Whenever you remove the Silar® rack from the microwave oven, use caution to prevent personal injury from occurring. The Silar® rack will maintain high temperatures for a period of time after the microwave oven has been turned off:
Use rack only in the Microwave Oven for which it is intended
Wear insulated mitts whenever inserting or removing food from the rack
Use metal tongs or a metal paddle to insert or remove food
Do Not remove rack from oven while hot
Do Not immerse in water while hot
Do Not clean while hot
Do Not cook raw proteins
Do Not drop
Do Not use damaged rack (cracked, broken, or loose rods may cause damage or injury

Silar® products are extremely durable, and under normal use, require cleaning just once daily. BEFORE REMOVING THE SILAR® RACK FROM THE OVEN, BE SURE BOTH THE OVEN AND THE SILAR® RACK HAVE FULLY COOLED.
Important:
REMOVE RACK FROM OVEN PRIOR TO CLEANING
APPLY CLEANERS ONLY WHEN RACK IS REMOVED FROM OVEN
AFTER CLEANING THOROUGHLY RINSE OFF ALL CLEANERS BEFORE RE-USE
USE PAPER TOWELS OR CLOTH TO DRY RACK (AIR-DRY IS ALSO ACCEPTABLE)
DO NOT USE THE MICROWAVE OVEN TO DRY THE RACK

G e n e r a l C l e a n i n g :
Remove cooled rack from oven and place in sink. Use a mild dishwashing detergent, and scrub with a scouring pad or nylon brush. Thoroughly rinse off with water and allow to completely dry. Place rack back in oven after rack has dried completely.
H e a v i l y S o i l e d C l e a n i n g :
Remove cooled rack from the oven and place in sink. Spray on oven cleaner and allow to soak 30-60 minutes. Do not apply cleaner on Silar® while in the oven. Clean using a nylon or medium duty brass wire brush. Before re-use, thoroughly rinse off all oven cleaner from rack with water and allow to completely dry.
For more thorough cleaning, Silar® racks may be disassembled.
Silar® racks are dishwasher safe.
