Introducing the USB SoundWave 7.1 Pro
The USB SoundWave 7.1 Pro is a portable sound card that
brings a home theater atmosphere to notebook or desktop
computers.

• Xear 3D software offers 27 environment effects, 3
environment sizes, plus a 10-band equalizer with
pre-sets or manual configuration

• Volume (+, -): Increases or decreases the system
volume. Supports analog speakers only.
• Audio Out: Connect headphones or stereo speakers
via mini-3.5mm stereo plug. Doubles as an S/PDIF
Optical out when used with the included S/PDIF
Optical adapter.
• Volume Mute: Press this button to turn off the
system sound. Press the button again to turn on the
system sound, pause for several seconds between
button presses. Supports analog speakers only.
• Microphone/Line In Mute: Press this button to
mute Microphone/Line In. Press the button again
to turn on Microphone/Line In.
• Microphone/Line In: Connects MP3 players, CD
players, iPods and other audio output devices for
playback* or recording, connect a microphone and
turn your system into a P.A.* or Karaoke* system.
*Note: Playback, P.A., and Karaoke supports analog
speakers only.
• Power/Activity LED: The light will be on when the
system is powered up. The light will blink when
activity is detected, however, the light is not affected
by Microphone/Line In inputs.
• Microphone LED: When the Microphone/Line In
is muted, the light will turn on.
• USB Connector: Plugs into the system's USB port.

Software Installation
Windows will automatically install it's built-in driver for
the USB SoundWave 7.1 Pro when connected. To get Xear
3D Audio Utility, Mixer, Equalizer, Optical S/PDIF and
simulated 7.1-channel sound from headphones or stereo
speakers, install the Xear 3D software and driver from the
CD. Plug in the USB SoundWave 7.1 Pro and allow the
Windows driver to load before inserting the software CD.
Windows 7
1. Insert the software CD. AutoPlay should start the
installation
At the AutoPlay box: Click Open folder to view
files. Double click Win7 folder, then double click
Setup.
If AutoPlay doesn't start: Click Start, in Search
programs and files, type D:\Win7\setup.exe, then
press Enter. (Change D: to match your CD/DVD-
ROM drive letter)
2. At User Account Control, click Yes.
3. Select Yes, I want to restart my computer now, then
click Finish.
Windows Vista / Server 2008
1. Insert the software CD. AutoPlay should start the
installation.
At the AutoPlay box: Click Run Setup.exe.
