1. Safety Instructions

! Warning

Do not use this product in areas where it may be exposed to water or other
liquids.

Unplug this equipment from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid
or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning.

Only use the cable provided with the unit. The use of other cables may result in
electric shock, fire or cause serious damage to the equipment.

Do not operate the equipment in areas with high temperature or high humidity
since it may prevent it from working properly.

To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble this equipment. Take
it to a qualified service personnel when service or repair work is required.
Opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltages or other
risks. Incorrect reassembly can cause electric shock when the equipment is
subsequently used.

• ADD: Activate or Deactivate the Addition function

It allows the user to add all the counts performed by the equipment under this
mode.

• DD: Verification of the Size (Width) of the bill

The equipment stores the width of the first bill counted as a comparison reference
with the rest of the bills

counted. Press and hold the DD key for 3 sec. and the
current DD-5 sensitivity level will appear on the screen. Using the numeric
keypad, select the desired new sensitivity in the range 1-9, where "1" is the
minimum and "9" is the maximum sensitivity.

• SPEED: Selection of counting speed

By pressing the SPEED key repeatedly, the user selects counting rates between
1000-1200-1400-1600 bills per minute.

• UV: Verification of the UV features of the bill (UV and MG/UV models only)

Press and hold the UV key for 3 sec. and the current level of UV-5 sensitivity will
appear on the screen. Using the numeric keypad, select the desired new sensitivity
in the range 1-9, where "1" is the minimum and "9" is the maximum sensitivity.

• MG: Magnetic verification of the bill (available only on the MG/UV model)

Press and hold the MG key for 3 sec. and the current MG-5 sensitivity level will
appear on the screen. Using the numeric keypad, select the new desired
sensitivity level within the range 1-9, where "1" is the minimum and "9" is the
maximum sensitivity.

• LEVEL (IR): Adjusts the intensity of the counting sensors

Allows you to adjust the intensity of the counting sensors depending on the
physical state of the bills. The intensity can be adjusted in the range 1 - 9.

• A / M: Selection of automatic or manual start mode

In Automatic mode, the equipment begins counting when the user places the bills
on the hopper tray. In Manual mode, the user controls the start of the count by
pressing START. "AUTO" will be displayed on the screen when the equipment is
in Automatic mode.

• C: (Clear) Used to erase the count data from the screen

• BATCH: Enables or disables batch counting

By pressing the Batch key repeatedly, the user can choose between the

default grouping options. If the batch quantity needed does not appear in

the default options, the user can manually key in a different batch value.
The equipment stops counting when it reaches the selected/keyed batch
amount of bills.

• START: Press START to begin counting in Manual mode

Press START to validate any change in the sensitivity setting of the
detection functions.

3. If counting new bills, fan them lightly since they often stick together.

4. Position the bills in an orderly manner on the hopper tray to ensure an error­free operation.

3. Getting Started

3.1 Installation

Select an appropriate workstation or space that is clean, flat and leveled. The
equipment should never be placed near strong sources of light, heat sources or air
conditioners. Please do not install the equipment where its weight cannot be
supported. Plug the power cable to the back of the unit and into the wall power
outlet. Turn the equipment on.

3.2 Bill Selection / Placement

To ensure proper operation:

4.1 Counting Operation

- Turn on the equipment by pressing the power switch.

- The unit will immediately proceed with a self-check routine to confirm the

proper functioning of its main components. If any error message is reported, go to
the Error Messages section of this guide to identify its cause.

- Select the detection functions MG-UV-DD (MG - UV only available on models

with counterfeit detection).

- Select other optional functions such as BATCH, MANUAL, etc.

- Place the bills in an orderly manner on the hopper tray and the unit will

start counting automatically.

NOTE: If the unit is in MANUAL mode, press START to begin counting.

4.2 Adjusting Counterfeit Detection Features (UV and MG/UV model)

The user may need to adjust the sensitivity of the MG-UV-DD-LEVEL detection
functions based on the particular characteristics of the bill being counted. To
change these values, the operator must press the key of the desired function for 3
seconds until the display shows the current value of that function. The user can

then set the desired sensitivity level using the numeric keys on the control panel.
The sensitivity can be adjusted in the range of 1-9 with 1 being the lowest level
and 9 being the highest sensitivity level. Press START to save those changes and
exit the adjustment menu.

NOTE: If there are frequent error messages related to the UV and MG functions
(A0-A1-b), consider reducing the sensitivity of these functions since they could
be at values above the one suitable for the currency being counted.

4.3 Counting Errors

If there are continuous counting errors, proceed as follows:

- Make sure the bills are positioned neatly in the hopper tray.

- Verify that the counting sensors are not affected by particles of dust or of

some other nature.

- Make sure that the thickness adjustment gap is in the proper position for that

bill.

- If the equipment displays continuous error messages related to the MG and

UV functions (A0-A1-b), consider reducing the sensitivity.

4.4 Thickness Knob Adjustment

If there are continuous errors during counting or the EC error message
appears frequently during operation of the equipment, the thickness knob
most likely needs to be adjusted.

The adjustment screw is located on the back of the unit. If the screw is turned
to the right (-), the opening where bills enter the equipment from the hopper
tray narrows, making the bills run tighter. Turning the screw to the left (+)
widens the gap, making the bills run more freely.

NOTE: For new bills, it is recommended to leave the gap narrow. For used and worn
bills, it is recommended to widen the gap.

4. Funcionamiento y Operación

4.4 Ajuste del Gap de entrada de los billetes

El ajuste de espesor del gap de entrada es una rutina que se debe realizar en caso
de que la unidad este experimentando continuos errores en el resultado de los

conteos o el mensaje de error EC aparece de forma continuada durante el
funcionamiento de la unidad.

En la parte posterior de la unidad se encuentra el tornillo de ajuste. Al girar el

tornillo hacia la derecha ( - ) el gap de entrada se cierra, ajustando el espesor del
gap y haciendo que los billetes corran mas ajustados. Girando el tornillo hacia la
izquierda, ( + ), se ensancha el espesor del gap. haciendo que los billetes corran

mas libremente.

NOTA: Para billetes nuevos se recomienda ajustar para mantener un gap
estrecho y ajustado. Para billetes usados y gastados se recomienda ajustar el gap
un poco holgado y libre.

4.3 Errores de Conteo

En caso de producirse errores de conteo de forma continuada proceda a:

- Asegúrese que los billetes están siendo posicionados de forma ordenada en la

bandeja de entrada.

- Verifique que los sensores de conteo no están siendo afectados por partículas de

polvo u otra naturaleza.

- Asegúrese que el ajuste de espesor del gap esta en la posición adecuada para

dicha moneda.

- Si errores relacionados con las funciones MG y UV (A0-A1-b) están siendo

reportados de forma continuada, considere reducir la sensibilidad en caso de

confirmarse que esta muy alta por error.

4.1 Operación de Conteo de Billetes

- Proceda a encender la unidad pulsando el interruptor de encendido

- Inmediatamente la unidad procederá con una rutina de autochequeo para
confirmar el buen funcionamiento de sus modulos. Si algún mensaje de error es
reportado, diríjase a la sección de MENSAJES de ERROR para identificar su

causa.

- Seleccione las funciones de detección MG-UV-DD (basado en el modelo).

- Seleccione otras funciones opcionales como BATCH, MANUAL etc.

- Coloque los billetes de forma ordenada en la bandeja de entrada y la unidad

comenzara el conteo automáticamente.

NOTA: Si la unidad esta en modo MANUAL, debe presionar START para

comenzar el conteo.

4.2 Ajuste de las Funciones de Detección

El usuario puede necesitar ajustar la sensibilidad de las funciones de detección
MG - UV- DD - LEVEL basado en las características particulares de la moneda
que esta contando.

Para cambiar dichos valores, el operador debe presionar la tecla de la función
deseada por 3 segundos hasta que la pantalla muestre el valor actual de dicha
función. Luego con las teclas numéricas el usuario ajusta el valor de sensibilidad
deseado usando las teclas numéricas del teclado. Luego debe presionar START
para salvar dichos cambios y salir del menú de ajuste.

La sensibilidad puede ser ajustada en el rango de 1 - 9 siendo 1 el nivel mas bajo
y 9 el nivel mas alto de sensibilidad.

NOTA: Si la unidad durante su operación esta reportando mensajes de error
relacionados con las funciones UV y MG (A0-A1-b) de forma repe-tida y
continuada, usted pudiera considerar reducir la sensibilidad de estas funciones
pues pudieran estar a valores por encima del adecuado para dicha moneda.

4. Funcionamiento

1. Evitar contar billetes húmedos, excesivamente sucios, doblados o dañados

2. Evitar aquellos objetos que pudieran estar mezclados con los billetes como

presillas y ligas.

3. Sacudir ligeramente los billetes en caso de ser nuevos porque usualmente se

adhieren entre ellos.

