Setting Up Your SB3000
Your new Sprint PCS SB3000 is used in conjunction with
the Handspring™ Visor™ handheld computer.
To use your new SB3000 module with your handheld, you
need to:
Set up and synchronize your handheld.

Set Up And Synchronize Your Handheld
Before you plug in your SB3000 module, make sure your
handheld is set up. It is also recommended that you
synchronize your handheld with your PC before connecting
the SB3000.
Connect the SB3000 To Your Handheld
Install the battery in the SB3000 module (see page 24).

Charge The SB3000 Battery

Plug the travel charger into a wall outlet.

While the SB3000 is charging, the Battery LED is red. The
Batter LED turns green when the SB3000 is fully charged. It
takes about 4 to 5 hours to fully charge the battery. See
page 23 for more information about charging the battery.
Activating Your Module
There are three ways to activate your module:

than your Sprint PCS Communicator (which isn't yet

You will be guided through the activation process. The
process typically takes approximately 30 minutes, but could
take longer during peak times.
