Carefully read and understand this manual and any label attached to the tool before use. Keep these instructions with the product for future reference. Ensure all persons who use this product are fully acquainted with this manual.
Even when used as prescribed it is not possible to eliminate all residual risk factors. Use with caution. If you are at all unsure of the correct and safe manner in which to use this tool, do not attempt to use it.
General Safety
Clean the work area
• Accidents can occur where benches and work areas are cluttered or dirty. Keep floors clear and avoid working where the floor is slippery. If working outdoors, be aware of all potential slip and trip hazards before using this tool
Children and pets
• Keep children and pets at a safe distance from the work area. Lock tools away where children cannot gain access
Trained, competent persons
• This tool should be used by trained, competent persons only
Wear suitable clothing and footwear
• Do not wear loose fitting clothing, neckties, jewellery, or other items which may become caught. Wear non-slip footwear or, where appropriate, footwear with protective toe caps. Long hair should be covered or tied back
Protective equipment
• Refer to the rating plate on your tool for information relating to the necessary protective equipment when using this product. Example; dust mask/respirator, goggles, ear defenders, gloves etc
Check for damaged or missing parts
• Before each use, check if any part of the tool is damaged or missing. Carefully check that it will operate properly and perform its intended function. Check alignment of moving parts for binding. Any guard or other part that is damaged should be immediately repaired or replaced by an authorised service centre. DO NOT USE IF DEFECTIVE
Use the correct tool
• Do not force or attempt to use a tool for a purpose for which it was not designed. This tool is not intended for industrial use
Accessories
• The use of any attachment or accessory, other than those mentioned in this manual, could be dangerous and result in damage or injury, and may invalidate your warranty
Secure work
• Where possible, always secure work. If appropriate, use a clamp or vice so that both hands are free to operate the tool
Keep your balance
• Do not over-reach. Keep secure footing at all times and do not use tools when standing on an unstable surface

Electrical Safety
Dangerous environment
• Do not use power tools in damp or wet conditions, or expose them to rain. Provide adequate surrounding work space and keep the area well lit. Do not use power tools where there is a risk of explosion or fire from combustible material, flammable liquids, flammable gases, or dust of an explosive nature. When using power tools, avoid contact with any earthed items such as pipes, radiators, cookers, refrigerators, metal baths and taps
Protect yourself from vibration
• Hand-held power tools may produce vibration. Vibration can cause disease. Gloves may help to maintain good blood circulation in the fingers. Hand-held tools should not be used for long periods without a break
Switch off before connecting
• Ensure the power tool is switched off before connecting to the power source. If the power tool stops unexpectedly, turn the power switch to OFF
Always disconnect
• Before changing fittings or accessories, always disconnect the tool from the power source
Do not abuse the power cable
• Be sure the cable / extension cable is in good condition. Always have a damaged cable / extension cable replaced at an authorised service centre before using. Never pull the cable to disconnect it from the power socket. Never carry the tool by its cable. Keep the cable away from damp, heat, oil, solvents, and sharp edges
Maintain your power tool
• Ensure all ventilation holes are kept clear at all times, otherwise overheating and fire may occur
Do not modify the power tool
• Do not modify the power tool in any way as this could result in serious injury and may invalidate its guarantee
Do not leave the tool running unattended
• Always wait until the tool has completely stopped functioning and has been unplugged before leaving it unattended
Nailer Stapler safety
• Always keep your hands clear of the workpiece when using the nailer stapler. Staples may cause serious injury if fired accidentally
• Always disconnect the nailer stapler from the power supply before reloading staples or nails
• Never point this tool at persons or animals. Staples or nails fired, even from a distance, can cause significant injuries
• Always position the nailer stapler at 90˚ to the work surface. Firing at the wrong angle may cause staples or nails to ricochet back towards the operator
• Do not attempt to fire staples into inappropriate materials. This nailer stapler should only be used for wood, plasterboard, cork, or other soft materials
• Ensure that the workpiece is adequately sturdy to stop the staple. In some situations it may be possible for a staple or nail to pass through a workpiece
• Do not attempt to fire staples or nails over existing fixings
• Do not fire staples or nails close to the edge of a workpiece, small pieces may split off and could cause injury
• Do not use this tool to fasten electrical wiring. Contact with electric current can lead to fire and/or electric shock

