INSTALLATION GUIDE
ALL-IN-ONE HEAT PUMP WATER HEATER
To be read in conjunction with the Owner’s Manual
Clearance of unit from wall
The All-in-one heat pump water heater can sit hard up against the wall (does not need to sit 500mm away
from it) provided that the air inlet and outlet grills are pointing away from or adjacent to the wall. Also you
should ensure that the Siddons Solarstream label is still visible because behind this label underneath the
heat pump lid you will find the digital controller.
Ensure accessibility to the heat pump components under the lid
To ensure accessibility to the heat pump components under the lid in the event of servicing in the future,
make sure there is at least 600mm above the top on the heat pump, and if it is hard against the wall,
remove the screw adjacent to the wall fastening the heat pump lid to the water heater. The remaining three
screws will be sufficient to hold the lid securely. The parameters of the controller are pre-set to deliver hot
water at 60 deg C. There are also diagnostic parameters on this controller that can be accessed in the
event of an operating fault.
Identifying the air inlet and outlet
Please note the air inlet is through the grill to the evaporator fin coil. Site the unit so the air can blow out into
clear space.
The Air outlet is through the round vent.

Warning label regarding hydrogen gas
Please disregard this warning as it is only applicable to the use of anodes in mild steel hot water tanks
which are not used with this stainless steel (316 grade) storage tank.
One-way valve
The one-way valve supplied with this unit is not required if you have purchased a QIK kit where the Duo
valve has a one-way stop valve and isolating valve combination.
Size of plinth/concrete base pad: 600mm x 600mm
For outdoor installation, a plinth or concrete base pad measuring 600mm x 600mm is required in
accordance with Australian Standard AS/NZS3500.4 to properly support the Solarstream water tank. This is
to assure that the water tank remains in a vertical position throughout its usable life and will not lean over
due to possible erosion of soil under the plinth, or such risk.
PLEASE NOTE: IT IS ESSENTIAL FOR AIR IN THE WATER LINE TO BE PURGED COMPLETELY
FOR THE HEAT EXCHANGER TO OPERATE. Ensure all air is purged from the water lines by running the
hot water tap in the kitchen or laundry sink or if access to the house is unavailable carefully purge the air by
loosening the hot water outlet fitting on the tank. Failure to do this will result in an error message EE1.
Setting up the QIK kit (plumbing components)
We recommend setting up the QIK kit as per the photo below. NOTE THE COLD WATER SUPPLY FOR
THE TEMPERING VALVE IS ABOVE AND HOT WATER SUPPLY BELOW.
Insulating the spare outlets
FOR added insulation, please install the black rubber caps over the outlets that are not in use.
