Installing the camera
Caution
Scanning system: 2:1 interlace PAL
If you are using a DC supply, make sure the polarity is correct. Incorrect connection may cause malfunction and/or damage to the camera.
Step 1: Mounting the camera
Hor. Resolution: 540 TVL Min. Illumination: 0.5Lux @F1.4
1. Attach the camera to a wall bracket, ceiling bracket, pan/tilt mount or other suitable fitting. Use of the ¼ inch thread tripod mount hole (3) to prevent the camera from rotating.
S/N-Ratio: >50 dB Synchronisation: Internal or Line-Lock Video Output: composite or Y/C
Select one of the following options
Power requirement: DC12V/AC24V ±10% or
~AC100-240V ±10% 50Hz
2. Mount the cable guide to the camera to ensure that the cables are kept securely in place (see figure A).
For 12 V DC:
Connect shielding to terminal GND (14).
Power consumption: 3.5W @ DC12V/AC24V or
4.5W @ ~AC100-240V
 Connect 12 V (-) to terminal =DC12V- (15).  Connect 12 V (+) to terminal =DC12V+ (16).
Step 2: Screw the lens onto the camera
Camera weight: 550 g (Max.)
For 24 V AC:
Select one of the following options:
Operating temperature: -10 – +50
Connect 24 V (~) cables to terminals
~AC24V (15 and 16).
For C-mount lens: add a CS-C adapter to the
camera, then screw the lens directly onto the camera.
Connect shielding to terminal GND (14).
For CS-mount lens: Screw the lens directly
onto the camera (no adapter ring required).
Adjusting camera settings
Setting flange focal distance
Step 3: Connecting the lens
Two type of lens (DC or Video controlled) can be used for this camera. However, please take note to select DC or VIDEO lens using switch (11) before connecting the lens and make sure the wire connection for each type lens is conform to the pin assignment below.
Caution
Risk of damage to camera! Ensure that the locking screw is loosened before turning the adjustment screw. Avoid forcing the adjustment screw.
Fixed focus lenses
1. Loosen the locking screw (2) by turning it counter-clockwise.
Then connect the control cable to the IRIS connector (4, side or rear) on the camera.

2. NC 2. Damp+
3. VIDEO 3. Drive +
4. GND 4. Drive-
2. Open the diaphragm to its fullest extent manually. If the images are overexposed, or for lenses with automatic diaphragm adjustment: reduce lighting levels or hold a neutral grey filter in front of the lens.
3. Set the focus to ∞.
Step 4: Connecting video signal
4. Point the camera at an object (at a distance of at least 2000 times the focal length of the lens).
Select one of the following options: For composite video: connect BNC connector
VIDEO OUT (6) to the monitor with a coax cable.
5. Adjust the backfocus ring (1), alter the flange focal distance until the image is clearly in focus.
For Y/C connection: connect Mini-DIN
connector Y/C (8) to the monitor.
6. Re-tighten the locking screw (2).
Varifocal lenses
Step 5: Synchronization
1. Loosen the locking screw (2) by turning it counter-clockwise.
LL and INT mode are available for this camera. The factory default is INT mode. When supplied by an AC power source user can change the setting to Line Lock mode as necessary.
2. Open the diaphragm to its fullest extent manually If the images are overexposed, or for lenses with automatic diaphragm adjustment: reduce lighting levels or hold a neutral grey filter in front of the lens.
Step 6: Gain Control:
Two kinds of gain are available for user by switch of DIP SW (12) pin 4.
3. Set the focus to ∞.
4. Select the wide angle (min. focal length) setting.