Unpacking Your Tool
• Carefully unpack and inspect your tool. Fully familiarise yourself with all its features and functions
• Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If any parts are missing or damaged, have such parts replaced before attempting to use this tool
Before Use
Checking the safety catch
This product should always be tested before use to ensure proper operation of all safety mechanisms
1. With the nailer stapler disconnected from the mains power supply,
press down on the Magazine Latch (4) and pull open the Magazine Cover (5). Check that there are no staples loaded in the magazine. Close the Magazine Cover (5), ensuring the Magazine Latch (4) clicks shut
2. Connect the nailer stapler to the mains power supply and move the
On/Off Switch (3) to the ON position
3. Push the Safety Catch (6) against a piece of wood without pulling the
trigger. The nailer stapler should NOT fire
4. Hold the tool away from the piece of wood. The Safety Catch (6)
should return to its original position
5. Pull the Trigger (1). The nailer stapler should NOT fire
6. Push the Safety Catch (6) against the piece of wood, and this time
pull the Trigger (1). The tool should fire and this indicates normal operation
7. Move the On/Off Switch (3) to the OFF position, and disconnect from
the mains power supply
8. If the nailer stapler does not function as described above DO NOT
USE. Have the nailer stapler repaired at an authorised service centre immediately
Loading the magazine
1. Ensure that the nailer stapler is disconnected from the mains power
supply
2. Press down on the Magazine Latch (4) and pull open the Magazine
Cover (5)
3. Insert fasteners into the magazine, ensuring the point of the fastener
is facing downwards (away from the Handle (2) of the tool). See specification for suitable fasteners
4. Close the Magazine Cover (5), ensuring the Magazine Latch (4) clicks
shut
Operating instructions
Connection to power
1. Insert plug into the mains outlet and set the Power Switch (3) to the ON position
2. To switch off power, set the power switch to the OFF position and remove plug from mains outlet
Firing staples
1. Always hold the nailer stapler securely, using both hands. Grip the Handle (2) with one hand, and place the other on the top of the body of the nailer stapler. This will ensure that you have maximum control of the tool
2. Hold the tool firmly against the material so that the Safety Catch (6) is depressed
3. Gently squeeze the Trigger (1) until the staple is fired
4. Release the trigger and check that the staple has penetrated the material correctly
Clearing jams
1. Disconnect nailer stapler from the mains power supply
2. Depress the Magazine Latch (4) and open the Magazine Cover (5)
3. Remove the obstruction using pliers
4. Reload the magazine and close securely
Maintenance
Cleaning
• Keep your machine clean at all times. Dirt and dust will cause internal parts to wear quickly, and will shorten the machine’s service life
• Clean the body of your machine with a soft brush or dry cloth. If available, use clean, dry, compressed air to blow through the ventilation holes
Brushes
• Over time the carbon brushes inside the motor may become worn. Excessively worn brushes may cause loss of power, intermittent failure or visible sparking
• If you suspect that the brushes may be worn, have them replaced at an authorised service centre
Storage
• Store this tool and any accessories in a dry, secure place out of the reach of children
Disposal
• Do not dispose of power tools, or other waste electrical and electronic equipment, with household waste
• Contact your local waste disposal authority for information on the correct way to dispose of tools

Register this product at www.silverlinetools.com within 30 days of purchase in order to qualify for the 3 year guarantee. Guarantee period begins according to the date of purchase on your sales receipt.
Registering your purchase
Registration is made at silverlinetools.com by selecting the Guarantee Registration button. You will need to enter:-

• Details of the product and purchase information Once this information is entered your guarantee certificate will be created in
PDF format for you to print out and keep with your purchase.
Guarantee period becomes effective from the date of retail purchase as detailed on your sales receipt.
PLEASE KEEP YOUR SALES RECEIPT
If this product develops a fault within 30 days of purchase, return it to the stockist where it was purchased, with your receipt, stating details of the fault. You will receive a replacement or refund.

The guarantee claim must be submitted during the guarantee period. You must provide the original sales receipt indicating the purchase date, your
name, address and place of purchase before any work can be carried out. You must provide precise details of the fault requiring correction. Claims made within the guarantee period will be verified by Silverline Tools
to establish if the deficiencies are related to material or manufacturing of the product.
Carriage will not be refunded. Items for return must be in a suitably clean and safe state for repair, and should be packaged carefully to prevent damage or injury during transportation. We may reject unsuitable or unsafe deliveries.
All work will be carried out by Silverline Tools or its authorized repair agents.
The repair or replacement of the product will not extend the period of guarantee
Defects recognised by us as being covered by the guarantee shall be corrected by means of repair of the tool, free of charge (excluding carriage charges) or by replacement with a tool in perfect working order.
Retained tools, or parts, for which a replacement has been issued, will become the property of Silverline Tools.
The repair or replacement of your product under guarantee provides benefits which are additional to and do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
What is covered:
The repair of the product, if it can be verified to the satisfaction of Silverline Tools that the deficiencies were due to faulty materials or workmanship within the guarantee period.
If any part is no longer available or out of manufacture, Silverline Tools will replace it with a functional replacement part.
Use of this product in the EU.
What is not covered:
Silverline Tools does not guarantee repairs required as a result of: Normal wear and tear caused by use in accordance with the operating
instructions eg blades, brushes, belts, bulbs, batteries etc. The replacement of any provided accessories drill bits, blades, sanding
sheets, cutting discs and other related items. Accidental damage, faults caused by negligent use or care, misuse, neglect,
careless operation or handling of the product. Use of the product for anything other than normal domestic purposes. Change or modification of the product in any way. Use of parts and accessories which are not genuine Silverline Tools
components. Faulty installation (except installed by Silverline Tools). Repairs or alterations carried out by parties other than Silverline Tools or its
authorized repair agents. Claims other than the right to correction of faults on the tool named in these
guarantee conditions are not covered by the guarantee.
Battery Guarantee
Silverline batteries are guaranteed for 30 days. If a defect occurs on a registered battery during the term of the Battery Guarantee, due to material or manufacturing fault, then Silverline will replace it free of charge. This guarantee does not apply to commercial use nor does it extend to normal wear and tear or damage as a result of accident, abuse or misuse.