4. Posicionar los billetes de forma ordenada en la bandeja de entrada para
asegurar un funcionamiento libre de errores.

3. Arranque de Equipo

3.1 Instalación

Seleccione un espacio de trabajo apropiado que esté limpio, plano y nivelado. El
equipo nunca se debe colocar cerca de fuentes de luz fuertes, fuentes de calor o
acondicionadores de aire. No instale el equipo donde su peso no sea compatible.
Enchufe el cable de alimentación en la parte posterior de la unidad y en la toma de
corriente de la pared. Encienda el equipo.

3.2 Colocación y Selección de los billetes

Para asegurar el adecuado funcionamiento de la unidad:

• MG: Verificación de la tinta Magnética del billete (disponible solo en

el modelo MGUV)

Mantenga presionada la tecla MG por 3 sec. y en la pantalla aparecerá el
nivel actual de sensibilidad MG-5. Usando el teclado numérico seleccione
la nueva sensibilidad deseada en el rango 1-9, donde “1” es el mínimo y
“9” el máximo de sensibilidad.

• LEVEL (IR): Ajusta la intensidad de los sensores de conteo

Permite ajustar la intensidad de los sensores de conteo dependiendo del
estado físico de los billetes. La intensidad puede ser ajustada en el rango

1 - 9.

• A/M: Selección modo de arranque Automático o Manual

En modo Automático la unidad comienza el conteo cuando el usuario

coloca los billetes en la bandeja de entrada. En modo Manual el usuario
controla el arranque del conteo pulsando START. “AUTO” será mostrado

en la pantalla para señalar el modo Automático.

• C: Usada para borrar los datos de conteo de la pantalla

• BATCH: Habilita o deshabilita el conteo por lotes

Presionando la tecla Batch secuencialmente, el usuario puede escoger
entre las opciones de agrupamiento predeterminados. La unidad detiene el
conteo al alcanzar dicha cantidad de billetes. Use el teclado numérico si
desea entrar una cantidad distinta a las predeterminadas.

• START: Presione START para comenzar el conteo en modo Manual.

Presione START para validar cualquier cambio en el ajuste de sensibilidad

de las funciones de detección.

• ADD: Activa o Desactiva la función de Adición

Permite Adicionar todos los conteos efectuados por la unidad bajo este
modo.

• DD: Vericación del Tamaño (Ancho) del billete

La unidad memoriza el ancho del primer billete contado como referencia

de comparación con el resto de los billetes.

Mantenga presionada la tecla DD por 3 sec. y en la pantalla aparecerá el
nivel actual de sensibilidad DD-5. Usando el teclado numérico seleccione
la nueva sensibilidad deseada en el rango 1-9, donde “1” es el mínimo y
“9” el máximo de sensibilidad.

• SPEED: Selección de velocidad de conteo

Presionando la tecla SPEED secuencialmente, el usuario selecciona las

velocidades de conteo entre 1000-1200-1400-1600 billetes por minuto.

• UV: Verificación de los rasgos Ultravioleta del billete (disponible solo

en los modelos UV y MGUV)
Mantenga presionada la tecla UV por 3 sec. y en la pantalla aparecerá el
nivel actual de sensibilidad UV-5. Usando el teclado numérico seleccione
la nueva sensibilidad deseada en el rango 1-9, donde “1” es el mínimo y
“9” el máximo de sensibilidad.

-Siga todas las advertencias e instrucciones señaladas en el manual y/o equipo.

-Este equipo esta destinado a ser operado en un ambiente interior con ventilación

adecuada.

-No lo coloque cerca de la luz directa, fuentes de calor o acondicionadores de aire.

-Este equipo solo debe utilizarse con el cable de alimentación suministrado y

conectado a la linea de voltaje especificado en el equipo.

-Para evitar riesgos de incendio o descarga eléctrica, nunca introduzca objetos en el

equipo a través de las ranuras o aberturas de la carcasa, ya que pueden tocar puntos
de voltajes peligrosos o partes de acceso directo. No desmonte la unidad.

• Cuando el cable de conexión este dañado o gastado*

• Si el equipo sufrió alguna caída o alguna de sus cubiertas esta dañada*

• Si la unidad muestra evidentes cambios en su funcionamiento

No use este producto en áreas donde pueda estar expuesto al agua u otros
líquidos.

Desenchufe este equipo de la toma de corriente antes de limpiarlo. No use
limpiadores líquidos o en aerosol. Utilice un paño húmedo para limpiarlo.

Solo use el cable provisto con la unidad. El uso de otros cables puede
producir descargas eléctricas, incendios o daños graves en el equipo.

No opere el equipo en áreas con alta temperatura o alta humedad ya que

puede impedir que funcione correctamente.
