutting disc will continue to rotate for a short time. Allow the disc to stop by
itself. Do not attempt to stop the cutting disc by exerting pressure on the
side of the disc.
Cutting
NOTE: It is strongly recommended that you make a test cut on scrap
material to check machine settings are correct for the cutting task at hand
• Only use this machine to cut tile, stone, concrete, roof tiles or similar
products.
• Do not stand in line with the Cutting Disc (8) when in use
• Do not attempt to make cuts that exceed the maximum cutting depth of
the disc (34mm)
• Do not start cutting before the machine reaches full speed
• Never attempt to cut extremely small pieces of material
WARNING: Never touch the moving cutting disc
Cutting straight edges
• Place the workpiece against the Fence (19)
• Applying gentle and even pressure to the outside edge of the workpiece,
guide the workpiece into the Cutting Disc (8)
• If the disc does not cut smoothly or evenly, or if you find you need to
apply force to make the cut, check alignment of the Fence (19), Guard (2)
and Guard Support Bracket (3)
NOTE: If cutting remains uneven, or you need to apply force, the most likely
cause will be a worn cutting disc; In such case, replace the cutting disc
(see Maintenance)
Cutting 45º angles
1. Position Mitre Guide (23) on the Table (17) so that the long side is
against the Fence (19)
2. Position the workpiece in the jaws of the Mitre Guide (23)
3. Fix the Fence (19) at the position for the depth of cut required
4. Applying gentle and even pressure to the Mitre Guide (23) and
workpiece, guide the workpiece into the Cutting Disc (8)
Cutting raking angles 0 - 45º
1. Loosen the table Fixing/Adjustment Knobs (20)
2. Tilt the Table (17), using the angle gauges to locate and fix the table at
the angle required
3. Retighten the table Fixing/Adjustment Knobs (20)
4. Check that the Table (17) is securely fixed at the angle required
5. Proceed with cut (as detailed above, in cutting straight edges)
During the work period
• Regularly check that the lower edge of the Cutting Disc (8) is well
below the water level in the cooling Water Tray (13); add more water as
necessary
• Do not perform any design, assembly or construction activities on the
Table (17) while the machine is switched on
• Do not subject the tile cutter to prolonged, uninterrupted periods of use.
After 10 minutes usage, rest the tile cutter for 5 minutes to prevent heat
overload
After use
• Do not leave the work area until the machine has been switched off and
the Cutting Disc (8) has come to a complete standstill
• Unplug the machine
• Empty the Water Tray (13) and rinse clean
• Clean the unit in accordance with cleaning instructions (see Cleaning)
Cleaning
• Use only mild soap and a slightly damp cloth to clean the tile cutter. DO
NOT use petrol, lacquer, paint thinners or similar products
• Never allow liquid inside the tile cutter; never immerse any part of the
tile cutter in liquid
• Keep the tile cutter free from oil and grease
• Regularly clean the ventilation slots
• Regularly remove grindings from the Disc Cover (14) and the guard

Maintenance
• Always unplug the machine, and allow to cool fully, before performing
any cleaning/maintenance
• Regularly check the machine for possible damage. Never use the tile
cutter if any of the parts appear worn or broken. Any worn or broken part
must be replaced. Use only original spare parts with this machine
• Do not attempt to alter any of the components of this tool. To do so
would not only INVALIDATE YOUR WARRANTY, BUT MAY ALSO RESULT IN
DAMAGE TO THE UNIT, YOURSELF OR OTHERS IN THE VICINITY.
Replacing the Cutting Disc
NOTE: Use only continuous rim diamond cutting discs, minimum diameter
250mm, arbor hole 22.2mm.
Accessing the disc
1. Remove Disc Cover (14)
2. Remove Guard (2)
3. Remove Table (17)
Releasing the worn disc
1. Wearing safety gloves, hold the Cutting Disc (8) in place – take care
not to touch cutting edge
2. Loosen nut: Fit nut Spanner (11) over Nut (10) and turn counter-
clockwise to loosen nut. Hold spindle in place with Spindle Spanner
(12)
3. Remove Nut (10) and Large Washer (9)
4. Remove and set aside the worn disc for disposal. Dispose of safely in
accordance with regulations
Fitting the new disc
1. Thread new disc over Spindle (7) onto central raised profile of Spacer
(6)
2. Thread Large Washer (9) over Spindle (7); ensure flat side is facing
towards the Cutting Disc (8)
3. Thread Nut (10) onto Spindle (7) and tighten so that disc is held firmly
in place
NOTE: You can use the Nut Spanner (11) and Spindle Spanner (12) as shown
in Fig. D to tighten the Nut (10), but do not overtighten. (The rotation of the
disc and cutting action will further tighten the nut over time, and you need
to be able to undo it in order to replace the disc)
4. Refit Disc Cover (14). Ensure that, when fixed in place, no part of the
disc cover touches the edge of the cutting disc, and that the Cutting
Disc (8) rotates freely
5. Refit Table (17) and Guard (2)
6. Carry out a no load test for approximately 1 minute. Check there is
no vibration
Storage
• Before putting this unit in storage allow the motor to cool properly
• Clean the unit in accordance with cleaning instructions
• Store the tile cutter in a clean, dry place away from heat and direct
sunlight. Ensure that the tile cutter is stored where children cannot get
access to it
Disposal
• Do not dispose of power tools, or other waste electrical and electronic
equipment, with household waste
• Contact your local waste disposal authority for information on the correct
way to dispose of tools

