Introducing the HDMI Extender
The HDMI Extender over 1 CAT5e extends HDMI signals
via 1 CAT5e/6 cable to virtually any HDMI enabled
display. This cost effective solution provides flexibility
for HDMI enabled devices to transmit high quality audio/
video to greater distances at minimal cost.

Layout
• HDMI-IN: Connect to a HDMI source with a HDMI
M-M cable (not included) here
• RJ45-OUT: Plug in a CAT5e/6 cable, to be linked to
the RJ-45 connector of the HDMI receiver
• +5V DC: connect to 5V DC power supply
• Mode:
0 HDMI mode with 8-channel audio output
1 = HDMI mode with 2-channel audio output
2 = DVI mode
3-5 = Reserved
6 = Use default EDID
7 = Learn EDID from the display.
Note: If no image appears on the HDMI display,
turn the dial to Mode 7 to read the EDID of the
connected HDMI display.

• HDMI-OUT: connect to a HDMI display with a
HDMI M-M cable (not included) here
• EQ: adjusts the equilization of the received signal
from 0 (strongest) to 7 (weakest). It is recommended
to try each setting, from 0 to 7 to find the optimal
visual experience
• RJ45-IN: plug in a CAT5e/6 cable that needs to be
linked to the RJ-45 connector of the HDMI transmitter
receiver
• +5V DC: connect to 5V DC power supply
