Target group of this documentation
This documentation is intended for use by specialists only. All work described in this document is to be performed by experienced professionals with training and practice in the installation, commissioning and maintenance of ventilation units. Safe and proper assembly of this unit is not possible without expert knowledge.
Correct use
• The AEROTUBE is a passive air ventilator. The room is ventilated as the indoor and outdoor air pressures are equalised (pressure differential).
• The AEROTUBE is intended for installation in the exterior walls of permanent structures in accordance with our installation and planning documents as well as the specifications of our assembly instructions and is only suitable for the ventilation of enclosed rooms.
• The AEROTUBE must be mounted in the intended installation position.
• Do not use the AEROTUBE in environments with corrosive or explosive atmospheres (dust, vapour or gas).
• Use the AEROTUBE only with genuine accessories from SIEGENIA.
• Use the AEROTUBE only when it is in a technically sound condition. Do not modify the unit's components in any way.
• Ventilation openings must be kept free and must not be blocked by other equipment, furniture or objects
• The sound absorption pipe can be shortened to the required length (minimum length of sound absorption pipe 150 mm).

*The vent duct UFD (UF; L = 497 mm) is only included once in the scope of delivery and must be cut through for installation. The max. dimensions X and Y are dependent on at which point the vent duct (UF) is cut through.

Installation
• Remove the AEROTUBE carefully from the packaging and do not place it on the filter casing or the outer cover. We recommend storing the unit on a soft surface (e.g. cardboard or sheet) during installation.
• Check AEROTUBE for cleanliness prior to installation. If necessary, thoroughly clean the unit as described.
• Install the AEROTUBE in its intended installation position and seal it in accordance with the installation directives applicable on site.
• Close the valve via the slide switch on the filter casing to prevent contamination (e.g. dust) from entering the unit during installation.
Drill a core hole (in the room side) and shorten the sound absorption pipe

Trim the pipe according to the formula:
Note: With composite thermal insulation systems (WDVS), the flat duct for insulation is > 5 mm. Due to this, the dimension X is extended accordingly.
Attention! A pipe adapter is used additionally for AEROTUBE DD 110 types FL, SFL, FUB and SFUB. Hence the X dimension must be calculated as shown below:
