• Type B USB port: connects to an available USB port
on your computer

• Type A USB port: plug your USB device into this
port

• RJ-45: plug your your CAT5 cable into this port, up
to 50 meters

Hardware Installation

General instructions for installing the card are provided
below.

Static Electricity Discharge may permanently damage
your system. Discharge any static electricity build up in
your body by touching your computer case for a few
seconds.

1. Connect your CAT5 cable to theRJ-45 port of each
extender.

2. Plug the USB cable into the Type B USB port, then
plug the other end into your computer

3. Plug your USB device into the Type A USB port.
