Introducing the Serial ATA 4-Channel PCI-M
The Serial ATA 4-Channel PCI-M is an ultra high-speed four channel Serial ATA controller. It achieves burst data transfer rates up to 150MB/s (1.5Gbps) and supports hard disk drives with capacities greater than 137GB.

Hardware Installation
Static Electricity Discharge may permanently damage your system. Discharge any static electricity build up in your body by touching your computer’s case for a few seconds. Avoid any contact with internal parts and handle cards only by their external edges.
1. Turn OFF the power to your computer and any other connected peripheral devices. Unplug the computer's power cord.
2. Open your computer’s case and install the card in an available PCI slot.
3. Push the board down firmly, but gently, until it is well seated.
4. Secure the card with a slot bracket holding screw.
Now go to Device Connection to connect your Serial ATA hard disk drives.

Device Connection
The Serial ATA 4-Channel PCI-M is a four channel Serial ATA controller that supports up to four Serial ATA hard disk drives. If you plan to use more than two Serial ATA channels, you will need to purchase additional Serial ATA power and data cables.
1. Install hard disk drive(s) in chassis.
Note: Users with Mac OS X (v10.1.x) installed go to Mac OS X (v10.1.x) Firmware Update on page 4
before proceeding.
2. Connect the hard disk drive to the system power supply using the Serial ATA power cable.
3. Connect one end of the Serial ATA cable to the hard disk drive.

4. Attach the other end of the Serial ATA cable to a Serial ATA connector on the Serial ATA 4-Channel PCI-M.
5. Follow the same instructions when connecting each hard drive. Device connection is now complete.
6. Close the computer's case then go to Software Installation to complete the installation.
