ExpressCard
The Hi-Speed USB 2-Port ExpressCard adds high-speed
USB 2.0 interface to your notebook computer.

computer - Supports data transfer rate up to
480Mb/s
• Works with USB (2.0 & 1.1) devices including digital
cameras, scanners, CD/DVD & hard disk drives,
memory card readers, and more
• Compliant with USB specifications revision 2.0
• Supports high-speed (480Mbps), full speed
(12Mbps), and low speed (1.5Mbps) data transfer
modes
• Supports simultaneous operation of multiple highspeed USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices and connects up
to 127 devices
• Can be installed in an ExpressCard /34 or /54 slot
Note: USB 1.1 devices are limited to USB 1.1 speeds
even when they are connected to USB 2.0 host adapter
or USB 2.0 hubs.

USB 2.0 Ports
Power Adapter Jack
Note: For devices that require more power than
provided by the USB ports, an optional power
adapter can be purchased from SIIG online store.
Most USB devices do not need this optional power
adapter to work.

Hardware Installation
General instructions for installing the card are provided
below. Since the design of systems may vary, refer to
your system’s reference manual for further information,
if needed.
Insert the Card into the ExpressCard slot of your system.
Make sure it is inserted all the way in for a solid connection.
Driver Installation
Windows 2000 SP4, XP, Server 2003 and Vista will detect
and install the drivers automatically. No additional
driver is necessary.
To Verify Windows Installation
1. Check Device Manager to verify successful
installation.
Windows 2000/XP/Server 2003: Right click My
Computer, click Manage, then click Device
Manager.
Windows Vista™: Right click Computer, click
Manage, click Continue, then click Device
Manager.
2. Double click Universal Serial Bus controllers, and
Generic USB Hub should be displayed.
Connecting USB Devices
When connecting USB devices, hold the Hi-Speed USB
2-Port ExpressCard so it does not move from side to side,
otherwise, the ExpressCard may eject from the slot.
