If sound levels are uncomfortable, even with ear protection, stop using the tool immediately and check the ear protection is correctly ﬁtted and provides the correct level of sound attenuation for the level of sound produced by your tool.

WARNING: User exposure to tool vibration can result in loss of sense of touch, numbness, tingling and reduced ability to grip. Long term exposure can lead to a chronic condition. If necessary, limit the length of time exposed to vibration and use anti-vibration gloves. Do not operate the tool with hands below a normal comfortable temperature, as vibration will have a greater effect. Use the ﬁgures provided in the speciﬁcation relating to vibration to calculate the duration and frequency of operating the tool.

Work Area Safety

Electrical Safety

a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in

any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodiﬁed plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of

electric shock

b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as

pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk

of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded

c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a

power tool will increase the risk of electric shock

d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or

unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk

of electric shock

e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord

suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces

the risk of electric shock

f) If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use

a residual current device (RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD

reduces the risk of electric shock

Personal Safety

a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when

operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the inﬂuence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of

inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury

b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection.

Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries

c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-

position before connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your ﬁnger

on the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents

d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool

on. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool

may result in personal injury

e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This

enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations

f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep

your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts

g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and

collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used.

Power Tool Use & Care

a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your

application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the

rate for which it was designed

b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off.

Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired

c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack

from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures

reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally

d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow

persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of

untrained users

e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving

parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power

tools

f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools

with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control

g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance

with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations

different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation

WARNING: When used in Australia or New Zealand, it is recommended

that this tool is ALWAYS supplied via Residual Current Device (RCD) with a rated residual current of 30mA or less.

Service

a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualiﬁed repair person using

only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the

power tool is maintained

Paint Roller System Safety

WARNING: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced, physical or mental capabilities.

• Only carry the pump by the lifting handle. Never carry or lift the pump by its power cable

• This product is not designed for continuous use. Excessive usage will shorten service life and invalidate the warranty

• DO NOT use this pump with liquids other than water/latex-based emulsion paints

• Material suspended in the paint, for example textured coatings, causes increased wear and reduces the pump’s output capacity

• NEVER pump hot water through this pump, and NEVER use the pump when ambient temperatures are close to freezing

• The pump contains dangerous mains voltages. Never remove any part of the casing unless it is meant to be removed for normal use and doesn’t expose the operator to dangerous voltages

• Inspect the power cable and extension cord before every use to ensure they are in good condition. ALWAYS have a damaged power cable replaced by an authorised Silverline service centre.

• NEVER pull the cable to disconnect it from the power socket. NEVER carry the tool by its cable. NEVER touch live power cables or plug sockets with wet hands. Keep the cable away from heat, oil, solvents and sharp edges

• Always paint in a well-ventilated area

• Do not operate the pump unit in the rain. Keep all electrical connections dry. Do not allow the pump to become wet. Never allow water to enter ventilation holes

• Ensure the disposal of paint follows the instructions provided by the manufacturer

• DO NOT allow paint to enter electrical connections while painting

• NEVER leave the device unattended whilst the main switch is turned on

Intended Use

• Portable mains-operated pump system for pumping paint to a paint roller for convenience and an increased work rate. This device is intended for domestic use. It is not suitable for commercial, industrial or rental use.

Unpacking Your Tool

• Carefully unpack and inspect your new sander. Familiarise yourself with all its features and functions

• Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If any parts are missing or damaged, have such parts replaced before attempting to use this tool

Before Use

WARNING: Ensure the tool is disconnected from the power supply before attaching or changing any accessories, or making any adjustments.

IMPORTANT: Do not use solvent (oil)-based paints or textured paints with this paint system. It is only suitable for emulsion (water or latex- based) paints. Paint that requires brushes to be washed in solvents, white spirit or similar, is not suitable for this product.

IMPORTANT: Always refer to the instructions provided with the paint in addition to the instructions provided in this manual, as they may include vital safety points, correct or maximum thinning ratio, and required surface treatment before painting.

