Damage due to unsuitable mounting location

Danger of electric shock
z Connect the device only to power sources with the specified voltage. Voltage
supply requirements can be found on the type label and on the mains adapter.
z Connect the device only to a power source that complies with the Limited Power
Source requirements to EN 60950-1.
z Connect the device only to a power source that complies with SELV
requirements.
Risk of cable damage due to stress

7 System installation
Installation of the camera must be performed by qualified service personnel in accordance with all local national electrical and mechanical codes. Perform the following steps to install the camera.

When using the camera in conjunction with a video matrix switcher (SIMATRIX SYS, 648, 164) or other telemetry equipment (different protocol) an interface converter CAC0103 is required.

7.2.1 Installation 1 (wall and mounting base)
1. Drill the mounting holes using the drilling template (or the bottom of the
mounting base).
2. Insert the plastic anchors into the holes.
3. Connect BNC cable and the communication lines.
4. Align the plastic anchors with the holes in the mounting base.
5. Insert the torx screws (T-20) and tighten them.
6. Adjust the camera as required using the pan & tilt function. Tighten the grub
screw and the two torx screws to lock the camera in position.

7.2.2 Installation 2 (mounting base)
1. Drill the mounting holes using the drilling template (or the bottom of the
mounting base).
2. Insert the plastic anchors into the holes.
3. Punch out the cable entry hole in the mounting base.
4. Connect BNC cable and the communication lines.
5. Align the plastic anchors with the holes in the mounting base.
6. Insert the torx screws (T-20) and tighten them.
7. Adjust the camera as required using the pan & tilt function. Tighten the grub
screw and the two torx screws to lock the camera in position.

7.2.3 Installation 3 (cable gland without mounting base)
1. Loosen the grub screw using the Allen key.
2. Remove the mounting base by turning it counter-clockwise.
3. Fit the cable gland into the hole.
4. Tighten the grub screw and seal the hole using teflon tape or silicon.
5. Attach the camera to the mounting block.

7.2.4 Installation 4 (optional installation box)
1. Drill the mounting holes for the installation box using the drilling template.
2. Attach the box to the wall or ceiling using the screws and plastic anchors and
O-rings included in the delivery.
3. Route the camera connection cable through the cable gland and connect the power supply and communication lines to the terminal block (see mounting instructions).
4. Attach the camera to the installation box using the cap-head screws (M5x20).
5. Close the box and lock the cover using the cap-head screw M5x10.
6. Adjust the camera as required using the pan & tilt function. Tighten the grub
screw and the two torx screws to lock the camera in position.

CAUTION
Protection against ingress of solid foreign objects or water
This camera is ingress-protected to IP66 only if installed in accordance with the instructions in this manual and appropriate waterproofing is applied. For outdoor use, the mounting base requires waterproofing.
Waterproofing should be made by qualified service personnel or system installers in accordance to the local requirements.

Do not connect the camera to the power supply until all other connections have been completed. Any unused wires should be trimmed and insulated.

8.1 General
8.1.1 Automatic switching between colour and B/W mode
The camera must be connected to an external sensor to receive day/night detection signals.

8.1.2 RS-485 connection
The camera can be controlled remotely by an external device or control system, such as a control keyboard, using RS-485 half-duplex. Connect marked Rx+, Rx­to Tx+ and Tx- of the RS-485 control system.

10 Troubleshooting and maintenance
10.1 Troubleshooting
If problems occur, check to ensure the camera is installed in accordance with the instructions in this manual. Isolate the problem to a specific piece of equipment in the system and refer to the equipment manual for further information.
PROBLEM POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Nothing appears on the screen. Are all cables between the camera and the monitor
connected properly?
The image on the screen is too dark. Is the lens dirty?
If so, clean the lens with a soft, clean cloth.
The camera is not working properly and the surface of the camera case is hot.
Is the camera connected to the proper power source?
The contrast on the screen is too weak. Adjust the contrast feature of the monitor. Is the camera
exposed to strong light? If so, change the camera position.
10.2 Maintenance
Preventive maintenance allows minor faults to be detected and corrected before they become serious and cause equipment failure. Therefore, the following maintenance tasks should be performed on a three-monthly basis:
z Inspect all connection cables for deterioration or other damage. z Clean all components with a soft, clean cloth. z Check that all fixings are secure.

All electrical and electronic products should be disposed of separately from the municipal waste stream via designated collection facilities appointed by the government or the local authorities.
