1 Produktbeschreibung

Der IE FC M12 Plug PRO 4x2 ist ein 8-poliger M12-Stecker, mit dem Sie Industrial
Ethernet-Geräte mit M12-Gigabit-Ethernet-Buchse über eine achtpolige Industrial
Ethernet Fast Connect (FC) Leitung an ein Gigabit-Ethernet-Netz anschließen
können.

Der IE FC M12 Plug PRO 4x2 besteht aus zwei Teilen, dem Ladestück ① inklusive
den 2 Schirmklammern und dem Steckergehäuse ②:

2 Montage

Gehen Sie folgendermaßen vor, um den IE FC M12 Plug PRO 4x2 zu
konfektionieren:

1. Isolieren Sie das Kabel nach den Angaben in der Zeichnung mit dem IE Stripping
Tool (6GK1901-1GA00; grüne Messerkassette) oder mit einem geeigneten
Abisolierwerkzeug mit entsprechender Schnitttiefe ab.

2. Schneiden Sie das innen liegende Kunststoffkreuz bündig mit dem Kabelmantel
ab.

3. Führen Sie das Kabel durch das Ladestück. Achten Sie darauf, dass die
Schirmklammern beim Einführen des Kabels geöffnet sein müssen.

Montage

4. Drücken Sie die zwei Schirmklammern mit einem kleinen Schraubendreher in die
Verrastung.

5. Drehen Sie die verdrillten Adern auf und legen diese entsprechend der
Farbkodierung am Ladestück in die Fugen.

6. Kürzen Sie die eingelegten Adern bündig zum Gehäuserand des Ladestückes.

7. Verschrauben Sie das Ladestück und das Steckergehäuse miteinander. Achten
Sie beim Zusammenführen der beiden Teile darauf, dass die Führungsnut auf
dem Ladestück mit der Feder des Steckergehäuses ineinander greifen. Die
beiden Teile müssen fest verschraubt werden, damit die Schneidklemmen durch
die Aderisolierung schneiden können und der sichere Kontakt der Ader zur
Schneidklemme gewährleistet ist.

3 Demontage

Gehen Sie folgendermaßen vor, um den IE FC M12 Plug PRO 4x2 zu demontieren:

1. Drehen Sie das Steckergehäuse vom Ladestück ab.

2. Öffnen Sie die zwei Schirmklammern mit einem kleinen Schraubendreher.

3. Ziehen Sie das Kabel aus dem Ladestück heraus.

Hinweis
Die Schneidklemmkontakte des IE M12 Plug PRO 4x2 können bis zu 10 Mal

gelöst und neu konfektioniert werden. Kontaktierte Leitungsenden dürfen nicht
noch einmal kontaktiert werden. Schneiden Sie daher bei einer erneuten
Konfektionierung das Kabel etwa 1 cm ab.

1 Product description

The IE FC M12 Plug PRO 4x2 is an 8-pin M12 plug with which you can connect
Industrial Ethernet devices with an M12 gigabit Ethernet socket via an 8-wire
Industrial Ethernet Fast Connect (FC) cable to a gigabit Ethernet network.

The IE FC M12 Plug PRO 4x2 consists of two parts, the loader ① including the two

2 Installation

Follow these steps to assemble the IE FC M12 Plug PRO 4x2:

1. Strip the cable as shown in the illustration using the IE stripping tool (6GK1901­1GA00; green knife cassette) or with a similar stripping tool with a suitable cutting
depth.

2. Cut off the interior plastic filler flush with the cable jacket.

3. Feed the cable through the loader. Make sure that the shield clamps are open
when you insert the cable.

4. Press the two shield clamps into the locking mechanism with a small screwdriver.

5. Untwist the wires and fit them into the loader according to the color-coding.

6. Shorten the inserted wires flush with the edge of the loader housing.

7. Screw the loader and the connector housing together. When joining the two parts,
make sure that the guide notch on the loader engages the spring of the connector
housing. The two parts must be securely screwed together so that the insulation
piercing terminals can cut through the wire insulation ensuring reliable contact
between the wire and the terminal.

3 Dismantling

Follow these steps to dismantle the IE FC M12 Plug PRO 4x2:

1. Unscrew the connector housing from the loader.

2. Open the two shield clamps with a small screwdriver.

3. Pull the cable out of the loader.

Note
The piercing contacts of the IE M12 Plug PRO 4x2 can be released and re-used

up to 10 times. The ends of cables that have been pierced once must not be
pierced a second time. If you reassemble the cable, cut approximately 1 cm off.
