Quick Installation Guide
Introducing the AVTuner Plus
The AVTuner Plus is a new generation TV box which you can use with your CRT, LCD, Plasma or projection monitor to watch full screen TV and video at very high resolutions.

S-Video In: connects to the S-Video output of any AV device
Composite Video In: connects to the video output of any AV device via RCA connector
L/R Audio In: connects to the left and right audio output of any AV device via RCA connectors
Volume control: press Vol+ to increase and Vol- to decrease the volume level. Also used to navigate through the Menu Options (see page 6)
Channel selection: press Ch+ to go up and Ch- to go down to the next channel. Also used to select Menu Options (see page 6)
Enter: confirms menu settings
Menu: displays a menu of all possible settings
Source: switches input sources between: PC, TV

Power connector: power jack for the switching power adapter
Monitor: connects to your LCD or CRT monitor
VGA In: connects to your PC's VGA out

Video Out: composite video RCA jack connects to the video input jack of any video display source; active in TV, S-Video and Composite video modes
Tuner In: input for antenna, Cable or Satellite TV

Resolution: selects resolution and refresh rate
Number keys: key-in numbers for channel selection
Enter: confirms channel selection

CH (+, -): channel up/down or menu up/down
VOL (+, -): volume up/down or menu left/right
ENTER: confirms the menu settings

16:9/SCREEN: switches between 16:9 and 4:3 aspect
ratio
SLEEP: sets sleep mode (10min, 60min, 90min, off)
SCAN: scans TV channels
AUDIO: bilingual sound
FAVORITE: calls up favorite channels
MEMORY: adds/deletes favorite channels
Hardware Installation
1. Connect the coaxial cable from your antenna/cable/ satellite TV to the Tuner In connector, and/or any other video sources, such as DVD player, VCR, or DV camcorder, utilizing the S-Video, Composite video and left/right audio inputs on the front panel (see Figure 1 on page 2 for more information).
2. Connect the VGA extension cable to the VGA In of the AVTuner Pro, then connect the other end to the VGA output of the computer.
3. Connect the monitor's VGA connector to the Monitor jack of the AVTuner Pro.
4. Skip this step if the AVTuner Pro and your PC will use
separate speaker systems. Plug one end of the 3.5mm stereo cable into the Line In of the AVTuner Pro,
then plug the other end into Speaker out/Line out port of the computer's sound card.

5. Plug your speakers into the Speaker jack of the AVTuner Pro.
6. Connect the Switching Power adapter to the Power connector, then plug the power adapter into a reliable power source.
Operating Instructions
Configuring the AVTuner Plus
The first time you use the AVTuner Plus, follow the directions below in the order in which they appear. See Menu Options, on page 6, for more information.
1. Press the Power button to power on the AVTuner Plus. Power on the computer or the Monitor.
2. Press the Menu button on the front panel or remote control to display the Menu Options.
3. Use the Vol buttons to change to the Area Settings menu, then press Enter on the front panel. Use the Ch buttons on the front panel to select your country, then press Enter on the front panel to confirm.
4. Use the Vol button to change to the TV Source menu, then press Enter on the front panel. Use the Ch buttons on the front panel to select TV or CATV, then press Enter on the front panel to confirm.
5. Use the Vol button to change to the Auto Scan menu, then press Enter on the front panel. Use the
Ch buttons on the front panel to select Channel scan, then press Enter on the front panel to begin
scanning. Note: Selecting Freq Scan or Finetune will increase
the number of channels found, however, the process may take longer.

Menu Options
Picture: adjusts brightness, contrast, tint and saturation
Volume: volume control; the volume can also be adjusted using the front panel and remote control buttons
Resolution: adjusts the resolution of the screen between four modes; 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 and 1280x1024
Sleep Setting: selects sleep time settings; Off, 10min, 30min, 60min, 90min
Load Default: select Yes or No to load the default menu values
Screen Set: select 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio
Exit OSD: press enter to exit on screen display
Language: selects language
OSD Mode: selects different on screen display
styles
Screen positions: adjusts horizontal and vertical display axis
TV Source: selects Air (antenna) or CATV (cable or satellite)
Area Settings: selects your country
Favorite Channel: adds or deletes your favorite
channels
Auto Scan: scans for available channels

If your purchase has passed the store's return policy period, please follow these steps to have the product repaired or replaced.
Step 1: Submit your RMA request. Go to www.siig.com, click Support, then RMA to submit a
request to SIIG RMA. If the product is determined to be defective, an RMA number will be issued. SIIG RMA department can also be reached at (510)413-5333.
Step 2: After obtaining an RMA number, ship the product.
Properly pack the product for shipping. All software, cable(s)
and any other accessories that came with the original package must be included.
Clearly write your RMA number on the top of the returned
package. SIIG will refuse to accept any shipping package, and will not be responsible for a product returned without an RMA number posted on the outside of the shipping carton.
You are responsible for the cost of shipping the product to SIIG