Assembly

1. Partly unscrew the Pressure Hose Securing Collar (13) and insert one end of the Long Pressure Hose (9) over the Pressure Hose Nozzle (26), making sure it is fully inserted. Tighten the Pressure Hose Securing Collar. Partly unscrew the securing collar at the base of Roller Frame Handle (2) and insert the other end of the Long Pressure Hose over the nozzle, again making sure it is fully inserted before tightening the securing collar

2. Depending on required length between the Roller Frame Handle and the Paint Roller (6), ﬁt one or two Extensions (4); or for a short length ﬁt the Paint Roller directly to the Roller Frame Handle. Whichever part you wish to remove or add, the procedure is the same. Unscrew the collar, for example the Extension Threaded Collar (5), and separate by pulling the two parts apart. To join two parts insert the connector, for example Extension Connector (3), into the receiving socket of the other extension and secure by tightening the Extension Threaded Collar (5). Do not over-tighten the Collars as this could make removal difﬁcult

3. Fit the Paint Roller (6) to the Roller Frame Handle (2)

4. Connect the open end of the Short Suction Hose (8) to the Suction Hose Nozzle (16) after ﬁrst partially unscrewing the Suction Hose Securing Collar (15) and then re-tightening after the hose has been fully inserted

Preparing for use

1. Prepare the work area, using plastic sheeting and tape, to protect from paint spills or drips

2. Prepare the surface area ready for painting

3. Prepare the paint as per the manufacturer’s instructions - stirring and possibly diluting. Use a paint stirrer that is long enough to reach the very bottom of the paint container

4. Position the paint system and paint pot in a secure position during use, to avoid the risk of the paint being knocked or tipped

5. Submerge the Paint Filter (20) fully in the paint. Set the plastic stop on the Short Suction Hose (8) to the required position so the Paint Filter is at the right depth

IMPORTANT: For the initial draw of paint into the system, keep the unit and the paint at the same level until both tubes are full of paint and the system is correctly primed. The system is now ready to use and the main body can be moved around where necessary. Make sure that the ﬁll tube remains fully submerged at the bottom of the paint container at all times. Failure to do so will result in air being circulated into the system and priming the system will need to be repeated.

IMPORTANT: Never use the Short Suction Hose without the Paint Filter ﬁtted

Operation

WARNING: ALWAYS wear eye protection, adequate respiratory and hearing protection, as well as suitable gloves, when working with this tool.

Switching on and off

1. Turn the Paint Control Switch (12) to the ‘working’ position and set the Flow Rotary Control (21) to the half way position between ‘MIN’ and ‘MAX’

2. Turn the Pump Unit (1) on using the On/Off Switch (11). The paint will take approximately 2 minutes to reach the Paint Roller and is ready to use when the ﬁrst drops of paint appear. Apply paint to the surface area. Adjust the Flow Rotary Control to set the correct level of paint required so an adequate supply of paint is provided without drips falling from the roller. Over time user technique will improve so a faster supply of paint can be used but for initial use a low paint feed rate is recommended

Notes:

• Always ensure the Paint Filter (20) is covered in paint during use. As the paint container empties it may be worthwhile angling the container slightly to allow the very last amount of paint to be pumped. If the paint isn’t feeding successfully the Paint Filter may not be submerged in the paint, or the paint viscosity is too thick and may require diluting.

• Do not over-dilute paint as it will be hard to work with and cause excessive drying time and poor ﬁnish

• The pump unit has a duty cycle of 30 minutes’ pumping and 10 minutes’ cooling. The unit’s thermal cut-out may operate during use and will not function again until the pump motor has cooled; this is not a fault with the unit

• It may be necessary to re-stir the paint container during use

Stopping/starting during use

• To instantly stop the ﬂow of paint to the roller in use press the Stop Button (24) and to resume paint ﬂow press the Release Lever (23)

Pausing during painting

Up to 4 hours

1. Turn off the On/Off Switch (11) and set the Flow Rotary Control (21) to max

2. Insert Paint Roller (6) into a plastic bag and seal so it is airtight

1 to 2 days

1. Place Paint Roller in a bucket of water

2. Wet the paint surface in the paint container with a thin layer of water to prevent a skin from forming

3. Other accessories should be placed in water immediately after use

Replacing the Paint Roller

• Unclip the Paint Roller (6) from the Roller Frame Handle (2). Hold the paint roller ends in each hand and twist in opposite directions to unscrew the centre. Reﬁtting the new paint roller head is the reverse of this procedure. See Fig. A

After Use

1. Press the Stop Button (24)

2. Remove the Paint Roller (6) from its frame by pressing the small plastic lever on one side to allow it to separate

3. Scrape off remaining paint from the Paint Roller over the paint container, then wash thoroughly in luke-warm water

4. Leave the paint roller frame on the edge of the paint container

5. Remove the Short Suction Hose (8) from the paint container and submerge into a second container or basin full of water

6. Press the Release Lever (23) and set the Flow Rotary Control (21) to the mid position so water is pumped through the Long Pressure Hose (9)

7. IMPORTANT: Monitor the ﬂow of water up the hose, making sure the Stop Button is pressed before water or mixed water and paint get into the paint container

8. Move the Paint Roller Frame to an empty container or sink, and continue pumping water until clean water can be seen travelling through the long hose and exiting the paint roller frame for ten minutes operating the Flow Rotary Control up and down to clean the internal valve

9. Remove the Paint Filter (20) and Set the Paint Control Switch to the ‘clean’ position

10. Switch off the unit with the On/Off Switch (11)

11. Unscrew the Suction Hose Securing Collar (15) and remove the Short Suction Hose (8) end from the Suction Hose Nozzle (25). Thoroughly clean the Short Suction Hose and Paint Filter (20) in luke-warm water

IMPORTANT: It is essential to clean the Paint Roller System thoroughly when you have ﬁnished using it. Failure to do so will result in blockages.

Maintenance

WARNING: ALWAYS disconnect from the power supply before carrying out any inspection, maintenance or cleaning.

Cleaning the valve unit

Note: This procedure should always be done before long term storage or

short-term storage of at least a week. If the unit is constantly used it should be carried out weekly.

1. Unscrew and remove the Pressure Hose Securing Collar (13) and the Suction Hose Securing Collar (15). Remove the Short Suction Hose (8) and Long Pressure Hose (9)

2. Remove the Front Cover (18) by pulling forward past the two hose nozzles and unscrew the 6 screws from the Screw Holes (29)

3. Remove the nozzle assembly and clean the Valve Seal (19) with a soft brush

4. Remove the Paint Short Hose (28) from both Paint Short Hose Nozzles (30) and wash thoroughly in warm water

5. Holding the nozzle unit with the Paint Control Switch (27), clean the rest of the nozzle assembly with warm water, ensuring the threads are clean of paint

6. Allow the nozzle assembly to dry and reﬁt the Paint Short Hose. Reﬁt the nozzle assembly to the main unit with the 6 screws. Reﬁt the Front Cover. Stand the Pump Unit vertically and place a few drops of sewing machine oil into the Suction Hose Nozzle

7. Place a towel over the two Nozzles and brieﬂy switch on the pump unit

General inspection

• Regularly check that all the ﬁxing screws are tight

• Inspect the supply cord of the tool, prior to each use, for damage or wear. Repairs should be carried out by an authorised Silverline service centre. This advice also applies to extension cords used with this tool

Cleaning

• Keep your tool clean at all times. Dirt and dust will cause internal parts to wear quickly, and shorten the machine’s service life. Clean the body of your machine with a soft brush, or dry cloth. If available, use clean, dry, compressed air to blow through the ventilation holes

• Clean the tool casing with a soft damp cloth using a mild detergent. Do not use alcohol, petrol or strong cleaning agents

• Never use caustic agents to clean plastic parts

Lubrication

• Slightly lubricate all moving parts at regular intervals with a suitable spray lubricant

Brushes

• Over time the carbon brushes inside the motor may become worn

• Excessively worn brushes may cause loss of power, intermittent failure, or visible sparking

• If you suspect that the brushes may be worn, have them replaced at an authorised Silverline service centre

Note: One set of Spare Brushes (8) is supplied with this tool.

Storage

• Store this tool carefully in a secure, dry place out of the reach of children

Disposal

Always adhere to national regulations when disposing of power tools that are no longer functional and are not viable for repair.

• Do not dispose of power tools, or other waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), with household waste

• Contact your local waste disposal authority for information on the correct way to dispose of power tools

The guarantee claim must be submitted during the guarantee period. You must provide the original sales receipt indicating the purchase date,

You must provide precise details of the fault requiring correction. Claims made within the guarantee period will be veriﬁed by Silverline Tools

to establish if the deﬁciencies are related to material or manufacturing of the product.

Carriage will not be refunded. Items for return must be in a suitably clean and safe state for repair, and should be packaged carefully to prevent damage or injury during transportation. We may reject unsuitable or unsafe deliveries.

All work will be carried out by Silverline Tools or its authorized repair agents.

The repair or replacement of the product will not extend the period of guarantee

Defects recognised by us as being covered by the guarantee shall be corrected by means of repair of the tool, free of charge (excluding carriage charges) or by replacement with a tool in perfect working order.

Retained tools, or parts, for which a replacement has been issued, will become the property of Silverline Tools.

If any part is no longer available or out of manufacture, Silverline Tools will replace it with a functional replacement part.

What is not covered:

Silverline Tools does not guarantee repairs required as a result of: Normal wear and tear caused by use in accordance with the operating

instructions eg blades, brushes, belts, bulbs, batteries etc. The replacement of any provided accessories drill bits, blades, sanding

sheets, cutting discs and other related items. Accidental damage, faults caused by negligent use or care, misuse, neglect,

careless operation or handling of the product. Use of the product for anything other than normal domestic purposes. Change or modiﬁcation of the product in any way. Use of parts and accessories which are not genuine Silverline Tools

components. Faulty installation (except installed by Silverline Tools). Repairs or alterations carried out by parties other than Silverline Tools or its

authorized repair agents. Claims other than the right to correction of faults on the tool named in these

guarantee conditions are not covered by the guarantee.

Battery Guarantee

Silverline batteries are guaranteed for 30 days. If a defect occurs on a registered battery during the term of the Battery Guarantee, due to material or manufacturing fault, then Silverline will replace it free of charge. This guarantee does not apply to commercial use nor does it extend to normal wear and tear or damage as a result of accident, abuse or misuse.

Sécurité sur la zone de travail

a) Maintenir une zone de travail propre et bien éclairée. Des zones encombrées et mal éclairées sont sources d’accidents.

b) Ne pas utiliser d’outils électriques dans des environnements explosifs, tels qu’à proximité de liquides, de gaz ou de poussières inﬂammables. Les appareils électriques produisent des étincelles

susceptibles d’enﬂammer la poussière ou les vapeurs présentes.

c) Eloigner les enfants et les passants pendant l’utilisation d’un appareil électrique. Ceux-ci peuvent provoquer une perte d’attention et

faire perdre la maîtrise de l’appareil.

Sécurité électrique

a) La prise d’un appareil électrique doit être adaptée à la prise du secteur. Ne jamais modiﬁer la prise en aucune façon. Ne jamais utiliser d’adaptateur sur la prise électrique d’appareil mis à la terre.