Carriage will not be refunded. Items for return must be in a suitably clean and

injury during transportation. We may reject unsuitable or
unsafe deliveries.
All work will be carried out by Silverline Tools or its authorized
repair agents.
The repair or replacement of the product will not extend the period
of guarantee
Defects recognised by us as being covered by the guarantee shall be
corrected by means of repair of the tool, free of charge (excluding carriage

Protégez-vous des vibrations
• Les outils électriques portatifs produisent des vibrations. Les vibrations
peuvent provoquer des maladies. En conservant la chaleur, des gants
portés par l’utilisateur peuvent lui permettre de maintenir une bonne
circulation sanguine dans les doigts. Les outils portatifs ne doivent pas
être utilisés pendant de longues périodes sans marquer une pause
Entretenez votre outil électrique
• Assurez-vous que toutes les ouïes de ventilation soient dégagées en
permanence. Dans le cas contraire, il existe un risque de surchauffe et
d’incendie
Débranchez l’outil avant tout changement
• Avant de changer raccords ou accessoires, assurez-vous que l’outil soit
débranché de la source d’alimentation
Outil éteint avant tout branchement
• Assurez-vous que l’appareil soit en position éteinte avant de le brancher
à la source d’alimentation. Si l’outil électrique s’arrête inopinément, faites
passer l’interrupteur sur la position d’arrêt
Ménagez le cordon d'alimentation
• Assurez-vous que le cordon et la rallonge éventuelle soient en bon
état. Faites remplacer le cordon et la rallonge endommagés par un
centre d’entretien agréé avant de les utiliser. Ne tirez pas sur le cordon
d’alimentation pour le débrancher de la prise secteur. Ne portez jamais
l’outil par le cordon. Veillez à ce que le cordon ne soit pas exposé à
l’humidité, la chaleur, l’huile, les solvants et les bords tranchants
Ne modifiez pas l’outil
• Ne tentez pas de modifier l’outil. Toute tentative de modification de l’outil
pourrait entraîner des blessures graves sur vous-même ou les personnes
se trouvant autour de vous et entraînera une annulation de sa garantie
Ne laissez pas l’outil fonctionner sans surveillance
• Attendez toujours que le moteur de l’outil se soit complètement arrêté et
débranchez l’outil avant de vous en éloigner

Protection oculaire
• Portez toujours des protections oculaires appropriées lors de l’utilisation
d’outils de coupe
• Les lunettes ordinaires n’ont pas pour fonction de fournir une protection
efficace à l’utilisation de ce produit. Des verres normaux ne résistent pas
aux impacts et pourraient voler en éclats
Protection respiratoire
• Assurez-vous de porter, ainsi que toute personne à proximité, un masque
anti-poussière approprié
Protection auditive
• Portez toujours des protections auditives appropriées lorsque le niveau
sonore dépasse 80 dB
Tenez compte des personnes autour de vous
• Il relève de l’utilisateur de s’assurer que les personnes se trouvant à
proximité de la zone de travail ne soient pas exposées à des niveaux
sonores dangereux ou à des concentrations de poussières dangereuses
et sont pourvues de dispositifs de protection appropriés
Attention aux projections de débris
• Dans certains cas, des débris peuvent être projetés à grande vitesse
de l’outil de coupe. Assurez-vous qu’il ne se trouve aucune autre
personne à proximité de la zone de travail. Si la présence d’autres
personnes à proximité de la zone de travail est nécessaire, l’utilisateur a
la responsabilité de s’assurer qu’elles soient munies d’équipements de
protection appropriés
Installation d’accessoires de coupe
• Assurez-vous que les accessoires de coupe soient correctement et
solidement installés avant utilisation et que toute clé ou tout outil de
réglage ait été retiré
• Utilisez uniquement des accessoires de coupe recommandés pour votre
appareil
• N’effectuez aucune modification sur l’accessoire
Sens de coupe
• Faites avancer la pièce de travail vers la lame ou la fraise, et ce à
l’encontre du mouvement de la lame ou de la fraise
Attention à la chaleur
• Sachez que les outils de coupe ainsi que les pièces de travail peuvent
chauffer pendant l’utilisation de l’appareil. Ne tentez pas de changer
d’accessoire tant que l’appareil n’a pas complètement refroidi
Corps étrangers
• Avant d’effectuer une coupe, vérifiez qu’il ne se trouve aucun corps
étranger dans la pièce de travail
• Ne coupez aucun matériau comportant des corps étrangers à moins
d’être certain que l’accessoire installé sur votre appareil convient à ce
travail
Objets cachés
• Faites attention aux objets cachés. Des fils électriques et des tuyaux
peuvent être dissimulés dans les murs, des durites de carburant peuvent
être dissimulées dans les panneaux de carrosserie et l’herbe haute peut
dissimuler des pierres et du verre. Vérifiez toujours minutieusement votre
zone de travail avant de commencer la coupe
Limitation des débris
• Ne laissez pas la poussière ou des copeaux de métal s’accumuler. La
sciure constitue un risque d’incendie et certains copeaux métalliques
sont explosifs
• Faites tout particulièrement attention lors de la coupe du bois ou du
métal à l’aide de machines électriques. Les étincelles provoquées par
la coupe du métal sont une cause courante d’incendie des poussières
de bois
• Lorsque cela est possible, utilisez un système d’extraction de la
poussière pour assurer un environnement de travail plus sûr
