Der CP 5613 A2 ist eine PCI-Karte zum Anbinden von PCs an den PROFIBUS.
Die wesentlichen Eigenschaften sind:

Eigenschaften des CP 5614 A2

Der CP 5614 A2 hat die Eigenschaften des CP 5613 A2 und zusätzlich:

● Zweiter RS485-Anschluss zur zusätzlichen Anbindung des CP als DP-Slave an
ein zweites DP-Netz.

● Programmgesteuerte Übertragung von Daten zwischen Master- und Slave­Modul um hierarchische PROFIBUS-Netze aufbauen zu können.

● DP-Master und DP-Slave sind parallel betreibbar.

3 Installationsanleitung

Vorgehensweise

Nach erfolgter Installation der Produkt-Software installieren Sie die Baugruppen
CP 5613 A2/CP 5614 A2 wie folgt:

Schritt Beschreibung

1 Machen Sie sich mit folgenden Regeln zum Hantieren und Einbauen

von Baugruppen vertraut (EGB-Richtlinien):

● Fassen Sie Bauelemente gar nicht und Baugruppen nur am Rand
an. Anschlussstifte und Leiterbahnen dürfen Sie nicht berühren.

● Bevor Sie den Rechner öffnen, müssen Sie die elektrostatische La­dung von Ihrem Körper ableiten. Das kann dadurch geschehen,
dass Sie Metallteile an der Rückwand des Rechners berühren, be­vor Sie das Stromversorgungskabel ziehen.

● Auch von Werkzeugen, die Sie für die Arbeiten im Rechner benöti­gen, muss die elektrostatische Ladung abgeleitet werden.

● Das Stecken und Ziehen von Bauelementen und Baugruppen darf
nur in spannungslosem Zustand erfolgen.

● Betreiben Sie den Rechner nicht mit geöffnetem Deckel.

● Beachten Sie ggf. Besonderheiten beim Betrieb von Baugruppen

am PCI-Bus im Gerätehandbuch zu Ihrem Rechner.

2 Schalten Sie Ihren Rechner ab und ziehen Sie alle Leitungen.
3 Öffnen Sie den Rechner wie im zugehörigen Gerätehandbuch be-

schrieben.

4 Stellen Sie sicher, dass folgende Voraussetzungen gegeben sind:

● Ein beliebiger PCI-Steckplatz ist frei. (Die detaillierten Anforderun­gen an den PCI-Steckplatz finden Sie in Kapitel 4.)

● Der PC verfügt über eine angemessene Leistungsfähigkeit, d. h.
mindestens einen Pentium II Prozessor mit 266 MHz und einen
Speicherausbau von 256 Mbyte RAM.

● Beachten Sie bitte die Ressourcen-Anforderungen wie in Kapitel 4
beschrieben.

5 Stecken Sie die Baugruppe auf einen der freien PCI- bzw.

PCI-X-Steckplätze auf der Grundplatine.

7 Stecken Sie alle Leitungen am Rechner bis auf die PROFIBUS-

Leitung/Leitungen und schalten Sie Ihren Rechner ein.

8 Beachten Sie die Hinweise im Dokument „PC-Stationen in Betrieb

nehmen“.

Hinweis 1

An der Baugruppen-Hardware sind keine Einstellungen vorzunehmen.

Hinweis 2

Wird eine Baugruppe in einen Baugruppensteckplatz gesteckt, der für eine höhere
Bustaktrate ausgelegt ist als die Baugruppe, passt sich der Bustakt der gesteckten
Baugruppe an.

CP 5613 A2 und CP 5614 A2 sind für 66 MHz PCI-Bustakt ausgelegt.
Wenn der CP 5613 A2 oder CP 5614 A2 in einem PCI-X Steckplatz betrieben wird,
so wird der Bustakt in diesem PCI-X Segment automatisch auf 66 MHz reduziert.

Der Bustakt des CP 5613 A2 oder CP 5613 A2 wird auf 33 MHz reduziert, wenn
am selben Bus eine andere Baugruppe steckt, die nur für 33 MHz ausgelegt ist.

Achtung

Die Kommunikationsprozessoren CP 5613 A2 und CP 5614 A2 werden ab der
Version CD 11/2003 (V6.2) der SIMATIC NET-Produkt-CD oder dem Developer Kit
V3.1 unterstützt.

The CP 5613 A2 is a PCI card for connecting PCs to PROFIBUS. The essential
characteristics are as follows:

Properties of the CP 5614 A2

The CP 5614 A2 has the same characteristics as the CP 5613 A2 but has the fol­lowing extra features:

● Second RS-485 port for additional attachment of the CP as a DP slave to a
second DP network.

● Program-controlled transfer of data between the master and slave module to
allow the implementation of HIERARCHICAL PROFIBUS networks.

● DP master and DP slave can be operated at the same time.

3 Installation Instructions

Procedure

Once you have installed the product software, install the CP 5613 A2/CP 5614 A2
modules as follows:

Step Description

1 Make sure that you keep to the following rules for handling and install-

ing modules (guidelines for avoiding ESD ):

● Do not touch components and pick up modules only by their edges.
Do not touch the pins or conductors.

● Before opening the computer, make sure that you discharge any
electrostatic charge from your body. You can do this by touching
metal parts on the back panel of the computer before unplugging
the power supply cable.

● Make sure that you also discharge any electrostatic charge from
tools you intend to use inside the computer.

● Components and modules must only be inserted or removed when
the power supply is off.

● Do not operate the computer with the housing open.

● Read any sections in the manual of your computer relating to the

operation of modules on the PCI bus.

2 Turn off your computer and disconnect all the cables.

3 Open the computer as described in the computer manual.

4 Make sure that the following conditions are met:

● A PCI slot is free. (For more detailed information on the require­ments of the PCI slot, refer to Chapter 4.)

● Make sure that your PC is powerful enough, in other words, at least
a 266 MHz Pentium II processor and at least 256 Mbytes of mem­ory.

● Check that you have the required resources as described in Chap­ter 4.

5 Insert the module in one of the free PCI or PCI-X slots on the mother

board.

6 Secure the module and close your computer as described in the man-

ual for your computer.

7 Reconnect all the cables to the computer except for the PROFIBUS

cable(s) and turn on your computer.

8 Read the information in the document "Commissioning PC Stations".

There are no hardware settings necessary on the module itself.

Note 2

If a module is inserted in a module slot, that is designed for a higher clock rate than
the module, the clock rate adapts to the inserted module.

CP 5613 A2 and CP 5614 A2 are designed for a 66 MHz PCI bus clock rate.
If the CP 5613 A2 or CP 5614 A2 is operated in a PCI-X slot, the bus clock rate in
