Hardware Installation
The Dual 2.5" SATA MobileRack fits into any available
3.5" drive bay. General instructions for installing the mobile rack are provided below. Since the design of computer cases and motherboards vary, refer to your computer’s reference manual for further information, if needed.
Static Electricity Discharge may permanently damage your system. Discharge any static electricity build up in your body by touching your computer’s case for a few seconds.
1. Turn OFF the power to your computer and any other connected peripheral devices.
2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the computer.

3.5" drive bay before installing your Dual 2.5" SATA
MobileRack.

5. Slide the Dual 2.5" SATA MobileRack into the drive bay and secure it on each side using the mounting screws.
6. Connect a power cable to the power connector that is matched with your system's power supply or use the supplied power adapter cable.
7. Connect one end of the Serial ATA cable to the Dual
2.5" SATA MobileRack and the other end to the motherboard SATA port. Please repeat these steps if you are installing the second hard drive.
8. Close your computer case.
Installing the Hard Drive into the MobileRack
1. Unlock upper and lower covers, then open the door (see Figure 3 on the next page).
Note: Do not force the door to open while it is locked. Otherwise, you will damage the lock.
2. Place one or two hard drive(s) in the slot. Make sure the SATA connector is lined up with the connector inside the MobileRack.
3. Carefully push the hard drive into the MobileRack so that the drive's SATA connector is seated securely, then close the door and lock it.
Note: It must be in the lock position when in use. This prevents unexpected removal while working.

To Verify Installation
Since we didn’t load any additional driver under these Windows OSs, the only way to verify the Dual 2.5" SATA MobileRack works is actually connecting to a SATA controller.
To Verify Hard Disk Drive Connectivity
1. Check Device Manager to verify successfull installation.
For Windows 2000/XP/Server 2003: Right click My Computer, then click Manage.
For Windows Vista™ : Right click Computer, click Manage, then Continue.
For Windows Server 2008: Right click Computer, click Manage, double click Diagnostics.
For Windows 7: Right click Computer, click Manage.
2. Click Device Manager.
3. Double click Disk drives, the serial/model number of the hard drive should be displayed.

Notes
1. Do not open the door of the MobileRack while the hard drive is busy, this may cause damage to your hard drive.
2. It must be in the lock position when in use. This prevents unexpected removal while working.

Step 1: Submit your RMA request. Go to www.siig.com, click Support, then RMA to submit a
request to defective, an RMA number will be issued.
Step 2: After obtaining an RMA number, ship the product.
• Properly pack the product for shipping. All accessories that came with the original package must be included.
• Clearly write your RMA number on the top of the returned package. SIIG will refuse to accept any shipping package, and will not be responsible for a product returned without an RMA number posted on the outside of the shipping carton.
• You are responsible for the cost of shipping. Ship the product to the following address:
