Disposal information
Packaging
The packaging is designed to protect the vacuum cleaner from being damaged during transport. It is made of environment-friendly materials and can be recycled. Dispose of unneeded packaging at recycling stations.
Used vacuum cleaners
Used vacuum cleaners still contain many recyclable materials. Therefore, please take used vacuum cleaners to your retailer or recycling
centre so that they can be recycled. For current disposal methods, please enquire at your appliance dealership or local council.
!
Please note
The mains socket must be protected
by a 16A fuse.
If a fuse should be tripped when you
switch on the vacuum cleaner, this
may be because other electrical
appliances which have a high current
draw are connected to the same
power circuit.
To prevent the fuse from tripping,
select the lowest power setting before
switching the vacuum cleaner on, and
increase the power only once it is
running.

When must the filters be cleaned:
After any operating problem, i.e. after a blockage is
cleared.
At least every six months.
Unlock the filter holder by pressing the two lugs in the direction of the arrow and open it.
Cleaning the permanent filters and microfilters
Refit the dust collector to the vacuum cleaner, push in the carrying handle and close the lid.
Attention: After repeated vacuuming, the dust collector can become scratched on the inside and appear milky. This does not, however, affect the performance of the vacuum cleaner in any way, i.e. it will continue to function as normal.

Remove the microfilter and permanent filter and wash them by hand.
!
Attention: Both the permanent filter and the white fleece filter must be allowed to dry for 24 hours after handwashing, before being refitted.

The vacuum cleaner you have bought is very powerful. Therefore we recommend that you only use the maximum power setting for heavily soiled pile carpets or hard floors. The suction power controller can be used to set any suction power required.
Low suction range:
For vacuuming delicate fabrics, e.g. curtains.
Middle suction range:
For daily vacuuming of lightly soiled floors.
High suction range:
For vacuuming durable floor coverings, hard floors and heavily soiled surfaces.
You have purchased a floor vacuum cleaner which can be used to vacuum up every kind of dry dirt, even using a dust bag.
Part number on the spare filter packaging: VZ52AFG1
Open the vacuum cleaner lid.Remove the dust collector and insert a dust bag. Close the vacuum cleaner lid.
Using dust bags

!
Attention: The dust bag change indicator only works correctly in conjunction with a dust bag.
Open the lid by moving the locking lever in the direction of the arrow.
Seal the dust bag by pulling the locking tab and then remove it.
If the dust bag change indicator is completely yellow when the floor tool is lifted from the floor and the highest suction power is selected, the dust bag must be changed, even though it may not yet be full. In this case, a bag change is necessary due to the type of material being collected. The nozzle, suction pipe and flexible hose must not be blocked, as this causes the dust bag change indicator to come on.
Slide the new dust bag into the holder to the stop.
Attention: The dust bag compartment lid will only close when a dust bag or cloth filter or dust collector is fitted.
Replacing the dust bag
Page 19

Replacing the Hepa filter
If your vacuum cleaner is equipped with a Hepa filter, this should be replaced once a year.
Open the vacuum cleaner lid.Remove the Hepa filter from the guide.Insert the new Hepa filter into the vacuum cleaner
and close the lid.
Replacing the dust bag
Always switch off the vacuum cleaner and disconnect the power cord from the mains before cleaning the appliance. The vacuum cleaner and plastic accessories can be cleaned with a commercial plastics cleaner.
Do not use abrasive, glass or all-purpose cleaners. Never immerse the vacuum cleaner in water.
The dust compartment can, if necessary, be cleaned with a second vacuum cleaner or simply wiped with a dry cloth or a duster.
Subject to technical modifications.