Des prises non modiﬁées, adaptées aux boîtiers de prise de courant, réduiront le risque de décharge électrique.

b) Eviter le contact corporel avec les surfaces mises à la terre telles que tuyaux, radiateurs, cuisinières et réfrigérateurs. Le risque de

décharge électrique est plus important si le corps est mis à la terre.

c) Ne pas exposer l’appareil électrique à la pluie ou à l’humidité. L’inﬁltration d’eau dans un appareil électrique accroît le risque de décharge

électrique.

d) Ne pas maltraiter le cordon électrique. Ne jamais utiliser le cordon électrique pour porter, tirer ou débrancher l’appareil. Protéger le cordon électrique de la chaleur, du contact avec l’essence, des bords tranchants et pièces rotatives. Un cordon électrique

endommagé ou entortillé accroît le risque de décharge électrique.

e) Lors d’une utilisation de l’appareil électrique en extérieur, se servir d’une rallonge appropriée à une utilisation en extérieur. Cela réduit le

risque de décharge électrique.

f) Si une utilisation de l’appareil électrique dans un environnement humide ne peut être évitée, utiliser une alimentation protégée par un disjoncteur différentiel. L’utilisation d’un disjoncteur différentiel

réduit le risque de décharge électrique.

Sécurité des personnes

a) Rester vigilent et faire preuve de bon sens lors de la manipulation de l’appareil. Ne pas utiliser un appareil électrique lorsque l’on se trouve dans un état de fatigue, ou sous l’inﬂuence de drogues, d’alcool ou de médicaments. Un moment d’inattention pendant l’utilisation d’un outil

électrique peut se traduire par des blessures graves.

b) Porter un équipement de protection approprié. Toujours porter une protection oculaire. Le port de masque à poussières, chaussures de

sécurité antidérapantes, casque de sécurité et protections antibruit adaptés aux différentes conditions de travail réduit le risque de blessures corporelles.

c) Eviter tout démarrage accidentel. S’assurer que l’interrupteur marche-arrêt soit en position d’arrêt avant de brancher l’appareil sur l’alimentation secteur ou d’installer la batterie, de prendre l’appareil ou de le transporter. Porter un appareil électrique tout en maintenant le doigt

posé sur l’interrupteur ou brancher un appareil électrique dont l’interrupteur est sur la position de marche est source d’accidents.

d) Enlever toute clé et tout instrument de réglage avant de mettre l’appareil électrique en marche. Une clé ou un instrument de réglage

laissé ﬁxé à un élément en rotation de l’appareil électrique peut entraîner des blessures physiques.

e) Ne pas essayer d’atteindre une zone hors de portée. Se tenir toujours en position stable permettant de conserver l’équilibre. Cela permet de mieux contrôler l’appareil électrique dans des situations

inattendues.

f) Porter des vêtements appropriés. Ne pas porter de vêtements amples ou des bijoux pendants. Eloigner cheveux, vêtements et gants des pièces en mouvement. Les vêtements amples, les bijoux pendants

et cheveux longs peuvent être happés par les pièces en rotation.

g) Si l’appareil est pourvu de dispositifs destinés au raccord d’équipements d’extraction et de récupération de la poussière/ sciure, s’assurer qu’ils soient bien ﬁxés et utilisés correctement

L’utilisation de ces dispositifs peut réduire les risques dus à la poussière.

Utilisation et entretien des appareils électriques

a) Ne pas forcer sur l’appareil électrique. Utiliser l’appareil électrique approprié au travail à effectuer. Un appareil électrique adapté et employé

au rythme pour lequel il a été conçu permettra de réaliser un travail de meilleure qualité et dans de meilleures conditions de sécurité.

b) Ne pas utiliser un appareil électrique dont l’interrupteur marche arrêt est hors service. Tout appareil électrique dont la commande

ne s’effectue plus par l’interrupteur marche-arrêt est dangereux et doit être réparé.

c) Débrancher l’appareil électrique ou démonter sa batterie avant d’effectuer tout réglage ou changement d’accessoire et avant de le ranger. De telles mesures préventives réduiront les risques de

démarrage accidentel.

d) Ranger les appareils électriques inutilisés hors de portée des enfants et ne pas permettre l’utilisation de cet appareil aux personnes non habituées à son maniement ou n’ayant pas lu les présentes instructions. Les appareils électriques sont dangereux dans

les mains d’utilisateurs inexpérimentés.

e) Veiller à l’entretien des appareils électriques. Vériﬁer que les éléments rotatifs soient bien alignés et non grippés. S’assurer de l’absence de pièces cassées ou endommagées susceptibles de nuire au bon fonctionnement de l'appareil. Si l’appareil électrique est endommagé, le faire réparer avant toute utilisation. De nombreux accidents sont dus à

l’utilisation d’appareils électriques mal entretenus.

f) Veiller à ce que les outils de coupe soient tenus affûtés et propres. Des outils de coupe bien entretenus, aux tranchants bien affûtés, sont

moins susceptibles de se gripper et sont plus faciles à contrôler.

g) Utiliser l’appareil électrique, les accessoires et outils à monter conformément à ces instructions, en tenant compte des conditions de travail et de la tâche à réaliser. Toute utilisation d’un appareil

électrique autre que celle pour laquelle il a été conçu peut entraîner des situations à risque.

ATTENTION : Lorsque utilisé en Australie ou en Nouvelle Zélande, il est recommandé que cet appareil soit toujours alimenté via un disjoncteur différentiel ayant un courant résiduel de 30 mA ou moins.

Révision

a) Ne faire réparer votre appareil électrique que par un réparateur qualiﬁé utilisant uniquement des pièces de rechange identiques.

Cela permet de maintenir la sécurité d’utilisation de l’appareil électrique.

Consignes de sécurité relatives aux rouleaux à peinture électriques

ATTENTION : Cet appareil n’est pas conçu pour être utilisé par des personnes (enfants compris) ayant des capacités physiques ou mentales réduites.

• Portez la pompe uniquement par sa poignée de transport. Ne portez et ne soulevez jamais la pompe par son câble d’alimentation.

• Ce produit n’est pas conçu pour un usage continu. Un usage excessif réduira la durée de service et annulera la garantie.

• Ne vous servez pas de cette pompe avec des liquides autres que des peintures émulsions à l’eau/au latex.

• Les matériaux en suspension dans la peinture, par exemple les revêtements texturés, causent une usure plus élevée et réduisent la capacité de sortie de la pompe.

• Ne pompez jamais d’eau chaude avec cette pompe, et n’utilisez jamais la pompe lorsque la température ambiante est proche de zéro.

• La pompe contient une tension secteur dangereuse. N’enlevez aucune partie du boitier à moins que cette pièce soit destinée à être enlevée lors d’un usage normal et qu’il n’y ait aucun risque d’exposer l’utilisateur à des tensions dangereuses.

• Vériﬁez le câble d’alimentation et la rallonge avant chaque utilisation pour vous assurer qu’ils sont en bon état. Faites toujours remplacer un câble endommagé par un centre de service Silverline agréé.

• Ne tirez jamais sur le câble pour le débrancher de l’alimentation électrique. Ne portez jamais l’outil par son câble. Ne touchez jamais des câbles sous tension ou des prises avec des mains humides. Gardez le câble loin de la chaleur, de l’huile, des solvants et des arêtes vives.

• Peignez toujours dans une zone bien aérée.

• N’utilisez pas l’unité de pompe dans la pluie. Gardez toutes les connexions électriques sèches. Ne laissez pas la pompe devenir mouillée. Ne laissez pas d’eau s’inﬁltrer dans les oriﬁces de ventilation.

• Assurez-vous de suivre les instructions du fabricant en ce qui concerne l’élimination des peintures.

• Ne laissez pas l’appareil sans surveillance lorsque l’interrupteur principal est activé.

Usage conforme

• Système de pompe portable alimenté par secteur pour pomper la peinture à un rouleau à peinture pour plus de commodité et un rythme de travail amélioré. Cet appareil est conçu pour un usage domestique. Il n’est pas approprié pour des utilisations commerciales, industrielles ou de location.

Déballage

• Déballez et inspectez votre outil avec précaution. Familiarisez-vous avec ses caractéristiques et fonctions.

