installation of a residual current device (RCD) having a rated re­sidual operating current not ex­ceeding 30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying
the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.
Only use the original plug-in
mains adapter supplied for mains operation.
Remove the plug-in mains
adapter from the socket
- if a malfunction occurs,
- before you clean the product,
- if you have not used the product for a long time,
- during a thunderstorm and
- after each use. When doing so, remove the plug-in mains adapter directly from the socket and do not pull it out using the supply cord.
Avoid risk of injury
Do not change the accessories
while the product is switched on.
Do not use the product if you
detect any kind of visible, external damage. Never use a damaged product.
If liquid gets into the product,
check before using the product once more.
If you notice that the supply
cord, plug-in mains adapter, housing or another part has

become damaged, the product can no longer be used.
Repairs should only be carried
out by a specialist. Improper re­pairs may result in considerable danger to the user. This will also make any warranty claims void.
Do not use defective attachments
with the product as these could have sharp corners.
Defective components must al-
ways be replaced with original spare parts. Only by using origi­nal spare parts can you ensure that safety requirements are met.
Connect the plug-in mains
adapter to an outlet which is well within reach.
Never use the product unsuper-
vised and only use it in ac­cordance with the information stated on the type plate.
Connect the supply cord to the
product before inserting the plug-in mains adapter into the socket.
The tips of the attachments are
sharp.
Switch off the product before
attaching or switching the at­tachments, as well as before cleaning.
Lay the supply cord so nobody
will step on or trip over it.
Do not use the product if you
have an open wound, cut, sun­burn or blister.
Avoid the danger of damage to property

Protect the product from moisture,
drops of water and splashing water.
Ensure that the supply cord
does not get stuck in cupboard doors and that it is not pulled over hot surfaces. This could damage the supply cord‘s insulation.
Use the original accessories
only.
Do not place the product on hot
surfaces, near hot surfaces or near an open fire.
To prevent impermissible heating
do not cover the plug-in mains adapter and the product during use and charging.
Do not use any corrosive or
abrasive cleaning agents.

of children. Do not ingest the blade oil, do not get it into your eyes. Keep it in a safe place if it is not being used.

and mucous membranes. In the event of contact with battery acid, thoroughly flush the af­fected area with plenty of clean water and seek immediate medical attention.
WEAR PROTECTIVE
GLOVES! Leaked or
damaged batteries / rechargea-
ble batteries can cause burns on contact with the skin. Wear suitable protective gloves at all times if such an event occurs.
This product contains a re-
chargeable battery which can­not be removed. The removal or replacement of the rechargea­ble battery may only be carried out by the manufacturer or his customer service or by a simi­larly qualified person in order to avoid hazards. When disposing of the product, it should be noted that this product contains a rechargeable battery.

Before use
Note: The product may be powered using the
built-in rechargeable battery or the plug-in mains adapter.
Remove all parts from the package.
Charging
Note: Before first use, the rechargeable battery in
the product should be charged for at least 90 mi­nutes. A charging time of 90 minutes is also requi­red subsequently. The product can be charged directly or indirectly by using the charging base Note: The charging process is shown on the display of the charging display battery-status display
Direct charging (see Fig. C)
To avoid injuries and damage to the product,
always switch the product off before charging the battery (ON / OFF switch „0“ position).

Operating using the plug-in mains adapter
If the product stops working during use due to an empty or insufficient battery, you can continue if the plug-in mains adapter is connected.

Oiling the blades
It is recommended that you oil the blades before first use and after cleaning to guarantee complete functionality (see Fig. E).
Apply one or two drops of blade oil 14 bet-
ween the blades and distribute them evenly.
Wipe away any excess oil using a cloth. You can also use any acid-free oil such as
sewing machine oil.

Setting the trim length
To set different trim lengths, hold the upper part

Trimming hair
Begin by using the longer comb attachment 11
and trim the hair gradually to the desired length.
Note that the desired trim length can only be
achieved if the product is held perpendicularly to the skin‘s surface.
Avoid making sudden movements when trim-
ming.

Thinning hair
Note: Using this function you can reduce the
volume of the hair by collecting and cutting only some of it off.
Place the thinning attachment 12 onto the pro-
duct as described in the chapter „Changing the attachments.“

Trimming beards
Note that the desired trim length can only be
achieved if the product is held perpendicularly to the skin‘s surface.
Comb the beard using the supplied comb 17
in its direction of growth.
Shorten the beard downwards from the ear to
the chin, one side after the other.
Use the cutting unit 1 without the comb
attachment to trim a moustache or hairline.
Graduate the desired trim length by rotating
the lower part of the product length position indicator

Improper disposal of rechargea-
ble batteries can damage the environment!
Rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with the household refuse. They may contain toxic heavy metals and require to be handled as special waste. The chemical symbols of heavy metals are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. That is
why you should dispose of used batteries at a lo­cal collection point.
Warranty
The product has been manufactured to strict qua­lity guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of product defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.
The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. Should this product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or re­place it – at our choice – free of charge to you.
The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original sales receipt in a safe location. This document is required as your proof of purchase. This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or main­tained improperly.
The warranty applies to defects in material or ma­nufacture. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear, thus possibly consi­dered consumables (e.g. batteries) or for damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, rechargeable batte­ries or glass parts.