• Assurez-vous que toutes les pièces de l’outil sont présentes et en bonne condition. Si des pièces sont manquantes ou endommagées, faites-les remplacer avant d’essayer d’utiliser cet outil.

Avant utilisation

ATTENTION : Assurez-vous que l’outil soit débranché de l’alimentation électrique avant de monter ou de changer des accessoires, ou d’effectuer des réglages.

IMPORTANT : N’utilisez pas de peinture à base de solvants (huile) ou de peintures texturées avec ce rouleau à peinture électrique. Il est uniquement adapté aux peintures émulsion à l’eau/au latex. Les peintures nécessitant de laver les pinceaux dans des solvants, white spirit ou similaire, ne sont pas adaptées à ce produit.

IMPORTANT : Référez-vous toujours aux instructions fournies avec la peinture en plus des instructions fournies dans ce manuel, car elles pourraient contenir des informations essentielles concernant la sécurité, le rapport de dilution correct ou maximal, et le traitement de surface requis avant de peindre.

Montage

1. Dévissez partiellement le collier de ﬁxation du tuyau d’alimentation

(13) et insérez une extrémité du tuyau d’alimentation long (9) sur l’embout du tuyau d’alimentation (26), en vous assurant qu’il soit complètement inséré. Serrez le collier de ﬁxation du tuyau d’alimentation. Dévissez partiellement le collier de ﬁxation à la base de la poignée du cadre du rouleau (2) et insérez l’autre extrémité du tuyau d’alimentation long sur l’embout, en vous assurant de nouveau qu’il soit complètement inséré avant de serrer le collier de ﬁxation.

2. En fonction de la longueur requise entre la poignée du cadre du

rouleau et le rouleau à peinture (6), ﬁxez une ou deux rallonges (4) ; ou pour une courte longueur ﬁxez le rouleau à peinture directement sur la poignée du cadre du rouleau. Quelle que soit la partie que vous voulez enlever ou ajouter, la procédure est la même. Dévissez le collier, par exemple le collier ﬁleté de rallonge (5) et séparez les deux parties en les tirant. Pour connecter les deux parties, insérez le connecteur, par exemple le connecteur de rallonge (3) dans l’embout de réception de l’autre rallonge et ﬁxez en serrant le collier ﬁleté de rallonge (5). Ne serrez pas trop les colliers car ceci rendrait le démontage plus difﬁcile.

3. Fixez le rouleau à peinture (6) sur le cadre du rouleau (2).

4. Connectez l’extrémité ouverte du tuyau d’aspiration court (8) à

l’embout du tuyau d’aspiration (16) après avoir partiellement dévissé le collier de ﬁxation du tuyau d’aspiration (15) puis resserrez une fois que le tuyau est complètement inséré.

Préparation pour l’utilisation

1. Préparez la zone de travail, en vous servant de bâches en plastique

et de ruban adhésif, aﬁn de protéger contre l’égouttage et les déversements de peinture.

2. Préparez la surface aﬁn qu’elle soit prête à peindre.

3. Préparez la peinture conformément aux instructions du fabricant –

en remuant la peinture et en la diluant éventuellement. Utilisez un mélangeur de peinture assez long pour bien atteindre le fond du conteneur.

4. Positionnez le rouleau à peinture électrique et le pot de peinture

dans une position sure lors de l’utilisation, aﬁn d’éviter de risquer de renverser la peinture.

5. Submergez le ﬁltre à peinture (20) complètement dans la peinture.

Réglez la butée en plastique sur le tuyau d’aspiration court (8) à la position requise pour que le ﬁltre à peinture soit à la profondeur correcte.

IMPORTANT : Lors du pompage initial de la peinture, gardez la machine et la peinture au même niveau jusqu’à ce que les deux tubes soient remplis de peinture et que le système soit correctement amorcé. Le système est désormais prêt à être utilisé et la partie principale peut être déplacée. Assurez-vous que le tube de remplissage reste toujours totalement submergé au fond du pot de peinture. Ne pas observer cette consigne entraînera la circulation d’air dans le système et le besoin de le réamorcer.
